Reading some of the defensive replies, you'd swear he had killed someone, not he may have been gay!

Fredrik Lindgren In Aussie Title
SCB replied to DutchGrasstrack's topic in International World of Speedway
It's disgusting that 3 foreigners are being paid to ride over there when the money would be better spent on getting Crump, Adams and Schlein to ride! I don't blame them 3 for not riding the way the series is being run, especially after last seasons farce of changing the order the rounds were run costing the riders (and fans) a substantial amount of money. -
So did Ryan make his 50k then? If he did, fair play to him, 50k for 15 minutes work is quite impressive!

We have a thread wanting people to discuss something but they're failing to give any information themselves! Is anyone going to name the rider?

The thread was "if you could choose", not "who will IMG choose", so everybody got full mark

Yet most universities charge £10 a night. Seems Cardiff University is making the most of the speedway!!

At his age he'll love the strip clubs in Prague Sorry Prague is cheap and easily accessible. Book early and flights can be bought for about £50-60 each. From the airport, get in an authorised taxi and it costs about £15. OR Get a 5 day transport pass (bus, tram, metro/underground) for about £7 each and then you can jump on and off the trams and the metro all weekend and get to and from the airport/centre. Depends how confident you are with regards to the local transport network. I did it by bus/tram the first year on my own before friend arrived later than night but this year 4 of us jumped in a taxi. Hotels I'm not sure, I've stayed in an apartment both times I've been. Worked out at £15/person per night, for less people it'll probably cost a bit more. Tickets can be bought on-line, you print them off and simply hand the A4 printed page over on the day. Simple! Great city too, ideal for all ages. Has the strip clubs I mentioned, the night clubs or the more sedate sports bars where it's a bit quieter for you and a younger son (I'm sure he'd not be kicked out of half the club though TBH!!!) for the night. Loads of restaurants and plenty of touristy things to do in the day. I love Prague, I've been two years running and I'm going back again. BTW, get to Tescos, you can buy beer for 10p a bottle!!! the 17p stuff is better though, worth 7p but not really worth the 70% price increase, so depends how you want to look at it

While you pair are discussing the kicking of midgets, I'll be off kicking them

The Final Gp Wildcard Spot Goes To........
SCB replied to Brummie Boy's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Well I am shocked. Oh, no I'm not Good calls if true. -
I thought it would be as they were building a wall to protect it. Will be a pretty big wall though, surely?
-
I guess it comes down to interpretation. I maintain the grand prix is the World Title. Not a GP round. Normally about now, but the series lated longer this year.
-
I bet if Lewis Hamilton is in second on Sunday at the half way point in the race he'll do nothing silly but just sit and wait for Alonso to make a mistake as second is good enogh, first is better. Sometimes, to win the bigger prize you have to be a little more conservative. As proof he can do it, look at the Cardiff final, he was typical Chris Harris but at the same time didn't feel the need to go out to the fence, just a little wider and when Greg messed up, Bomber was there to take advantage. That was a superb ride on so many levels. Same thing really. He could win a World title if they take it back to a one of final as some tracks you can pull of what he tries to but oevr a series he'll come unstuck riding as he does. GP=Grand Prix= Grand Prize, I'd say the grand prize is a World title, not a single round
-
It's Harris second failure IMO, the first being he cannot gate (but that's a good failure to have from my POV ), he goes for points/positions he dones't ned and try desperate things and messes up. How many points has he thrown away in this years GPs? He need to learn sometimes, a sensible second, pushing the guy in front so he makes a mistake is better than throwing the bike into the bend and if he pulls it off he has been incredibly spectacular but all to often it goes wrong and he ends up even further behind, on his backside or being passed!! I love watching Bomber ride, he's my current favourite rider but he thinks he can ride in the GP's like he does in the EL against second strings and the lesser heat leaders, it's spectacular, it's why I like him but it won't win him a GP title. If I was Nicholls, I'd have done the same.
-
Do I win? I'm sat in the office looking out the window at the corner of the stadium now It's very big Intrestingly, I heard a rumour there was more dirt in there this weekend than at Gelsenkirchen!
-
I thought there was going to be a super GP series within the GP series? The winner of the temporary GP's will win the $200,000. So it's a 4 round series.

They didn't show them.

Final Gp, From Germany
SCB replied to Steve Turner's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Did you miss this years Czech GP? -
Hans Andersens roll of honour in 2007 includes?! A second place in a GP? Scott Nicholls has a 2nd place in a GP too, plus his team has won an EL title and is in the final of two more competitions. Now which one is a winner? As by my reckoning, Hans has won nothing this season. 5th or 8th in the GP series? Who really cares, neither have won it! Not even made the podium, in that respect they're both losers as I can't see Hans being happy with being 5th in the World and bragging about it.
-
I can agree with that. I think it should be the best 15 rider in the World plus a wildcard for best local/an inform rider. That said, I don't think qualifiers is the way either, Lukas Dryml, Niels Kristian Iversen and Bajrne Pedersen are hardly top 15 riders IMO.
-
Scott HAS qualified, he has finished 8th. No politics needed.
