  1. Christer Lofqvist died 1978 from a brain tumour aged 33, always remembered by West Ham fans
  2. Hotel hasn't cottoned on yet then and hiked their prices so better book rooms quickly, refundable of course as we all know what the weather can be like in Manchester
  3. Wouldn't surprise me if no-one at the FIM has looked at other events happening on Manchesterand they all clash, we'll know this afternoon
  4. I could be totally wrong but I'll guess at either Saturday 12th or Saturday 19th July in Manchester as the nearest hotel to the stadium is showing no prices for those dates although they are showing other dates prices for most of next year
  5. The question now is if he comes through their meeting unscathed will Torun let him ride for Ipswich next week, if not I presume that will be a 28 day ban. I'm keeping fingers crossed that Emil gets a say in the decision and we see him in the UK fir the playoffs.
  6. They need to update their TV guide which they keep making mistakes on let's hope the broadcast crew know where to go
  7. Because Discovery's TV guide is useless, I've sent them numerous complaints but they still can't get it right. As an example 2nd September Sheffield are at home to Ipswich in the 1st leg of KO cup, this is listed on BSPA, Sheffield and Ipswich fixture lists but Discovery are showing it on their guide as being broadcast from Ipswich wonder where the outside broadcast team will end up?
  8. Shame someone didn't tell the people who update the Discovery TV guide then, they are useless
  9. And 2nd September, Sheffield, Ipswich and BSPA websites all saying Sheffield v Ipswich in 1st leg of KO cup, Discovery saying Ipswich v Sheffield being shown, that had better not get changed as I've already made my arrangements to be at Ipswich for the 2nd leg on the 5th
  10. And this has pi££ed me off, we considered going to Perry Barr but had a busy weekend so decided to watch on TV instead, if we'd know about the change earlier we'd have gone to PB, Discovery are doing speedway no favours Phil Morris needs to try having a word with them.
  11. As for Discovery, totally useless I had an online chat with them on Sunday and again Monday telling them they were advertising the wrong meeting and today I thought I'd look at the highlights, what highlights you ask, anyway I wanted to listen to the interview with JD and guess what it was still advertised as Leicester v Oxford if Phil Morris is trying his best to promote the sport he needs to have an urgent meeting with Discovery and sort them out first.
  12. I've just had an online chat with them, they haven't a clue, after explaining their website is incorrect they apologised and sent me 2 links to tomorrow's meeting, both showing Leicester, ha ha, chat ended with me saying I hope their outside broadcast team know where to go. Then I get a satisfaction survey - they got one star for everything.
  13. So does anyone know what is being shown? Leicester website says its not from there, Discovery+ says it is, omg lets hope someone tells the camera crew where to go - what a shambles
  14. Discovery+ made such a big thing to start with re Speedway but as you say it's not on their Guide which is ridiculous you have yo know about Speedway then go to "All Sports" then scroll down to "Speedway" to find it. Surely the way to bring in new viewers to Speedway is for the guide to list it then people might think "I've not heard of that I'll have a look when it's live"
  15. He can test out after any meeting like Danny King did before he decided he was fit to ride in a full meeting. If Kurtz "tests out" at a Polish meeting then decides he's not fit to ride in the UK he should be banned but we all know whose pulling his strings and paying him the most don't we, the Country that's taking the micky out of UK speedway.
  16. It also looked to me like the bottom tape had come undone and I think they were attracting the track staff to do something about it before the riders came round after the first lap. The camera clearly showed a member of the track staff holding up the end of the tape for the rest of the race, I wonder how he reached it without going onto the track, perhaps he has long arms.
  17. Discovery coverage is awful BSN wins hands down for coverage, content etc
  18. To throw another cat in ...... maybe it was the Airlines fault in not making sure they always have a spare plane available to cover unexpected technical faults!! (ha ha)
  19. Exactly, he could hardly get his toolbox out and help them fix the planes mechanical fault. Commonsense prevailed.
  20. I do wish people would word things correctly, Doyle did not miss his flight, he was sitting on the plane waiting for it to take off when all the passengers had to disembark due to a technical fault.
  21. Love BSN streaming its better coverage than Eurosport do and with good commentary. I couldn't pay for the season pass so I just buy a one match pass for the meetings I want, especially Ipswich away meetings that i can't travel to, and with 2 of us in the household it's definitely good value. I didn't realise they had been doing a monthly pass or I might have considered that for some months.
  22. Please tell me he's only watching tonight and not riding as things can't get much worse for Ippo tonight surely
