  1. This that sums it up for me too. And Sitera it nowt special Parsloes. He's a decent rider but not got the class to trouble the top 6 yet IMO. Not sure he ever will.
  2. Eating Pot Noodles? Thats worse than the suggestion of becoming English Gemini, it's 2-2 between England and Wales for trying to prosecute me If I was a Brummie I'd try and change. Don't think Cockney would be my first choice though.
  3. I'm sure if he took out a Bulgarian licence they'd give him a place in the qualifiers :s
  4. Opps. Sorry. You're right. It comes down to what people want. 15 nominated rider so you can guarnetee getting 15 of the top 20 or so riders (there will always be some issue with some of the selected riders) or the possibility of a no hoper qualifying. Personally, I think the current system works, give a few guys a chance without ruining the system and blocking out the guys who are obviously good enough.
  5. In how many other motorsports do people have to qualify for the World Championship? Off the top of my head, I don't know of any other motorsport where the competitor have to qualify. It's usually all down to money, so speedway is ahead of the game in that respect.
  6. Why not have an Australian GP in February? There's no pleasing some. This forum bemoans that top 8 qualify, blah blah, let the top 3, the World Champion, only the top 2 qualify and when it's suggested that may happen, people STILL moan. And so what if 2nd doesn't qualify and 11th does, wasn't that how it worked pre-GP days? Can you really see the World number 2 not getting a Wildcard though?
  7. To be fair, Simons up turn in form for the month prior to his injury saw him locking up very rarely. Maybe someone has got all the Brits in a room and told them, they'll shot the next one of them to lock up. It's a British disease to lock up. That said, if you're going to do it, do it the Jagus way, we need him back in the GP's because he's so bloody great. Jagus finds lines nobody else can I didnt realise until last night how much I miss him. A few things worth commenting on in this post. Firstly, that Monster stuff is so sweet and sickly (so actually suits Greg to a tee) that it need to be watered down Scott, ARGH!!! I missed his first ride, second ride was top draw, did what he had to and did it well. 3rd ride I felt for him a bit, you're not going to do much against that pair if you don't outgate them but Scott did the sensible for half a lap then tried and all or nothing but still got something back from it. He did jack in his 4th and 5th rides WTF?! So bloody annoying. That 1st/2nd bend in the semi though, SUPERB. I said to Silver Bee he has to go for second, Gollob will win it, leave him and ride his own race and thats how things turned out with Scott letting Gollob go (he was not really ever going to stop him any way), then in the final he made a start a CL junior would be embarrassed by, claiming gate 3 is crap by then is rubbish to as in both semis gate 3 was just fine, a little more luck on the 2nd bend and he may have been the one challenging Greg. Regarding Greg dominating and then failing, we mentioned that last night too. I wonder what Greg prefers, all the points from a dominant meeting but messing up the final or winning a GP? I bet Nicki would take 2nd in a GP if he could win every other race. World Champion 2009 = Nicki Pedersen. Can he even throw this away? I just cant see it.
  8. Technically it could happen. Realistically, no. I don't think it's possible that any rider could have been World Champion with the current format without wining a race (many races in fact). The eyar Makr Loram was World Champion being 2nd in every race would have made you World Champion as a 2nd got you to the next round and would have ultimately meant finishing 2nd in every round, as Mark didn't win a single round he'd have never have beat the guy who always finished 2nd. The GP's now as not like they were in 2000 so the Loram argument is not one against the current GP format. People used to moan when Andy Smith was in the GP's every year and claimed "there must be a better system" but he qualified by right every year, now people moan that rider don't have to qualify. Do people not realise that the 2003 World Champion did not qualify for the GP series?
  9. Why? Prefer to watch Holder than some of the British options TBH.
  10. Anyone know if Carl Blomfeldt is still involved? He's win a few World Titles that guy. Tomasz Gollob use him one year and apparently went against every thing he said and it cost him the title (2001ish)
  11. I did ask for red but Silver Bee had forgot to pack his red dress.
  12. Was 1.21 in the post office 2 weeks ago. This year we got between 26 and 28 Czech Koruna to the pound, last year we got 36 and the year before that I got 39, shows how bad things are getting. However, it's not really happening as I was told on this forum a few months ago. Companies are just hiking up the price of food and other imports because they feel like it.
  13. Great weekend, great city, great food, great drink, great company. Poor GP. That said, we had a GP virgin (with 3 EL meetings) with us and he loved it. He supported the Brits, decided to support Lukas Dryml as most of our group don't like him and gave Freddie Lindgren and Greg Hancock some stick as we had a Freddie and Greg fan with us. He also got quite into the abusing of Nicki Pedersen along with all the Poles (his weekend just got better on learning that Lukas Dryml now has a British club). Just proves, even a crap meeting can be enjoyed if you want to enjoy it.
  14. Offend one person a lot, or everyone a little bit. Hmmmm :/ I'm referring to Baker, i think I'm safe now
  15. Looking at who you're going with, I'm not surprised you're nervous!
  16. We'll be looking at the clock and asking "whats so bloody great about it?", while a load of tourist clap it.
  17. It's a great place! We'll see you in there at some point no doubt
  18. £1.50 for the most expensive meal! I thought it was cheap paying £4 for a meal the last few years in the centre.
