  1. They probably did and I could be completely wrong about Shamek. I just don't from memory ever remember him stepping up in a bigger meeting before - unlike Piotr who I think is great at stepping up when it matters and will be a great rider in a few years time.
  2. Or you could argue that Swindon should be ashamed to only win by 4 against a team whos heat leaders only scored 14 points!
  3. MJJ isnt going well recently though. And i always get the impression with Shamek Pawlicki he's not quite got that extra spark for these meetings. But otherwise I pretty much agree, other than I can see Bomber making top 5.
  4. Probably has. But frankly, he should be capable of top 5. If you want to qualify for next season you have to finish top 3(?) in the final so you can hardly complain if you can't make top 5 in the semi!
  5. In short, no. The only EL action you can see now without leaving the house is what Sky Sports show.
  6. The PL is 80% foreign. How many of them foreigners do you think are NOT riding abroad? Another myth shattered.
  7. Why? He's refused in the past. TBH I'm amazed his brother and Emil are riding, especially after Emils interview in the Speedway Star in March.
  8. Being there it was barely audible. It really was a tiny minority - its one of my pet hates and had it been any more than that I'd have ranted about it. I can only assume the tiny minority were near a camera so it was picked up and sounded far worse than it was. The Swindon fans near us were a great laugh,we have some great banter with them and it seems reading others posts on here, facebook and twitter it was the same elsewhere around the stadium.
  9. I just dont think there are quite the words to expressive my bemusement at this one!
  10. I don't think Masters is a bad guest tbf. I know he didn't do too well tonight but I think he's capable of 6 or 7 even as a heat leader.
  11. The gap is still massive. Lets take Leicester, worst team in the EL. Their 5th rider (Masters) is, with and without bonus points the PL #2 to Stead. So they have 5 riders who would blitz anything the PL has to offer. Then they have Auty who is 8 point PL rider, so is better than all but Edinburgh and Somersets 2nd heat leader so again, they'd not get much out of him. Actually take any PL team and any EL team and match every rider up against ever other rider on the team. You get 49 comparisons, I bet the EL teams win 35+ of them every simple time. There not a PL team that would beat an EL team.
  12. It license for GP but passport for SWC. As evidence I once again use Robert Lambert as my example, he's riding for GB but they could not put him forward for the Under 21 titles.
  13. You're not alone! And in a word, no! in a little more than a word, we were todl that it's last 20 meetings but only meetings from '14 and '15 count. But for some unknown reason, despite the fact he has no ridden 9 meetings this season, Freddie Lindgren doesn't have a 2015 average but seems to have some mix of his old and new average!
  14. Exactly. It makes no sense at all.
  15. So do 2013 meetings count now or not? Because they're not included in Danny Kings average. But they are in Freddie Lindgrens.
  16. Again, go on then.... I'll name the NL rider as he's not yet been named. Adam Ellis.
  17. Now to totally screw with the numbers, when I arrived there was a large queue to get in last night, so a lot of people still paid £17.
  18. Yes I am. Check the EL teams on the BSPA site. There is not a single NL rider in the EL. The Premier League.
  19. I don't know why I'm bothering to reply to such lies but here goes. Names me one, just a single EL rider who is riding in the NL this season. Where as the PL has Branford, Clegg, Chapman, Morley, Greenwood, Greaves and did have Perks until he was dropped. I don't know exactly. But I do think, despite TWKs incorrect claims, the draft is one of the better things to come out of the EL in recent seasons. All British reserves, smoe of them have come on leaps and bounds too. But what is the PL doing to fix the decline? Nothing as I see it. They are all charging £1 less than the EL too - the same EL that when it proposed dropping prices last season to allow for the draft had PL promoters crying they could not do that as it would make the PL look expensive! And the PL has not been weakening? And again, you persist with that lie about NL riders in the EL. It's funny though, as we're constantly told PL and NL is better so surely more NL riders is a good thing? As for "Premier League double uppers" - there are far more EL riders doubling up than there are PL riders doubling up.
  20. The worrying thing is Phil would probably quite happily record himself in work "suffering" from food poisoning too! Slightly more serious, if he wasn't fit, he shouldn't have been riding tbf.
  21. So to confirm, if rumours are true that Kent/Sittingbourne are to go Elite (which is the starting point of this thread) you think they don't want to for EL because they think the NL/PL is better? So why are they, if rumours are true, going EL then? Gun to their head? Threats of violence on their children? No. Because most promoters fail to promote the fact they're in the top league. How many do you think sold the fact they had a World Champion their last season? Bet it was never mentioned. The name "Tai Woffinden" meant nothing to most people, "The World Champion" now that means something!
  22. Lambert rode in the GB under 21s (and the senior GB semi) but he could not go any further due to his license. Rasmus Jensen would I assume be the same, can ride at Danish level but could not go any further unless the Swedes nominate him.
  23. Food poisoning normally gives people the trotts. It seems it made Troys wrist roll off the trittle after 3.75 laps 3 times last night. Odd! I commented last night he had got one hell of a roller off 15 metres TBF, other than when he flew through the tapes he sat still in his other 3 rides, 2 which he lead down the back straight so he does normally make fair starts.
