What will 2026 UK speedway bring?

Slightly pains me to admit how slow I've been to finally realise that TTT is the greatest wind-up merchant on the forum to keep this post going so actively is amazing, driving a losing argument for days is outstanding, well done.It also pains me to admit you've outgunned our own wind-up champion Mr shovvy -

Because steve(or should it be Stephanie, you never know these days)how would the ex prem teams sign whoever they want and leave the championship teams "chasing shadows"there are championship teams who have better promoters and sponsors than most prem clubs, maybe some of the prem clubs would end up chasing the shadows -

Excellent post Mike,(will be ordering bsb tickets next wk for 2026) BSB is a fantastic model of how to run a motorbike championship, with no "superstars "the very top riders will race in this country once a year in a wsb or motogp round, but the crowds at every bsb are fantastic, pay £47 for 3day weekend ticket -

TTT this and almost all your other posts assume that prem Clubs have some cards to play, they really don't, they're almost in a beggers can't be choosers position. If belle vue/ipswich owners/promoters decide they'd rather sell then so be it -
Agree lisa definitely bigger crowds in the ward/holder era

Would have walked if he could have found a buyer pitgate

Blue you did spend most of the season criticising kerr and starke, saying they shouldn't have been signed, even wanting rid, glad you've been won around and appreciate the riders

Cairns 4th in british u19 final today, solid scores, was beaten by his potential reserve teammate next season cooper rushen when they met who finished 3rd,could be many battles between them two in future yrs,who knows but my money on rushen, don't know how but glasgow have to sign him otherwise they'll have the same problems again next yr.Big congratulations to Luke Harrison the champion .

That's right, similar situation arose in moto gp a while back, Mark marquez riding for honda was banned for 10 days or so when the next gp was a week away so he would miss it, however flooding cancelled that event, honda successfully argued that he'd served his ban even though he hadn't missed a gp which was the intended punishment, within 48hrs Dorna amended ruling so in future the ban would be for a meeting irrespective of time, so Bowes has to miss the next say 5 meetings for his team .maybe a simpler way to impose punishment but what happens now is like banning father xmas from delivering parcels the first two weeks in june

Exactly Arthur good point, can't see him being anywhere else but it's certainly possible

Why did you think that's funny blue? most sportsman in any sport follow the money, and in speedway now there's no legal reasons to stop riders moving around
-
Obviously lawson happy at poole but I'm sure if poland offered him £800 a point and not ride uk he'd be off
-
No assets steve so lawson could be tempted away by a big offer
