  1. My take on it. SCB to fine the riders involved. And to then give them bans of a few months but suspended for a year. Warn them that so much as showing a sign of aggression once off the track will see them banned. But don't ban them for this first incident, let them learn from it. Both seemed to have got over it last night, shook hands after heat 9. It may have been faked to look good for next weeks hearing but let them continue to fake it and the World will be a happier place. Banning them won't make them suddenly like each other if they've got issues will it?
  2. Agreed. I loved watching Nicki being picked off As for Greg, the love in is a bit sickly but credit to him, he rode well. When he missed the start in the one heat he rode a sensible, conservative heat and ended up in 2nd (passing Nicki P in fact). Yet when Woffy found himself at the back he seemed to go into panic mode and throw the bike here, there and everywhere. Had he rode sensible, conservative inner half of the track I believe he'd have scored a couple more. I think he could have passed Greg if he'd been a little less hasty too. For once, Gregs "boring" was actually far more effective and better to watch than guns blazing of Tai and KK who either failed to go forwards or in some cases, go backwards. Its them things that make a World Champion.
  3. Its open to anyone who fancies it. So suits Leicester who get to try NL without fully going in for it and suits stand alones who want as many meetings as possible.
  4. Billy Janniro, 5 point man. Yet any play-offs or cup meeting he'd use Scott Nicholls bikes and suddenly become a point scoring machine. That said, I would imagine most of the bikes in the its for a GP are of a similar level and it is more down to set-up.
  5. It's been the same in both leagues for years. Both leagues as bad as each other.
  6. I would imagine that Cook will be doing his very best to ride in Poland next season so won't be at Edinburgh anyway. But regardless, Wolbert has a lower average than all of Edinburghs top 5 so would see them save whoever they replace with Kev. Surely Richard Hall on 4.28 has to be a certainty?
  7. This is a difficult one. And I don't know the answer. Cradley built a relatively young team to the limit. They have done nothing wrong. But Cradley constantly having super teams is not good for the league as a whole. But then equally nor is the Scunny team. I'd say Cradleys team is more to the ethos of the NL than the "young[sic] Stars" are at Lynn! I don't know the answer, I don't blame Cradley for this either. Mind you, it does strike me as odd that they clearly have the ambition to be winners but not the ambition to be in a higher league. Surely trying to win the PL would be better than winning the NL? Because winning the NL doesn't really impress anyone. It's nice and lovely but at the end of the day, it's a kiddies league. Surely Cradley, in 30 years times when they're back in the EL are not going to look back at the good old days and comment on the "glory days" of winning everything at NL level? They'll get a minor mention as what set them back on track again.
  8. TBF I wondered if Holder was helping his mate too.
  9. So they shouldn't mention the points or anything about the host city? Can they mention the result if the heat? Or is that bad too?
  10. Just said the same to my dad. Surely any other country and the two riders would have chatted and he'd have helped him out. That said, why was Woffy changing bikes?!
  11. Can so some let me know. Is Greg world champion yet?
  12. Speedway riders having a few words? Happens all the time and 99% of the time it's not a problem. What is the issue here is all the people in the pits getting involved, not the two lads on track.
  13. I said a few weeks back that each rider should drop there worst score and was told not is manufacturing things. But by doing that we'd see Puk in with a great chance of finishing 8th - and it would not effect the top 3 as Greg, Woffy and KK all have a 0 next to their name (KK has two amazingly!) It means riders don't get lucky with making the top 8. As it stands, one of Lindgren or AJ could make the top 8 just because better riders have got injured.
  14. Sounds like the season ticket holders who were made to pay a fiver really got there moneys worth. May have lost 5 heats but saw a mass brawl.
  15. King, Barker, Roynon and Covatti comes to about 28. Throw in a 3 pointer and you have 31. That still leaves about 11 for 2 riders. I fail to see why that 4 cannot be fitted into a team together.
  16. Maybe they misspelt Argentinian? Agreed. Do they have wildcards in the other rounds?
  17. No. It's just the Poole fans on there like to post, "no doubt it's Poole fault" which leads to someone pointing out that why Poole fans are hated as they always play the victim and the viscous circle continues as they then use that as proof Poole are hated. You'd think though, after a while of being "hated" everywhere the Poole fans might just question why that is. If every where I went I was hated I'd have to start looking at myself - everyone else cannot be wrong can they? Its like the joke, Man put the news on to see that a car is driving the wrong way down the motorway. Worried for his wife who he knows will be using the motorway he calls her and tells her, "Be careful, theres a nutter driving the wrong way down the motorway". "One nutter?" she replies. "Everyone is driving the wrong way apart from me!"
  18. Excellent news. Might not be his biggest fan but I hate for any rider to have a World Title shot ruined by injury. To put a positive spin on it, Greg, Tai and KK have all missed a round to injury now so unless Nicki P or Matej burst past them all this years World Champion will not have claims of, "only won it due to injury to the other top guy(s)". Hopefully Greg scores lots of points - but Tai scores half a dozen or so more
  19. It got more morons than the BSF (and I'm a member of both ). Some of the claims and stories posted on there are wonderful works of fiction. But some of the older photos that get posted and the subsequent stories are great. I just can't help myself when an idiot posts though
  20. The point being made is that Poole would have won the league at a meeting they were not at. What a damp squib. At least with the play-offs you're at the meeting where your team win the title.
  21. A suspension is temporary. A ban is permanent. Darcy is currently "suspended indefinitely" and once he's had his hearing he'll be "suspended for x month" - there no difference in terms or terminology used - just timings. So it doesn't effect his clubs either way. The delay is just a chance for the FIM, WADA and Darcys legal time a fair chance to gather evidence and look up the legalities. Do it too quickly and you run the risk of "due care" not being given to the situation and the hearing being unfair.
  22. Yes. Rumoured to be Oct 24th at the Etihad Stadium in Melbourne. See you there
