Peterborough Panthers 2016
damosuzuki replied to mudflaps's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
"I've also been informed that Belle Vue were not in a position to give us permission to speak to the rider - something they did grant to my co-promoter Trevor Swales when he made contact with them." Assuming that the BSPA are too dense to have come to this conclusion themselves, who would have raised it? -

Peterborough Panthers 2016

I'd like to hear the full details of how this happened. At the end of the day, our most promising British rider has been blocked from riding for a British team, not because it breaks the rules but because someone doesn't fancy it - the BSPA decision is a disgrace. And that's speaking as a supporter of another team who would have had to face up to the threat Cook posed to title ambitions. What a joke. -
Swindon V Lakeside Thursday 5th May 2016

Shame this one wasn't on Sky by the looks of it! -
I rate Cook and think he is rightly ambitious for success and will achieve it. Peterborough will help him pay the bills and he is going to be on a big big stage when Belle vue get started at the NSS. Good luck to him (and his nads) the rest of the year. Just hope he qualifies for the GP.

Lakeside V Belle Vue - 4 May - Sky Match
damosuzuki replied to TonyE's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Probably to be expected results wise, though Belle Vue suffered with falls, Cooks retiral and Joe not being dialled in yet. However, good performance from Lakeside and great to see Lawson doing well again. Some very good racing. Worth staying in for. -

IMO, virtually every heat has been good.Lots of racing. I presume the lack of grading is simply due to injuries etc, but yes the track is poor. -

Brilliant ride from Cook - he just will not let Lawson get the better of him. -

Yes there's been delays but don't believe the moaners. As Orion says passing and excitement so far. Craig Cook just badly bruised his nadgers. Oooof -

Very exciting prospect - Come on the two Richies. Actually had to cancel a dinner due to this, but no way I am missing it. -
Edinburgh V Glasgow - League Cup 6th May
damosuzuki replied to george.m's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Exactly, if he scores 3 then he's doing the job. People seem to miss this with the reserves. -
In the good news - I brought along two people the other week. One has been back twice since, and the other hasn't but is organising a day out to the speedway with five friends. It's like anything else though. Basketball looks deadly boring to me but I'm sure if you went to a few games you'd start to understand the intricacies and enjoy it a lot more.

If he's making hee haw in Poland, he probably can't afford to be too stringent in demands to a premier team. But who could fit that average in? I mean surely he could ride for Workington as it's only down the road from Belle Vue.

Pie, chips, gravy as good as they've ever been. To the fans, look at the money and hard work the Facennas and promoters have put in, in the bar after the meeting on Sunday I did a double take - it's like being at a Premiership football club. Awesome place. -

BUMP.... after the first few meetings of the season. Obv the table misleading as most matches have been friendlies or cup.
