  1. Oh really, well I'm a true Speedway fan and I don't despise Cardiff so make your comments of your opinion of Cardiff but don't presume you are also speaking for other true (or casual) Speedway fans because you are not.
  2. Think they might have under estimated for crowd level, we all got shunted round to back straight from main gate and now they seem to be opening up some seating on bends 2 and 3
  3. I'd be thinking "bloody he'll he was quick out of the gate he'll be World Champ before long"
  4. There might have been no overtaking but Bewley was quicker from the gate than the rest and earned his great win. As for the City I reckon the people who live and work there are glad you never went back as well with an attitude like that.
  5. So did we. OK there was no overtaking but we saw a Brit win the British GP, everyone round us was enjoying themselves and now back at the hotel and people celebrating in the bar, chatting to anyone and everyone from speedway tracks up and down the country. For goodness sake can't anyone on here have a good word to say about Dan and stop going on about all the negatives of todays meeting.
  6. I got that as well at first, try again in a while or try turning your phone off and then restart it that worked for me
  7. Yes I think your right probably trying to save on staffing costs etc but they might have a bit of a problem if many people don't say whether or not they intend to go and then just turn up.
  8. I just got that message, same as you clicked yes but no acknowledgement etc. GP tickets say we get entry to Sunday but with unreserved seats (stupid idea should have same seats) perhaps Seetickets are deciding whether it would be a good idea for us all to need another app to gain entry on Sunday (ha ha)
  9. Totally sympathise. After trying to help you thought I'd just check mine, got the nice pretty colour thing in middle of screen, turned phone off and on, lovely that worked then needed a password which I don't ever remember entering. Anyway went through everything I could think off then emailed seetickets, as yet no reply from them but I had another think and struck lucky with a password. If I go next year I'm buying tickets on the gate this year was too much stress. Let's hope Cardiff doesn't get rained off, (joke I hope)
  10. Chris Harris on twitter thanked people for all their messages, said he wasn't going to comment further but added it will make a good book one day - I'll look forward to that.
  11. I think whatever the ultimate decision it wouldn't have suited all riders or fans, such an awful way to have to end a meeting which was shaping up quite nicely between the experienced Harris and definitely up and coming Brennan both on 8 points, along with Bewley already at Cardiff and a few other riders who were on at least 7 points probably weren't too happy either. I understand why Ellis was ultimately given the Wildcard as he unfortunately missed out last year but personally I think in the circumstances a run off between Harris and Brennan before the first race at Cardiff would have given us fans a bit more to watch and cheer on our favourite.
  12. Ellis was interviewed on Eurosport and being given the Wildcard and I'm pretty sure he said that was mentioned but the riders didn't agree with that idea
  13. Race off prior to beginning of Cardiff meeting we can then all cheer on our favourite
  14. Just another thought, although we bought tickets online we were originally told we'd get them in Principality app which we duly installed only to be advised 6 months later that we'd now need the Seetickets app. Wondered have you got the Seetickets app or are you trying to use Principality app. Hope I might have been some help if not there might be someone else on here more use than me.
  15. We got ours from Seetickets online with our email address but although we did that and they had our email we also had to also register a separate account with the same email with Seetickets, the tickets then showed in the Seetickets account then we had to download them to the app (sorry if that's not clear I find it difficult to explain) we all seem to be having problems with this stupid app. Try registering a Seetickets account to see if your tickets are there, if not phone stadium on Monday. We're taking printed copy of our confirmation email with us just incase of further problems.
  16. Sorry, can't help with your question but out of interest what phone number did you ring and was it the stadium or Seetickets.
  17. He refused to take a test when riding for Kent Kings and was banned for 2 years.
  18. As Martin Vaculik has broken his shoulder blade if he's not fit for Cardiff anyone know who will replace him.
  19. Article in Wales on line re GP if anyone wants to read if I've done link correctly (no mention of ticket fiasco though) https://www.walesonline.co.uk/special-features/world-championship-speedway-returns-full-24478321
  20. Let's hope your correct and there is still pay on the day available, I think they should still give us the choice to print out tickets from an email then scan it at the turnstile as in the past it would save all these problems, especially for fans who do not possess a mobile/ipad and bought tickets back in January without realising they needed an app, there are some as I have spoken to someone in this position. I have emailed the stadium and asked this along with other questions but have yet to receive a reply. All this technology is getting ridiculous let's hope next year we won't need those ridiculous headset/glasses things so we buy our tickets and just sit in our houses wearing them and watch the GP as if we were in the stadium, mind you would save on petrol and hotel bills!
  21. Here's an idea, why don't we all ask him today? Anyone have his email?
  22. The booking this year is ridiculous and don't forget you need the Seetickets app to download tickets, read some of the above comments (we were originally told Principality app). Anyway I have 2 suggestions as See Tickets has no phone contact number, although you can email them but don't hold your breath waiting for a reply, try ringing the stadium on Monday and see if they can help, the number is 0844 249 1999. The second is a bit daft but it works out cheaper than 5 of the cheapest single tickets, you purchase 2 blocks of family tickets which I think came to £182 excluding app delivery fees etc and it was about £100 cheaper than 5 singles, you then have 8 seats so you can spread yourselves out (daft idea I know but so is this stupid ticket system) but honestly you really shouldn't have to purchase tickets you don't need just to sit together. The powers (or idiots) that be should realise families come in all shapes and sizes nowadays.
  23. Thanks for info I had read that previously but as we've now been advised we need the See Tickets app and not the Principality app I wonder will that still apply? Like others if its the same system next year this year will probably be my last at Cardiff.
  24. Definitely agree and if the Internet goes down I dread to think what will happen. I have a much better solution to entry they could try paper or email tickets, ha ha, perhaps not its not technical enough for this day and age.
