  1. Brilliant. And you should see the choice of guests! Zagar (hates Leicester, doesn't do guest bookings), North (is not riding for Australia), Bjerre and Morris. I'll ask once again, why are these meeting arranged when riders are missing?!
  2. Emil has posted on facebook he will NOT be riding at Gorican.
  3. They all earn nothing. They al do it for the fans entertainment.
  4. It's not. Team GB have been invited. As soon as you use the Team GB name you need the ACU/SCB permission - it's why when Newport used to have GB vs Oz meeting they were actually just "Lion vs Kangaroo" to get around the issue. As soon as you use the countries name the countries authorities get involved - as mad as it sounds. Clearly it's the case or the SCB/ACU wouldn't be able to do anything about it would they? And you're saying they have.
  5. Read the first sentence and was about the say, "the cheek of it, he'd be the first to complain" then I read his second sentence His last question made me smile too, it's easy Adam, Bomber is so laid back he'll just go with the flow, if thats riding on the rubbishtest track known to man then he'll do it. But if it's not riding he'll probably go with that too. As a fan I sometimes wish he was a little less laid back!
  6. If he's travelling to Kings Lynn by taxi from Aberdeen he probably can!
  7. They also seem to have glossed over the abortion that was the 2001 German GP in Berlin.
  8. For the record, quality control measures for moisture content is piling the shale up in Newport docks and covering it in a tarpaulin.
  9. I think he ridden there once. He guest for the Bees about 2 years ago. I don't understand why Cov/BV is not arranged on a Friday where Edinburgh have no meeting.
  10. No Stead or Cook. Rumours suggest returns for two ex-Bees, Schlein and Howarth.
  11. I have no idea. But someone above suggested he did. Just pointing out he was a little deluded if he did expect to ride.
  12. Just taking the last 2 EL meeting. Both on Monday. Heat 1. At Wolves the two second strings (two lowest average riders in the 1-5) finished 1st and 2nd and the home number 1 finished last. While at BV at about the same time Majet Zagar the home number 1 was finishing behind Coventry #5 Stuart Robson who is the 2nd lowest EL rider by average in 2015. In the BV vs Coventry meeting the Coventry reserve score a full maximum. Thats just taking the two most recent EL meetings. They certainly make RocketBen1s claims look very, very wrong!
  13. I don't have any stats for the NL yet - but intent to have them for this season. I'll run off the other stats for you later - should I remember. But as an educated guess, I bet the EL number 7s beat EL 1st more often than PL number 7 beat PL number 1s. Think about it, theres a lot more riders in the PL than the EL so it stands to reason the gap between the top and the bottom would have been greater. Admittedly that gap has been artificially widened now but as I said, they don't race each other. The bottom EL reserves tend to be the better PL reserves and the better EL second strings tend to be PL number 1st so the biggest difference between the two sets of riders is probably slightly smaller in he EL at present.
  14. Do you know why its rare to see reserves beating heat leaders in the EL? Because they don't ride against each others. However, prior to the change in 2014, I run the stats off previously for 2012 and 2013 to see how often reserves beat heat leaders in the PL and EL and the FACT are that as a % of heats EL reserves beat EL heat leaders more often than PL reserves beat PL heat leaders. D'oh!
  15. Agreed. The whole lot of them either screwed up or used a screw up to scrw things up some more when with a little bit of will, determination and doing a professional job while thinking of the fans could have seen the whole farce sorted a lot better. Had they not spent an hour arsing about with the tapes then they would have had an hour to actually do some work on the track - the riders would have probably been more receptive to it too. But the riders when stropping off should have probably thought a little about the fans and given it a go, surely for 4 more heats to see if the track did become dangerous. The referee should have not been rubbish, between him and Phil Morris they probably had Magic and Doyley wound up anyway and Woffy was probably not best pleased. Then when they did re-run a heat that upset Nicki. So between them they were upsetting riders who probably just wanted it over or to hit someone. Nobody comes out of this whole sorry mess looking good. Ole should have done a better job on the track, the referee should have been consistent and fair. Phil should not have chased after Nicki and showed he was willing to back down. The riders should have gone out to provide a show to the fans.
  16. Still none the wiser. Track men can be criticized. Does this mean riders can be too? Or are riders still sacred and must not be criticized?
  17. So, let me get this right. Ole Olsens opinion on tracks is irrelevant because we can see they're rubbish. Len Silvers opinions on tracks is irrelevant because anyone who goes to Rye House can see he's lost the plot. But woe betide anyone who dares to criticize a rider because they're the experts who rides bikes. I call bollocks. It's one or the other. Either because riders are beyond reproach then so are track guys. Or if track guys are able to be criticised so are riders. What is it about speedway riders that means we can't possibility ever say anything bad about them? Also, don't those defending the riders over the track feel like ** now a rider has come out and said it wasn't about the track but the start gate?!
  18. So come on then. Explain the logic of that one. How does covering the seats improve H&S? Really? Nah. Can't be true. We're told that the riders are experts so they know best. But it seems that despite Ole Olson being an expert his opinion doesn't count. I'm confused now.
  19. C'mon then. Explain this one. In what way does covering the seats make them safer?
  20. Exactly. You can buy a kit in Halford for about £30. The cost is nothing over a season.
  21. Shocking. Someone speaks out against an alcohol and habitual drunk driver and he is the one who gets banned (to all intents and purposes) from a meeting. It seem the PC madness extends to Sweden too. Lindback should be the one punished, not Berntzon.
  22. But it's never a clubs fault if a rider gets injured before his first meeting. Was it Coventrys fault in 2010 when Pawlickis debut was rained off and in the next meeting he was missing for a Polish U21 meeting and Coventry had to use a junior in his place? They reverted back to their original 1-7 beating Birks was in the team. As Birks was not riding PL he should have been riding. As he was not riding PL then no facility is allowed. As Coventry found out last year when they could not get a single rider on the draft to agree to ride, when you have no facility you have to go with a blank.
  23. Correct I do. I'm using the same screwed up logic that says the rider are experts so can demand what they like. They apparently know how to ride a bike as thats their job. So I'm pointing out that using that stupid theory that Ole Olsen is an expert track man who he knows how to build a track. So you need a statement from him?Don't you think he's professional enough to only provide them with a good track? And wheres this statement that says the riders through the track was unfit?
  24. Ole Olsen has ridden a speedway bike. He has won many World Titles. He has prepared more tracks than most. Yet a few people on here seem to be arguing with his expert opinion. Thats odd. As I don't believe they have won as much as him on a speedway bike or preped as many tracks.
  25. This. You cannot expect to tell Team GB to stick their place and then expect to ride for Team GB in the pairs!
