2nd option less likely if aiming for a strong top 5.
-
If Rob wants Ablitt i'm sure an appropriate average reduction will have been applied for with him not riding last season.
-
As far as I know Steve Worrall has a business and a young family. Maybe more a case of priorities and loss of desire.
-
Lambert did say on Speedway 360 that he had a club for next season but didn't say which league. if it is a Championship club the he will be back at Scunny simply by a process of elimination.
-
looks like team not sorted so probably true about being let down by a rider from Denmark. Did hear that a rider was recommended by Jonas Jeppeson but subsequently lost a major sponsor.
-
Not doing UK even though he did have offers including from Poole. Riding in European leagues including for a Polish Extraliga club apparently. Probably a sensible decision as he has just turned 16.
-
Yeah, it is great to see local businesses supporting Speedway.
-
No, fans are increasingly uncertain about whether the team is sorted.

This is an interesting one. There may be something in it simply because he hasn't ridden Speedway for 7 years and many people may well have forgotten about him in the context of a speedway rider. Could be a good signing if he feels he has unfinished business . He would need to be assigned a favourable average of 4.97 or less based on my belief that if Cookie has been given yet another chance then we should sign Max Perry as our other reserve (2.29). Other options that fit with Perry would be Danyon Hume 4.97 ( on condition his fractured back metalwork removal due around this month is uncomplicated. ) Nathan Ablitt 4.91 and Declan Kennedy 4.63. I reckon Scunny will do all they can to sign Drew Kemp in order to give them 2 heat leaders. Luke Harrison must be back and more than likely Lambo. This would only leave them 3.24 for the last reserve if indeed this is the scenario.

Zach's last Speedway meeting was in September 2018. He apparently stepped away from the sport citing reasons of confidence on the bike. He is 27 now and did become World Long Track Champion in 2025. Could he be fancying a return after 7 years ? and what would be his assessed average ?. More questions than answers.

Jason Garrity ? Who is it ?

Who is it ?

That's a left field choice if true. Can't see it somehow. Can't believe we would be in such a position.
-
Not if Cook has been signed.
-
Jamie Etherington would struggle in the Championship based on what I seen of him last season. Don't know much about Heidelberg so can't really comment. Think Cookie would let us down again. Would like us to get the team signed up and announced now. The first 4 signings came in quick succession then a gap indicating we haven't got a full team signed up yet .
-
yeah think geography would have been a factor in his decision.
-
I think this is a good shout. Worky track would suit him. Saturday track logistics may be an issue.
-
It is looking like there may have been a fly in the ointment which is a shame if true considering most teams have had their line ups sorted for a while. If the Cookie rumour has legs then I will be surprised past history considered. If there has been backword from a Danish rider and Cookie has signed then the options are limited. Danyon Hume and Max Perry comes in bang on 40 points if my math is correct. Danyon is a trier and Max has scope for improvement.

You never know in Speedway. Looking like the Anders Rowe defection has worked out well though. Cook the better rider in my opinion. Cairns should kick on while young Cooper finds his feet. Definitely two reserves with bags of potential.
-
Not a bad way to announce young Cooper by the Pirates 👍
-
Not long to wait then. Bit of trumpism in the club announcement re season tickets and pricing for next year I think. Stating season ticket prices excellent value to then announce a price increase on general admission. The Harbourmasters meeting is included which the promotion boast as a meeting that fits perfectly with Poole's aim of showcasing the best of young British Talent British 😏
-
🤣🤣👍

Do you know he has left the Championship behind ?. Haven't seen this in writing. Championship team places do now look extremely limited. Scunny who are yet to announce the remaining pieces of their team jigsaw could fit him in.
-
Welcome Cooper Rushen. Great enthusiastic young racer whom I would have loved to have seen in Worky Comets kevlars next season. Good luck for 2026 Coops. The Poole fans are indeed lucky to have two of the hottest young prospects in their team for 2026.

More than likely.
