  1. These days Norway have Rune Holta - sort of. And Gunnestad jnr who I only know because of his dad. Mind you, it tends to go in cycles. The Aussies rules the sport, disappeared for many years (despite having quite a few ok riders) before resurfacing again. The Americans - very similar but they have disappeared again. Nz have gone too.
  2. If Zagar finished top 3 then 4th would get Zagars place. Happened with Iversen and Smolinski this season.
  3. Still dominated by Swedes? Yeah because since Rickardsson retired they've taken over haven't they? And just who have they got going forward? Lets not get too excited about the Swedes just yet. The Poles and Danes just seem to be knocking them out one after the other at the moment though.
  4. From Kenneth Hansens twitter https://twitter.com/KennethKHansen/status/511845931034365952
  5. But surely it's easier to win in the first place if they're not allowed to lie. No need for the time and expense of appeals.
  6. Yes, Laurence is the Coventry Storm manager.
  7. Just read the report and some of the complaints of locals. How are people allowed to lie? Surely planning officers have a duty to make sure no such false claims are made and can't just copy them into a planning application?
  8. But we were told an 8.30 curfew was fine. So why change it?
  9. Just seen the averages. Looks like I owe Len an apology.
  10. What was the difference between AJ passing Batch in the re-run and Nicki passing him and being excluded? IMO it's that Troy didnt try and lean on AJ - so ti was Troys fault.
  11. Why does Len keep using NL riders in his 1-5. It's taking the piss out of both sets of fans and the away promoter. Mind you, Peterboroughs guests are no better today!
  12. Could Edinburgh pick Somerset? Get them out the way and have an almost guaranteed play off final win.
  13. Why is Wells at 2? He should be at 4 or 5. Seems really odd to me.
  14. So the guy who walked out in Oxford in 2005 and left them without a number 1 for the play-offs - on the day of the play-offs. You call that professional? You call that a great ambassador for the sport? You call that having time for the fans? What about the guy who quit Reading mid-season in 2007?
  15. Greg vs Nicki again. The difference is the day Greg retires and someone says, "pick your favourite Greg Hancock memory" everyone is going to scratch their head for 10 minutes as there isn't one. Being passed by Bomber at Cardiff? Being fenced by Nicki in Prague on the straight? Drinking his body weight in Monster at every GP? When Nicki retires there goign to be too many moment for us to pick one, we'll need to list a few of them. Nicki creates memories, evokes emotion etc while Greg, well, he's a nice guy who can ride a motorcycle well.
  16. Once the green light is on the race has started. Plenty of action in that 2nd semi and the final Quite a few good heats tonight and the title is quite delicately poised with Greg (if fit to return), Woffy, KK and Nicki all in a position to win it. Already excited for the next GP
  17. Jeremy Baurrad, thats the guy. Couldn't even slide the bike around the bends, hilarious
  18. it raises an interesting point. At what time is a rider moving an unsatisfactory start?
  19. I remember MJJ passing Nicki too. And it was up the inside
  20. Regarding qualifier and wildcards, for me there is only TWO riders I think should be there. Emil Sayfutdinov and Darcy Ward. Those pair along with Woffy, KK and Greg are the top guys. I'd probably throw in Puk too. But then saying that, 2 years ago you'd have been laughed at having Woffy in that list and 12 months ago having KK in the list so who the hell knows.
  21. He bangs on about something or other every GP. At least form no on he won't be able to bang on about Greg being an ever present. No Darcy or Greg, you may just hear Nigel sobbing
  22. By tomorrow 6 or the top 8 in this season GP series will have missed a round due to injury. Time to bring in a rule that says each rider has to drop their lowest GP score each season to allow each rider the chance to miss a GP if injured without ruining their title chance.
  23. I've neevr understood why guests had to be in a declared 1-7. To me, it makes far more sense for guests to be from a pool. I'd like to see something like that, initially it would be a "guest pool" but eventually that pool could be more readily available injury replacements - even if it was only for a minimum 7 days, so might only be for one meeting but might be 3 or 4 in a busy week.
  24. Nicki and Woffy have won title as Wildcards too - proof that they are not a bad idea. In fact Emil didn't qualify for his firsts season and was given a wilcard. Emil also had wildcards in 2009 and 2011 so it's not like he's not accepted them in the past.
