  1. Perhaps someone who knows how to contact or can contact Richie Hawkins ie Facebook etc, could advise him of this info if it is correct, as our team situation is getting more precarious by the day. Any news on how long Adam might be out? Did he need an op? There's very little info coming from the club.
  2. Got commentary back - for all of 10 words - now it's gone again, Discovery+ sort it out - spoke to soon its now back while I'm writing this !
  3. Was having same problem as everyone else, Tatum out of sinc, now I've got no commentary at all
  4. Best wishes to Doyley hope to see him riding for us next season. I hope Chris can come up with a replacement that doesn't end up with Lindgren type visa issues, on saying that, to me Doyley is irreplaceable as a team member in the pits. If Adam is out for a few more weeks perhaps we could persuade Scottie to sign on a 28 day injury replacement. As for Laguta I hope we steer clear, he might be a good rider but he didn't appear to be much of a team player at Peterborough or Kings Lynn.
  5. I'll never forget, West Ham Tuesdays 7.45, can't remember the meeting but pretty sure we needed the point, Martin Piddock fell off but needed to finish he got up and pushed his bike from the 3rd bend with Johnny Hoskins next to him giving him encouragement, but obviously not touching bike or Martyn which would have meant disqualification, he made it across the line and all us fans went wild, happy days, a young life taken tragically at Lokeren. RIP Martin.
  6. Should Woffinden get a pick next year - No - he finished 11th in 2023, apart from injuries he doesn't seem up to GP standard any more, perhaps he'll save face and announce he doesn't want to be in next year's GPs anyway. Should the Russians be allowed back in - Yes - they are participating in other sports ie Tennis, the GPs would be better for having Emil Sayfutdinov participating and Laguta should also have a place. How are GP riders picked, let the top 6 automatically qualify, look at 7 and 8 and see if extenuating circumstances apply ie injury that stopped them being in top 6. As for the rest have some form of Country qualifying rounds, perhaps 3 rounds in each Country and then allocate the places accordingly.
  7. How's the weather looking in Ipswich, I'm still 50/50 as to whether come up from London
  8. How's the weather looking, hope this meeting doesn't turn into another Bellevue type fiasco
  9. Unfortunately we are back there next Monday in KO cup I believe and Freddies first meeting, and if we're still depleted we might need the gods on our side.
  10. No official updates yet but he is listed as riding in the British Final at Belle Vue on 8th June
  11. Quite agree, hope its not the end for KL but they need someone to run it who wants to be there, feeling really sorry for the fans of KL at the moment and in the bigger picture the whole of speedway we don't want to lose another team.
  12. The SCB have spoken! Well that told Kings Lynn, 2 point deduction where does that put them in the league now - Bottom of course - no change there then (and its not even April fools day)
  13. Wednesday we had a statement re Lee Complin, yesterday we had a statement re Glasgow v Edinburgh but still no statement re Kings Lynn, I'm wondering if this is going to be brushed under the carpet
  14. One week now since the SCB announced they were setting up an enquiry and so far the silence is deafening
  15. So the SCB are disappointed and have set up an enquiry. Let's hope they reach some proper conclusions and Kings Lynn ie Buster Chapman are sanctioned properly. I've lost count of the times I've seen teams fielding 2, 3 and sometimes even 4 guests, that's not right either or fair on the promotions or fans but at least the meetings went ahead, this meeting should also have gone ahead. I'll await their conclusions with interest because if they come down on the side of Mr Chapman that surely opens the flood gates for any team in the future who are a rider or two short due to injury/having to ride in Poland/family matters and various other excuses to cancel their meeting and short notice.
  16. Wow, Rye House Group or whoever, certainly seem to think they could do whatever they wanted on Green Belt Land, storage of high end vehicles, trailers, dump truck etc not to mention all the illegal building work thats gone on, OMG thank goodness the group trying to bring back Speedway to the site are on the case. As for East Herts Council it beggars belief how they do or do not keep a strict watch on sites within their Green Belt Area especially in Lee Valley Regional Country and Nature Park. Let's hope the Council now keep on the case and and if the Leaseholders at Rye House don't comply the Council should send in their own bulldozers and sort it and bill RHG for it.
  17. Oh for goodness sake! We all know 2.15pm or whatever start time is stated speedway meetings never start at the quoted time, whether its for more track work, people still queuing (which does happen occasionally) or even riders i.e Chris Harris being stuck in traffic so meeting delayed for 15 mins, and numerous other reasons over the past years. As for the 15 minutes of actual racing I go for the whole couple of hours for an evening/afternoon out of the house to meet like minded speedway fans etc not just to watch 15 minutes racing. I agree its annoying and needs looking at when we pay for 15 heats and only get to see 10 with the meeting declared especially when the last 5 could change the final result, although I don't think that would have applied yesterday. Please stop knit picking and be grateful if you still have a team to watch (but for how much longer) as many speedway supporters no longer have that available to them.
  18. That's one of the most sensible comments I've read on here about today's meeting, I've been really amused reading some of the other remarks. For goodness sake surely people should have better things to do than quibble over 15 minutes etc. I wasn't there today unfortunately but I always arrive ahead of the advertised time, I won't say start time, then I may get a drink, read my programme, have a chat with people around me etc, I don't sit and clock watch I've gone for an evening or afternoon out rather than sitting at home looking at four walls.
  19. I sm watching on Eurosport and I would say the coverage leaves a lot to be desired BSN coverage of meetings is far better
  20. That would depend on the traffic I would suggest keep checking the traffic reports and adjust your journey accordingly, common sense really.
  21. Possibly, because he said "heavy traffic" delayed him getting to the airport, if you have a plane to get you should assume heavy traffic/accidents/etc and leave home earlier than needed, it might mean sitting around in an airport lounge but at least you wouldn't need to use lame excuses for missing a plane.
  22. He didn't miss his plane, he was sitting on it when passengers had to get off due to technical issues
  23. I daresay they are trying to work out what to do/say as unlike Tungate he didn't miss his flight he was actually on the plane. Personally I don't think Doyle/Ipswich should be penalised for something that was clearly not their fault.
  24. There is an SCB statement , Doyle was on the plane but all passengers has to disembark due to a technical issue, I don't think there was much Jason could do about that unless he had his toolbox with him
