  1. Just read this on Max Perry's facebook page. " Just to update. Max is in a bad way. He is talking. Broken wrist, broken fingers, suspected broken ribs, knee, ankle, leg. Off to John Radcliffe he is On Morphine and IV pain relief. " Hope he can get well soon.
  2. Robert Lambert or Artem Laguta ? they like riding for clubs for the last couple of meetings to boost their trophy cabinets.
  3. Maybe the best new speedway track in the UK with a roof (ha ha) but you never know !
  4. https://www.thurrockhammers.com/2023-news/arena-essex-site-sold/ Hope the above link works
  5. Let's hope so, perhaps high on his agenda should be how the riders talk on TV and the centre green microphone etc. Also perhaps if a rider has a grievance with the Ref the Team Manager should sort it out not "riders having a word with the Ref"
  6. I don't think bringing in a guest is the main issue, it's being able to bring in riders that don't ride in the UK all season then when they've finished riding abroad they come back over here for a few meetings to boost their bank balance and their medal cupboard. Robert Lambert now has winners medals 2 years running from different clubs and years down the line when looking at statistics it will make him look good even though he only played a very small part in those clubs. The rules need sorting so that Lambert and others can't do the same again next year.
  7. Quite agree with you, perhaps it was a case of not how you ride but who you know
  8. "Pure quality", sorry If you think that's how away team fans should be spoken too, I'd call it "pure ignorance" especially as many the Ipswich fans probably go and support Tai at Cardiff. Well done Kyle Howarth (and sort of Sheffield) on last night's medal (last man standing he needs to be named). Just a shame Lewis Kerr wasn't riding as well.
  9. Perhaps Lambert started the (unsubstantiated as yet) rumour because he was upset !!
  10. So if Bellevue reach the finals they get home track advantage or are you saying Bellevue will never again reach the playoffs. Might seem like a good idea to you but it's definitely not, all home supporters deserve the chance to see their team if they are in the playoffs and not everyone will be able or have the funds to make a trip up North.
  11. And after he got beat by our riders getting 5 - 1 in heat 15 he actually rode round with them on the after race lap - was he expecting Ipswich fans on the back straight to give him a clap - what an idiot
  12. Dont worry there'll be more than that, there's 2 of us going but we're not bringing a dog
  13. On Sheffield website meeting preview it's saying Lawson is guesting
  14. There is a big difference between replacing riders during the season because they are out with long term injury and replacing riders ad hoc because they are not getting the points you'd like. Baring swapping the Thompson twins and a short term injury replacement for Riss Ipswich are finishing with 6 of their original riders from the first meeting of the season. Thats the team set up I prefer to support, win or lose.
  15. Aren't Sheffield desperate to win it as well, after all we did beat you in the KO Cup and I'm sure you'd like to get your own back.
  16. But the question that someone needs to ask East Herts Council is "are you now going to take action against the owners/leaseholders of Rye House who have quite clearly put buildings on the site that do not conform to the plans passed by the Council?" In other words make them remove them or adjust them to comply with the plans they passed.
  17. Discovery Sport app schedule is now saying Premiership play off 1st leg 3rd October (Tuesday)
  18. Or he might be available if Glasgow gets rained off !! (I hope not)
  19. Just logged out and logged in again and now have commentary
  20. I'm watching on Eurosport but got no commentary
  21. And on your point 2 what a bl..dy stupid rule that is. Chris Harris is just earning a living but he had a good meeting for Ippo against Belle Vue, will he have a good meeting or a bad meeting for Sheffield against Ippo, it leaves so much to interpret in our sport no wonder its losing credibility by the bucketful.
