Will referees penalise Lindback for having his barnet sticking out his helmet, though?
-
Han's injury looks to me like a brawlers break - IE it's not even on the main two knuckles which a boxer would be likely to injure (Brawlers so called I believe because it's the result of punching incorrectly). How on earth he's going to be riding next week is beyond me, as it's a paticularly painful and nasty one. Matt Ford has history and I believe he'll cheat if he thinks he'll get away with it, but in this case there's no way I'd be happy with someone in my team with that injury. Lets see the rules set up for next season to avoid this kind of controversy (Buster?), but in the meantime for a neutral like me I'm going to sit back and enjoy the cream of world speedway battling it out.

I'd like to see an excel spreadsheet of Starman's Speedway Star Sales figures. Week by week for the last 5 years and then a projection of how he sees sales up to the end of next season. LETS GET THE FACTS ON THE TABLE. -

Maybe he just felt embarrased and chucked it. As long as he wasn't saying it again fair enough, but these days you know what it's like. If he hadn't resigned there'd be a twitter campaign to get him sacked from his day job, arrested and sent to a reeducation camp. -

Sure he'll get a job elsewhere. On most speedway PA's he could call everyone a ***** **** and no-one would be any the wiser. -

Agreed. Something is going to have to change in the EL next season, as the scheduling of fixtures this year has been a shambles. Belle Vue were unlucky to end up running against Man City on Wednesday too. However, if I cast my mind back to the opening night debacle and the aftermath of postponed meetings Belle Vue haven't done too badly. -

Agreed, I think he's a shoe in on his average next year as hopefully he settles in doing the premier and EL and gets his machinery to his liking. Morris I never thought looked like he was ready to step up. He was far from the finished article at premier level imo and needs to get back riding PL next year. and doubling up. -
Hope not - they are a shambles as regards fixtures, promotion, money, cheating etc etc. A bit worrying........... ...and hopefully they don't go down the lines of not awarding points to the winning team or whatever it was. Artificially creating close scores is utter madness.

... of course you can finish without a dirt deflector, with a puncture, even with a blown up engine as we've seen plenty of times in the past. Don't worry, I'm sure there'll be a @@@@gate of some sort in the playoffs. -

If Buster likes tractor racing Glasgow will take him. Good signing imo. Has he ever burst an air fence? -
Belle Vue V Poole Elb 12/09/16 Sky Meeting
damosuzuki replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
As we knew, the meeting showed that there are two good, at times outstanding teams. The winner if they do come together again is going to be down to their weaknesses imo. Belle Vue are far from the finished article and Poole will see a major overhaul in the close season. The good thing is that no one team looks head and shoulders over the rest and the playoffs are going to be interesting. -
Newcastles relentless drive to finish second is deeply worrying for Glesga. I really don't want us to be in the quarters this year. Hopefully Ipswich can keep them at bay with the backing of the massif!!! They look like the team that along with Sheffield I thought were the best bets for the league. But good to see Rene getting round in good style.

Belle Vue V Poole Elb 12/09/16 Sky Meeting
damosuzuki replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
What a teriffic, exciting meeting. Belle Vue's big strength is depth tbh - they have no outstanding riders this season but every single rider can produce the goods. Holder the star of the night for me, he absolutely loves that track. Buz has been Ford's big mistake this season, which is ironic given the shananigans about him not being on the HL list. Poole are erratic but have an immense never say die attitude and real talent that is going to make them tough in the playoffs. Not too shabby crowd, considering it is a BIG stadium. Again, a great advert for speedway imo, really really enjoyed that. -

And a few more potential Star sales go down the drain. Exactly. I've set the TIVO and looking forward to undoubtedly two of the biggest teams in British speedway facing off on a cracking track with Sky's as usual excellent coverage. -

Belle Vues promotional work has been piss poor, but baseline support is there. They've had huge crowds a couple of times this season. They really need to sort out the presentation though and make the whole thing a family frienly night out, as they've failed badly at this aspect. The over the top H&S regime and the no food rule won't do it any favours though. -
2017 Potential Signings
damosuzuki replied to poolebolton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Chris holder has been Poole through and through snce before he could walk. He has a pirates duvet. His walls are plastered with pictures of Ford and Middlo. If anyone hands him a Belle Vue pen when he's signing autographs he snaps it and refuses to sign. His wife bought him a Stone Roses ticket and he refused to go because they are 'Manc Vue b******'. He has a tatoo of Matt ford's crombie on his left ankle and a locket with a picture of Starman that he wears for good luck. OK? -
2017 Potential Signings
damosuzuki replied to poolebolton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Holder MIGHT be a good choice for BV, certainly they need to improve at the top end next season. I can't see him staying at Poole. Nicholls will go I presume and Zagar as well probably. I'd presume manchester is quite an attractive location for riders to fly in to. Next years elite could easily feature the world champ and 3 of the top five in the world. Poole must be guaranteed an overhaul and I think that will start with a new #1. Holder, understandably, looks tired and seems to lack enthusiasm. Plus I don't know who'll join the EL but wager and hope it ain't Glasgow. We'd be also rans I'm afraid. -

But do the 700 sold include season tickets? If you took them away it would make it easier to understand. Eg 400 season 300 advance and 600 gate. Agree two home fixtures in a week has happened often and is a disgrace for these clubs after the lack of fixtures in the actual summer. -
Workington Vs Glasgow (pl) 10/09/16
damosuzuki replied to damosuzuki's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Rubbish, there will be a decent Glesga turn out. Cashfield itself has been busier than ever the last couple of weeks (apart from the derbies) so all going nicely thank you..... I think this is an attractive fixture, and given tonights postponement here's hoping we get a good few at worky. -
Indian summer on the cards for Cumbria tomorrow. Glasgow 1. Lawson 2. Lunna 3.Summers 4. Bach 5. Richie Worral 6. Garcia 7.Ayres Workington 1.Wells 2. Campton 3.Hansen 4.Jensen 5.Vissing 6.Roynon 7.Williamson I think we can win this despite our away form. Big travelling support should make it a great night - and a good excuse to escape the nonsense in Glasgow after the football. COME ON THE LADS IN RED AND WHITE!!!!!!!
