If the EL (as looks likely) collapses next year then we are faced with the NL, a well run part time sport and the rest. There are a few clubs in the EL and the premier on the brink of extinction who may be able to survive part time. Then a few clubs (poole, Belle Vue..an other with half decent potential attendences. Then the rest. IE the whole premier has sub 1000 attendences (an in a good few cases sub 500). Getting an Elite league to run without a very generous TV deal must be practically impossible. If anyone drops out the EL, who would take their place?

Everything you pay to your club is helping the club survive. Speedway is full of people who'd be delighted if they could get in for nothing, even if it put the club out of business. And don't start me on the pensioners who want in for a pittance so they can stock up on werthers Original and Ovaltine for their winter in Portugal. If you can afford it, support your team... or shut the *** up.

Our fixtures have been a bit like that though. I don;t expect too many days like tht this season, although at the moment at home we must be just about the strongest team in the league.
