  1. Oh dear, forgot to change my captain. Freddie Lindgren, ekkkk!
  2. I see Lewis Bridger is riding in the Under 21 Semi-Final in Kumla on the 27th. What p poor planning by the FIM to have the GP qualifier and the Under 21 Qualifier on the same day. What if Lewis had won the GB final and was Cardiff Wildcard?
  3. Steads not riding now. He has a bad wrist. It rolls off the throttle on tight 1st bends
  4. Not actually true. Practice is not compulsary and has not been for about 5 or 6 years now. Maybe the Austraian authorities said he had to be there but it's certaily not comulsary. Maybe the SCB/ACU should have said one of our youngster had to be there?
  5. Good. Would make the competition a joke if you could use R/R in a 5 man squad.
  6. What a shambles. I guess R/R has been trying so hard for years in the NL he's due a chance in a big meeting. Pleased to see he finally got it.
  7. Wrong decision but if the referee is going to call a wrong decision, make sure Nicki is on he receiving end.
  8. I think betting on either Brit right now could be classed as a little bit silly. That said, I'll be sat in the pub tomorrow cheering both on. If we could have a Bomber - Scott 1-2 with Seb Ulamek in 3rd, I'd be happy
  9. I was about to say its a GP, all heats are hard, then I saw Leigh Adams' opening ride. Even I'm not stupid enough to put money on Bomber. Seb Ulamek is where it's at
  10. I love that theory, we're going to be "dicked" in the final/race-off so to save embarrassment lets not qualify and in stead be "dicked" at Peterborough. That almost as good as the "you're better off having a poor team and keeping the same 7 riders next season than having a good team and having to make changes the year after and then struggling". I wonder who said that?
  11. You do realise Cardiff is a speedway meeting? So the pre-meeting entertainment is an extra and not really what people go for?
  12. I'd disagree about Harris. He's not even looked "good at a certain level" for the last 2 season if "a certain level" is EL level. Sadly.
  13. "A classic final with 5 Nations involved" Well Done Tony Millard!
  14. As the Middlo brown nosers fans kept telling us, the manager can only work with the rider available to him. But what the Middlo brown nosers fans kept ignoring was that Middlo was tactically inept and almost every season made a mistake. Lets see what Rob Lyons does aye? If he make the same sort of mistakes, be sure I'll be on here pointing it out.
  15. It did, if you look around when you're inside you'll be reminded it was too
  16. Lee is consitently the top Brit in Sweden and Poland. He is often top 10 in their averages. Lees SWC record is excellent, its only the last couple of seaosn he's had dodgy World Cups and even then he's been our best rider! Lee last season in the GPs were pittiful but so was his league record that season, he had lots of problems that he got over the following season and returned to form. I've said for as long as I can remember that given a fair chance Lee would achieve a higher GP place than Scott ever has, I stand by that and I hope Lee qualifies for next season GP where I think he is capable of finishing top 5. Sadly, I don't see any other Brit doing that for a few more seasons.
  17. I believe his passport says "Emil Sayfutdinov", its what was poste don another thread recently.
  18. Id say its a bigger issue that Brits seem to be oblivious to who the best British rider is on the World stage.
  19. Looking at the crowd n the back straight, it seems I was not the only 1 who decided after 3 years of crap that I was not going to bother going to Prague this year. They need to sort it out and soon they'll be left with half a dozen people there
  20. Do agree with you there and I too am a little annoyed that the riders can't qualify and have to be seeded into the first round.
  21. A 19 year old kid won a GP last night, if you have the talent, it seems it can be done. I trust you're happy now?
  22. It's what he does against the top men that matters, surely? Plus, he is a lot younger than Joe Screen so fit in a lot better with the giving youth a chance mantra Rob Lyons keeps banging out. Hence me saying "Morris has an inflated average" and discounting him i might like Phil but even on his best day I'd not have him in the SWC squad.
