  1. r/r would mean lawson could have 6rides(7 if plymouth take an early lead) thats tempting, cooks would be ok so r/r for me also keeps all the wages in the "family" Only risk for away leg first is if plymouth struggle to obtain strong guests and poole take a decent lead back to wimborne rd then it wouldbe a small crowd especially with weather uncertainty
  2. agree alarming number of crashes, grasstrack also suffering badly, seemingly every meeting, anybody watch bsb this weekend wow,i suppose theres always been crashes but all bikes are so fast now that the consequences are worse.will rev limiters make speedway bikes safer next yr??
  3. re the kennett versus guest scenario, if matt ford was in that situation he would look at it as a very simple decision "can i permanently sign a rider who will outperform the guests that will be available to me??if no then i go with guests all season" Footnote 5yrs ago pretty certain he would have found a good replacement not so sure this yr
  4. does anyone know what happened in tom brennans fall? my first thought was something gave way on the front end but it was wheeled back to the pits? looked awkward certainly would have surprised him ,glad he was fine
  5. that would obviously be poole because we rode two more matches than glasgow and leicester !! dont think youll get away with that one lisa, edit just realised you got that, wink wink
  6. need good viewing figures in order to sell advertising i suppose, its hardly going to be a popular watch is it ?
  7. yep because he doesnt want to be,and never ever planned to be,move seems to certainly have suited him judging by his dominant performance at the pairs.
  8. that wasour first selection, then someone who knows her ,was sure it wasnt, lets leave it as unknown
  9. matt did come out the old grandstand very early, about 50 of us were there, asked for our attention gave us all one of the posters personally and asked if we could tell everyone to display them in front of the councillors,he finished off by saying quite loudly to all of us"WE ARE FIGHTING FOR OUR SURVIVAL".to that end i think he organised a magnificent evening and the councillors(most of them probably on there first ever visit)seemed to be really impressed and probably a little surprised at the passion and enthusiasm in the stadium. On a lighter note was i the oldest fan to high five the mouse?? also we were trying to guess who she was??showed some pretty smart dance moves on the centre green, was it you lisa??
  10. so like me auntie you probably wouldnt have gone if you didnt already have a ticket
  11. bought tickets early as thought they might sell out, should have waited would then have not bothered, wont ever buy again until day of the meeting then decide.be pretty hollow nay meaningless victory for whoever wins.british speedway is on such a downward spiral at breakneck speed i fear it now cannot be saved
  12. but do we trust them with the future of our sport in poole?????????
  13. if council bods are going to be present understand completely the logic of getting as many families as possible in the stadium, but really, giving hundreds of kids whistles ,bad thinking shocking idea.if theyre keen on families why didnt they have accompanied under16s free allsummer holidays??
  14. plus oxford blue, should make the semis then anything can happen
  15. no preview on british speedway promoters website
  16. leicester wont be in the quarter finals, straight into the semi finals.
  17. dont think shes offended mike,in fact understand shes offered to send prince andrew to present the trophy!!
  18. no problem were always happy to change the racenight for a danish rider
  19. enjoyed it when christina was a guest at a fans forum some years back, interesting to listen to and a sense of humour
  20. dont think gary ablitt is being considered a long term project at all, matt ford is to good at team building not to have worked out that garys best hope was apoint in ht2 plus any gifts!but the team would be good enough to carry him this yr,unlikely to return me thinks edit. oops god knows where that came from
  21. yes ray danyon certainly improved big time since leaving poole
  22. could be something to do with the number of matches being used to calculate the averages being reduced by 2 each month dickie, maybe hes dropped a couple of bad scores
