Bee was cheaper in the stadium last year than outside it It was the 2nd cheapest place we found it all weekend But then maybe they charge you sitting people more as they know you clearly have more cash to splash **** off am I going to McDonalds. I'm, refusing to eat a single meal there, snacks I'll do, full meals no bloody way!

They were last year and we're hopeful they are this year as thats our plan too. Anyone up for a Brit gathering on the back straight? (for those of us slumming it and standing) If so, I suggest somewhere near the entrance to the 3rd bend, as there's a bar just behind there We'll start the ball rolling with 5 of us.

Gary Havelock 1992 and Mark Loram 2000 were 16 and 8 years ago I can't add anything that other have not already posted. -
There's a GP taking place? I might go that then while I'm over there.

Swc Tapes Rules
SCB replied to suzuki star 882's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
In SWC and GP (any FIM meeting) you're only excluded if the bike touches the tapes. -
Damn I thought he might add some entertainment to what I see as being a poor meeting, well it's at Voyens, they don't eve have to apck the dirt down as they did at Coventry and Leszno, there is none to start with.

World Cup Format - Not Team Racing?
SCB replied to Ashie's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I assumed the odd Russian tactic was because Sajfutidov was having machine problems and rather than have an exclusion it was decided to put in another rider. -
If he was leading 4, plus himself, there were 5 in the race.
-
Surely I'm not the only one who heard "He's leading the talent quadruplet, well, trio plus 1"? I thought the SWC was 4 rider per race these days? Millard seemed to think it was 5. Other than that, I'm starting to think he's better than Pearson, maybe the short break has done him the World of good?

World Cup Format - Not Team Racing?
SCB replied to Ashie's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
If you really believe that, I pity you. Because league racing is 2 vs 2, not 4 vs 4 Tomasz Gollob, legend -
Swc Round 2 Coventry 14th July
SCB replied to skid row's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Lis, I know how you feel, almost. A few days before Cardiff I went to pay for petrol with my card and it was refused, luckily I have another card i can use for another account. When I went to the bank the next day it turned out someone in Australia had tried to withdraw £600 form my account but rather than letting me know, the bank just stopped the card. They managed to send me a letter the day after I had been to the bank to let me know I had been in. Seems banks are equally as useless all over the World. -
No idea if the format has changed in the last few years, if not, there's a race card here. I'll check it later and if it need changing, I'll sort it. Also, not sure how efficient the scoring adding up part is TBH, I'll check that later too.

Will They All Be Fit?
SCB replied to Vincent Vega's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Not heard great things. Also, not reading great things either. If I were a betting man I'd put money on 1 of the first 5 not being fit. -
When You're ready to start planning 2009, post on here and there will be loads of us willing to help you out with tip on other meetings to attend, places to stay etc. We're a friendly, helpful bunch most of the time. Sorry to hear your other meeting was rained off but pleased you enjoyed your first Cardiff trip. It gets better every year, trust me

Probably had the surname Hitler! Im guessing ti was a jobsworth who didnt realsie speedway fans are allowed to take airhorns in. Did they stop anyone taking in there inflammable clothes? After all, it only take one idiot to set them alight

** Cardiff Gp Music / Presentation **
SCB replied to SpeedwayTShirts's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I think you've got that wrong. That noise signals the red light coming on. Great idea IMO. I notice a few tracks now use the same idea. Far easier to hear that noise than look for a few generally dodgy red lights, especially if the sun is shining on them. -
I know it seems like 3 years but its only 3 months Steady has been in the Bees team.

I thought anyone who wanted to go camping GP weekend went to Lavernoch Point?

I normally stay until the very end and am being ousted out of the stadium by security and still get the train home. -

Swc Round 2 Coventry 14th July
SCB replied to skid row's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Not like you Subedei, surely you know riding order (team even) doesn't have to be declared until after practice. TBH, he can make no worse decision than include Stead any way. Look to me like they're just listed in ability/British average order. -
I've stayed in the Travel Inn in the past, the road up to the stadium is the longest road int he World when it's a warm, sunny day. It took me about 30 minutes, and thats was with a brisk walk, so probably best to allow 40 minutes (or maybe a bit more and then you can have a drink in the stadium ) The Brandon Hall Hotel is probably a tiny bit closer and I'm guessing a million times nicer (the Travel Inn is clean, tidy and very basic, no complaints, you get what you pay for though)
