  1. Clive I said the promotion would resolve it easily not me
  2. Agree arneig, sorting cover for Ben is not going to be a problem, people making an issue of it is a nonsense, the promotion will resolve it easily
  3. agree gavan the team matt ford has put together this year is by a long way the best team in the league (to date) and not to win all three competitions imo would mean the team has failed, though still magnificent team building .
  4. Needs to watch moto gp,wsb or bsb to see how real professional motorbike racers behave in front of tv cameras.
  5. That's really the problem this season there isn't another 2nd div team who have 3 heat leaders of similar standard to lawson, brennan and cook so it's more like a procession than a "wow".obviously the top division is better silly to say otherwise. Think for non speedway related reasons it suits the promoter at the moment to make decent relatively 'easy money " in the championship.
  6. Probably a quick shout out in the pits ,"anybody lending vinnie a bike ??"haha
  7. Another privatisation disaster, just got to hope the new Czech owner will improve things, would have preferred the Germans to own it but hoping for the best!!
  8. Maybe oxford just aren't very good at running a speedway team,it happens
  9. Well your post is about speedway skids, majority of posts on recent poole threads have pretty much been garbage
  10. it hasnt been for sale quite as long as poole speedway but quite a while haha, like matt ford implies a small seven bedroom hotel isnt worth the time and effort reqd to run it properly
  11. Great move by the promoter to shuffle things and bring in brennan, cant see him being in this lower league next season, think the cooks if they are really going to progress have to move on from div2 somehow.
  12. Maybe, and he never fails to get a catch on the poolethread, would have thought it's now getting far to easy for him/her,maybe now needs a fresh more difficult challenge !!
  13. Perhaps speedway riders should watch the best bike racers in the world in moto gp being interviewed and learn from it
  14. Have I missed a forum directive that members have to put their holiday details on the forum?? Surely this would be of no interest to any other poster and pointless!!
  15. Would like to see Robert lambert and riders like him at Poole every week tho lisa
  16. Think I would expect Joe to outscore max at the moment Mike but don't think that's going to have much affect on the match result, has to be a comfortable home win, if its barker, newman and Rowe the top three that's pretty weak.
  17. If they don't sign anyone before their first match what facilty will they have? Makes you wonder what's going to happen if there's a few injuries this yr
  18. purely going on riss recent performances at poole he seemed a rider a long way off full confidence,he was looking behind at least 6 or more times in every race,at his best a fair signing but jmo a real risk.I do think its essential both for the league and plymouth speedway that they have a competitive team this season and to that end would support the promoters easing the rules if necessary to make that possible
  19. I suppose the stadium is "operational "because there is greyhound racing ,so it must be "substantialy" complete to do this, why there's no speedway is certainly bewildering
  20. thats correct arnieg re planning applications, tho he wouldnt have to "aquire some form of ownership"would just need to "aquire" an arrangement or agreement with the freeholder and a developer(who would provide funds) No risk no work for osborne!!
  21. Essential that max gets plenty of track time to help his progression at Poole,so big thank-you to all the other promoters for their help Haha
