  1. I disagree, Blair never started heat 2, Connor was at the back in heat 4, and Leon was getting passed by Lambert either way in heat 5 due to his teammate being so slow in front of him. I don’t think Scunthorpe won a single point due to luck, you could argue Blair might of beat Ablitt in ht2 but when you don’t even get off the line then I think that goes out of the window.
  2. Time for Jye to go. Nearly cost us the meeting tonight from some awful riding. Luckily Douglas’ bike problems saved us but no excuses from Jye, not good enough.
  3. The loan fee is pennies to each club, and i’m sure is now decided upon by BSPL, if everyone gave up their assets, no one would be bothered, apart from the BSPL who can sell these riders to other clubs when their clubs fold. I’d imagine quite a lot of riders these days are ‘unattached’/‘BSPL’ assets due to their parent club not existing anymore.
  4. Assets mean nothing whatsoever apart from a name on a piece of paper and haven’t done for a very long time. If Redcar are offering £60 per point and Oxford are offering £65 per point, and he lives closer to Oxford, that’s where he’s going to go, he’s a young lad, they have 15-20 years if they’re lucky to make as much money as they can. Put it into the real world, if you’re a salesman and another firm offered you an extra £2 per hour, you’d probably move.
  5. Tbf I’d be expecting Dan Thompson to beat Zach Cook around Leicester, he’s grown up on the track and knows it as well as any Leicester rider. Zach’s a slightly better rider but not round Leicester.
  6. skulduggery? riders are guns for hire, it’s up to Jordan Jenkins where he wants to ride, not Oxford, not Redcar.
  7. Gusts, Fienhage and any other european would be a 5 unless they’ve yet to ride in a competitive league.
  8. Connor Coles the best 2 pointer in the league this year… yet was at Plymouth last season
  9. You’ve just came off the back of back to back away wins
  10. A pound a race… there’s been 45 races at Shielfield Park this season and I wouldn’t have paid a pound for any of them.
  11. I can’t think of them announcing double header prices. Don’t know why they’re needing to run double headers, especially when it’s two different clubs, but a lot of people won’t be interested in paying in excess of £30 to watch it
  12. Berwick’s not going to drop Watson, it was the whole idea of the Courtney’s set up. He had never rode a speedway bike until he rode at Duns, then into the NJL team, then into the NL team, and he’s a Berwicker
  13. The best of it is 99% of Berwick fans knew it was an awful team, apart from the promotion… makes you think. Jorgensen a 7 pointer and always will be, waste of 2.5 points is unforgivable
  14. Agree with Jorgensen, rubbish side and rubbish track. But why aren’t Berwick fans allowed to be unhappy? We’ve had no form of success for 11 years and even that was only a 4’s win, only made the play offs once since then too when over half the league gets in nowadays, we are taken for mugs year in, year out. Of course you build a team to a budget, but you build wisely, when was the last time we built a competitive team?
  15. Think it’s obvious last weekend was a blip/ a very poor Edinburgh team. Been to every meeting h&a this season so far, Connor Coles has been brilliant, Leon doing his job at home but not away at all, Rory’s had 3 good meetings, 3 bad, TJ and Jye have had a couple of ok meetings each, which just isn’t good enough. Fans aren’t going to put up with this, especially when it’s a double header next weekend.
  16. Yeah, like Jaizer, thought it was an air fence the way it lifted, was other side of stadium so didn’t see that he went between panels
  17. Where have you seen that about Jonas? As he is not in the Pila team for today
