  1. you seem to be getting a bit twitch y Neila 😉😂
  2. Young Ryan Ingram is progressing very quickly, well done the Scorps for spotting his potential and signing him early.
  3. It won't have been accepted easily by Andrew not being able to cut it, he likes it tidy.
  4. Yeah very true, all the darker areas on the green were underwater yesterday and have been on and off for weeks.
  5. Track looking in good condition, Steve Lawson is on with the watering. Looking forward to some cracking racing, Pickering probably going to get 6 rides but hopefully not 18 points 😃. UTC 👊
  6. Comets finally kick off their 2026 home campaign with a visit from the Scunny Scorpions. The North Lincolnshire club have had a mixed start to the season having ridden home and away against Redcar in the BSN Trophy and Poole in the Knockout Cup. After being knocked out of the Knockout Cup over two legs against the Pirates the Scorps will be looking to push us all the way in a quest to progress from the Northern BSN group. In No1 Josh Pickering they have one of the best riders in the league, an exciting racer Josh never gives up until he crosses the line, I think Comets fans will be in for some exciting races involving this man. So far Josh has generally lacked support from another quality heat leader as both Michael Palm Toft at 5 and young Luke Harrison at 3 have to date been somewhat ineffectual away from the Eddie Wright Raceway. Young Lukes last visit to the GT Tyres Arena seen him lift the U19 British Title beating Jody Scott and a certain Cooper Rushen. Coops is currently the talk of British Speedway and he guests in place of the unfortunate Vinnie Ford so the Comets fans will have a great opportunity to see what young Coops is all about. Hopefully Steve Lawson will have a good outside racing line prepared and for sure Cooper will not be the only rider to use it. Another rider who was involved in the U19 Title that day was the Scorpions No7 Ryan Ingram. Having just watched a video of Ryan beating Lewis Kerr at the EWR It certainly looks like this young man continues to improve so Cooper and Jamie will have their work cut out against Ryan and experienced reserve partner Simon Lambert who is usually solid at Northside. Prediction an entertaining 60-30 UTC !
  7. Free breakfast offer but had to be a 'payable up front non flex booking ' if I remember rightly ☚ī¸
  8. Don't think so, you would probably opt for that option though đŸ¤Ŗ
  9. Maybe true but only needed to drop a fraction which was all Max Perry wouldn't fit by.
  10. Goosed my non refundable hotel booking for the 2nd May though.
  11. Generally not been that impressed by Sam at Northside. Hope Vinnie back sooner rather than later , a solid reserve is so important.
  12. First of all I hope Vinnie isn't too beat up after lifting off the 4th bend and ploughing into the fence ( No tattie puns please 😉). Following a first ride where he struggled with the track he was much more competetive. Shame after superbly getting into a 5-1 behind Cookie and looking comfortable he lifted and couldn't get it down in time. This was always going to be a tough task but we were left rueing points thrown away when in good race positions. Niklas looks a real racer and I look forward to see him develop as he settles in to British racing. Signs are that consistency will be pivotal to our chances of competing at the sharp end. Well done the Bears who all chipped in. The 10 last places undid the Comets but there were some promising signs. UTC
  13. And there was me thinking it was news of a big investor and a new blueprint for taking British Speedway forward.
  14. The same man on 360 many weeks ago referred to two big things that were going to happen involving Speedway Futures. One he said he was 99% certain of and we should hear something in about 2 weeks and the other he was 90% certain of happening. As usual there was not a drop of information and I'm still waiting as probably are many others for the announcement of one big thing never mind two.
  15. thought you had got your car converted to run on moonshine ?
  16. Hopefully we get some better weather this week and we can get Press and Practice in. Personally i'm itching to see our 7 out on track in the new club kevlars which I have heard good things about. Should be some really competetive meetings this season. UTC 🤘
  17. Thought Reid done well in the Aussie Champs. He had something about him was stylish on the bike and looked to have a racing instinct. He will do okay imo.
  18. Thanks for that. It was good meeting what I saw. Young Vilads Nagel impressive . Lodz done well to get the draw with the 2-4 & 1-5 in heats 14 and 15. Wish there were more community stadiums like that available to British Speedway Clubs.
  19. Brightened up since you posted that geoff 😃.
  20. Shame its off, fans who don't travel will have to wait until the 18th now to see their 2026 Comets in action.
