  1. So the points reserve used to score just disappear? There 95 points in a meeting on average (about 5 bonus points scored on average). That will still be the case.
  2. So Lakeside get allocated a Lakeside asset, thats fine. They then tell him, "Adam, the BSPA have said you're riding for us.". "Great", says Adam, "How much will I get paid?" "Oh, say Jon Cook, has nobody told you? You don't." What if the NL rider tells the EL club to get stuffed? What is a NL rider? A 2012 NL rider or a 2013 NL rider? What happens when Robert Lambert turns 16? Can any club sign him? What happens when Robert Lambert scores 313 every meeting and averages 9? Does he have to sign as a heatleader in 2015?
  3. The good news is the Turbo Twins can be kept together though!
  4. So all EL teams have to have two NL riders but PL teams don't? Some PL teams are going to have stronger reserve pairing that the EL! Take out the riders not eligible for the NL any more and to get the 20 NL riders needed you're looking at rider on 6.00 NL averages in the EL. They're only just out of reserve in the NL! I'd stick a couple of 3 pointers in my 1-5 personally, as they're going to wlak all over the NL reserve riders. Would give me loads of points for my top 2. Poole are laughing! Ward, Holder, Grajczonek, Howarth. Can fit in a 5 point man with that lot. This is so bad it's actually funny.
  5. Now come on, you know that apart from the 42.5 limit, all of them season the league was weakened. Theres actually a near 15% reduction in all that time. And as the limit was 38.85 in 2008 its been a 20% reduction in 6 seasons. As you point out, we gained a couple of teams in 2011 to negate some of that so it works out at about a 17% reduction in 6 seasons.
  6. When its over on Sunday evening as has happened every year since the late 90s and the internet has been around.
  7. TBF, if you bring up 3 new clubs you need to find 21 rider totaling the best part of 130 if you don't drop the points limit. If you assume they bring up their current PL riders then you have 10 (El teams) times 42 + 3 (PL teams) times 25. Totaling 495. 495 shared equally between 13 teams is 38. So in effect you're not making anything any weaker, you're just6 sharing out equally what is already there. The alternative is you stick with a 42 point limit meaning the 3 team moving up are left with PL standard teams and take an ass kicking all year, go bust and we lose 3 clubs from British speedway.
  8. get all teams to do something similar and you could have a national speedway 1 lap dash champion.
  9. We all know that it's going to be the best, greatest and most successful AGM ever. Like it is every season.
  10. You're right, The Americans and Latvians have so many rider it;'s hard to choose who to leave out. I'm sure i read that Latvia has 8 licensed speedway riders. 8 riders yet 4 of them beat the best 4 British riders. As for the USA they have how many professional riders? Fisher, Wells and Hancock yet they beat GB best 4 riders. Yes the riders were poor but frankly, Middlo has never done anything to suggest he is any way decent as a manager of Team GB. And and FFS, drop the stupid Team bit. They're just Great Britain. Stop trying to be cool or modern or funky. We're Great Britain. Not GB or Team GB but Great Britain.
  11. rubbish, without Middlos inspirational ways we might end up finishing as low as 7th in the World. Oh, right, ekk, 8th then! How can Middlo do the job anyway, he didnt even have the right licensing. As for the suggestion of Havvy, bring back Middlo!!!!
  12. So what was all that back slapping about a few months back when the council give permission?
  13. Correct, white was changed top green for Sky Bet but it never took off, which was a shame really. As for the tactical ride, sky can have NO blame for that one. Len Silver and Ronnie Russell invented that one and it was trialed in the 2003 PLKOC before being used in all competitions except weirdly the PLKOC in 2004.
  14. Some of the choices at times are shocking. Showing a poor team from a small track away at a big track (and vice versa) is madness but we get it a few times a year.
  15. Lets be honest, this is solely about Polish speedway getting more power. Yet perversely a lot of Brits on here seem to want to give it to them as they have some sort of issue with BSI/the GPs. What do you think OneSpeed will do given the chance? Run 8-10 SEC meetings a season doing as the GPs do now. Do you honestly think this is about a shake up? Because frankly, what I saw in the 4 SEC meetings was the same old same old on some pretty boring tracks, shake up my arse!
  16. If this is true then fair bloody play to the guy! I wasn't expecting to see him until later on in the season after his injuries!
  17. League strength or team strength? If I started up a 10 team league tomorrow and had half the riders in the Worlds top 100 rider in it but then had a league with 20 teams but all top 100 riders then the riders in my two leagues would average about there same. The teams would be similar strength as each other. But the league that had ALL the top 100 riders would be a stronger league. If you have more teams in a league then riders will have higher averages.
  18. Coventry started 2007 with the same 1-7 that ended 2006 and won the league, KOC and Craven Shield. The same team had won the KOC in 2006
  19. Ive often wonder why not have a handicap system. So Poole build to 50 points while Eastbourne build to 38 so Eastbourne get a 12 (50-38) point advantage added to their score. The point limit could then be 38-50 and your handicap if whatever your team total comes to in March.
  20. If they weren't going to have Laguta (for whatever reason) then MJJ or Dudek should have been given a go.
  21. I am tempted but I know I'll decide at the last minute I can't be bothered. Might see what the score is after the first leg. 6-12 points in it and I'll be more tempted to go.
  22. Just to confirm what other have said - you have to pay £1 to park in a field full of sheep rubbish. There is no other option. But the food in the stadium makes up for it, good food at a decent price.
  23. In fact it was 0.04 of a point! Or 1 race point over a whole a season.
  24. Why does Sweden get 2 riders and GB 1? We beat them in the SWC and at GP level our riders are generally as inept as theirs. At least one of ours has qualified as first reserve.
