So if the rider missing is foreign, Newcastle would have got a facility according to the rules. Yet because he's British then Newcastle get no facility. What an effing joke. And they wonder why the sport is on its arse. Robert HAS to ride in Poland but no facility is allowed. Had he been German, French, Swedish etc then it would be claimed his FMN had recalled him in line with the international fixture list and a guest would be allowed. Only in British Speedway can you punish British riders and clubs that sign British riders

Fair play Jye Ethridge. When Edinburgh signed him he was rated quite highly but to say he failed is an understatement. Then Berwick signed him and I wondered why. But his scoring has got better as the season has progressed. 10 from 4 riding at number 3 is pretty impressive.

That was Woffy back to his best. Knows he doesn't have to win every ride, a sensible second is better than a blast that leads to losing a place. Rode sensibly and scored the points while those ahead of him struggled a little. 5 riders within 10 points at the top of be table. Still any one of 5 can win it. Can't see Freddie doing it, Magic I just don't think has the mentality. I don't know enough about Dudek to make any real predictions but he strikes me as the most head strong of Poles for a long time. As for Woffy and Doyle, they're both capable.

I think it sums up speedway fans tbh. All a bit thick.

Well Done to the Speedway Star on wasting their time on a troll. The troll has won and made the Speedway Star look like idiots for biting and they don't even know it! Just sums up the Speedway Star and what they consider important and worthy of our money. Actually try "investigating" something worth investigating rather than this pile of crap.

TBF he was more good than bad at Coventry and I think you'll find Coventry fans have more good, positive, find memories and views of the guy than bad. As stevebrum is happy to remind people he was dropped last on a few season ago but has been back and had a good season since. The BV fans only had good things to say about his time there and while Birmingham fans may not have much good to say about him they never saw the best of KK, Bjarne or Harris, the 3 "star" number 1s they had in their time in the EL suggesting it was more management than riders. Once you get a happy KK and he starts scoring points it tends to continue. That first meeting maximum was pretty huge for seeing him turn things around, to have scored another since means, IMO, you have the good KK back. I wouldn't be surprised if he averages 9+ for Rye House.

I just want to know what the people claiming it's farcical suggest.
-
Team manager who told anyone who'd listen he didnt want him there! Hardly the way to motivate a rider that is know for having pretty fragile confidence is it? Some will continue to slag him off whatever but I am not at all shocked that he's riding for you guys rather than practising. He almost always put Coventry first when riding for us.

Kings Lynn Vs Wolves ( Double Header) 23.08,17
SCB replied to g13webb's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Actually, yes it can. The sport has too many teams, or not enough riders. Lose 4 or 5 teams and then you don't need doubling up to fill teams. -
Opinions fine. Asking stupid questions and when the answer is obvious going off on one just makes people look like dickheads.
-
Woah, hang on, who mentioned credibility? The question was who would riders ride for. Straw man argument here. Someone asked who the riders would ride for if they double up. The rules make this clear. But speedway fans are too thick or want to see the World burn so act as if they are and ask inane questions to make a situation out to be something it's not. Next we'll have someone regaling us with the story of the time a first timer was stood next to them so they told them how guests work, how doubling up works, how the eligibility for heat 15 works, and about the TR and before the first heat that first timer had walked out. Yeah, speedway is fecked. We know it but speedway fans really love driving it home with their pet ideas and faux stupidity.

Relegation And Promotion Play Offs
SCB replied to flagrag's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Surely you do as the rules say? King and Newman ride for Ipswich, Bjerre and Bates for Sheffield. Because they're the teams that have priority. Honestly not sure why this is so hard to work out. -

No, I don't see a problem. Nobody has posted on this thread of any problem. Just people doing the usual speedway thing of claiming there is a problem where there is no problem. Feel free to explain the problem you have seen.
-
It'll be the the usual priority rules. Only speedway fans could look for a problem where one doesn't exist.

Jack Holder And The (lack Of A) 9 Month Ban
SCB replied to SCB's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I agree that it s a crap situation, I can understand one rider missing due to current meeting load but BV shouldn't be letting two miss the same meeting. That said, IoW can hardly complain about poor opposition, if Bewley and Smith are both replaced by 2.00 riders then the Bv teams combined average is still greater than that of IoWs, so maybe IoW have been ripping people off all season? -
Relegation And Promotion Play Offs
SCB replied to flagrag's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
They do it all the time. I got fecked over by Poole a couple of years ago and couldn't attend as the date was changed last minute. As if we matter, we just turn up every week and love handing over that cash. -
That actually makes perfect sense. Maybe in future it would make more sense for the BSPA to add a description explaining why a heat has been picked.
-
If all your riders are missing because they're doubling up then you can have guests for them all I seem to remember.

Swindon Vs Kings Lynn 21 August 2017
SCB replied to Steve0's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I just hope Lynn can at least keep it close. The better they perform without Batch and Holder the bigger the middle figure they're sticking up to them and all the other top guys. Looking at each team rider for rider then it's close. Look at Swindons form vs Lynns and Swindon being the home team and it's 60-30. -
Jack Holder And The (lack Of A) 9 Month Ban

Riders can miss NL meetings for any reason. It's a development league. Wether you think that's right or not is open to debate, but the rules allow it. -
You have to decide which Dane is going to have a good 2018. As I see it the options are Iversen Pedersen Madsen MJJ I think we all agree that Madsen just can't cut it in the GPs/individually. So he's out. Pedersen has the class but does he have the fitness any more? It's a few seasons of constant injury now. TBH he should be looking at retirement. For me it'll be a sad day when he's not upsetting people in the GPs but he's just not done it for years now. MJJ, I'm a fan of. Think he's a great little rider with a nice, slightly different style. But he found his level about 4 or 5 years ago now and hasn't kicked on. Puk, he's not having a great year and last year wasn't a huge amount better. But I think of all the Danes he's the one I think is most likely to step it up and have a good 2018. Kildemand. After a really bright start to his GP life, where he seemed to make finals for fun he just hasn't been the same since he actually got a full season. Could do it, but has a habit of doing stupid things. Could be great yet could be abysmal. For me, Puk, Nicki, Kildemand, MJJ, Madsen in that order.
