  1. Thanks for info I had read that previously but as we've now been advised we need the See Tickets app and not the Principality app I wonder will that still apply? Like others if its the same system next year this year will probably be my last at Cardiff.
  2. Definitely agree and if the Internet goes down I dread to think what will happen. I have a much better solution to entry they could try paper or email tickets, ha ha, perhaps not its not technical enough for this day and age.
  3. After numerous tries managed to get tickets into See tickets wallet/app but took a number of goes to get the app to actually open, so there will be a big queue behind me if the same happens at Cardiff. I am going to contact the Stadium and ask them what arrangements they have in place to give fans access to the stadium should their internet/mobile provider have signal problems on the 13th August and they unable to access their tickets. If I get a reply I'll post the outcome. Although it says they won't accept screen shots for entry I took them anyway as a backup to the confirmation email of my ticket purchase that I shall be taking with me to Cardiff.
  4. Quite agree I had same problem and had to try numerous times before I succeeded, just have to try and get tickets into app now
  5. Thank you, on mobile I'm now getting message saying "can't load page please try later" so I'll wait a while and try again and if no joy I'll try like you on laptop. I reckon there will be an awful lot of problems and angry people at the gates at Cardiff if they all have problems.
  6. I've just had the email and downloaded the See ticket app, how did you find your tickets as all I can get is a message saying "no digital/mobile orders found"
  7. No it's not, Speedway could do with a bit more atmosphere. We had plenty at West Ham in the 60s, atmosphere that is although I don't remember much singing just lots of cheering and booing
  8. Are there any updates on Edward Kennett, the last thing I remember reading was something along the lines of "he would be seeing Doctors/hospital etc and Plymouth would should know more by the end of the week" and I remember reading that, i think on the Plymouth website, weeks and weeks ago.
  9. Please can anyone tell me if tickets are the same price at the gate as they are online, haven't been to Foxhall for over 4 years but if the weather stays OK am thinking of going tonight.
  10. Had a lovely afternoon chatting to people and seeing old riders, loved Reg Luckhursts short but sweet sing song, perhaps we should have all joined in. The model of Custom House Stadium was excellent but it wasn't until I got home and looked closely at the photos I had taken of it ( I was busy trying to pinpoint exactly where I stood) that I realised that the names of those who lost their lives at Lokeren were shown at the starting tapes, lovely touch to a great piece of work. We'll done to the organisers of the event can we have a few more similar events please especially when the sun is shining.
  11. What an excellent watch. It would be good if Discovery+ showed this as part of their speedway coverage and maybe also on the big screen at Cardiff during the racing interval or before the meeting starts.
  12. And when he was alive he had the right of reply. When someone's died people should just pay their respects or say nothing at all, the only people who might be reading negative comments are his family who are left behind and I just hope if they are reading this forum they ignore the ignorant posts and focus on the overwhelming ones from people who realise he will be missed and also a great loss to Speedway.
  13. OMG, as long as its not blaring out who would it disturb the tracks in the middle of nowhere. Someone parked in the field had their car radio on which we could hear occasionally, what is it with these planning departments it's obvious they all hate speedway and people enjoying a day out. Oh well next time we visit I'll take my ipod.
  14. Our first time at Iwade found the track with the help of satnav. We sat on first bend, pa system was fine there, could have done with some background music, but not as deafening as it used to be at Eastbourne. Delays between races need to be sorted. It's a new venture so hopefully as weeks go on things will improve as we definitely need some speedway south of the river as the only other two tracks in the South are Poole and Plymouth much too far for us to travel. Didn't try the food outlet so can't comment on that but toilet facilities definitely need improvement which hopefully will also happen in time.
  15. Such awful news, Nigel will be a massive loss to speedway but most of all a massive loss to his family R.I.P
  16. We live 90 minutes drive, on a good day, from Eastbourne. We managed to get to nearly all their Championship home matches, either driving there and back and on many occasions making a weekend of it. If Eastbourne run only in the NDL I'm afraid we would only be very occasional visitors, it has to be at least Championship to make the long journey worthwhile for us. Hoping they are back next year as really missing our speedway already and it's only April.
  17. Would love to have been there tonight but couldn't make it. Anyone know if the meeting is being streamed please.
  18. Anyone have any ideas re the teams etc for the meeting on 17th as I can't see much on the kentroyals website
  19. Anyone else noticed Eddie had "Guest" on his back instead of his name !
  20. Thank you. Logged in OK on laptop now and connected that to TV.
  21. Dies anyone know if I can log into the livestream on my mobile and then cast it to my TV as TV is a bit hit and miss loading fro Internet, or would I be better to load it onto my laptop then connect that to my TV via a cable
  22. Had too many clear outs to probably have any memorabilia around, most of its in my head (unless my mind is playing tricks) like the time a rider was going back to the pits over that stupid plank of wood and somehow managed to topple into the ditch, think it was Tony Clark, and it was mainly spectators shouting that alerted anyone. Anyway we'll be there in May.
  23. Keep the points system simple. Winners get 3 points, drawn meetings teams get 1 point each, nothing for a losing team.
  24. Are they Promoters or a bunch of sheep/yes men, sounds like the later to me. For goodness sake if they don't get a grip they won't have anything left to promote, surely some of them read this forum, I've not seen one post yet that thinks this no drawn meetings plan is a good idea.
  25. TV should not be allowed to dictate the outcome/final result of a meeting they should only be streaming it they should not be allowed to change the rule book. Speedway is in a bad enough state at the moment without interference from outside bodies who just happen to be able to show money talks. No wonder speedway fans are walking away from rather than to meetings.
