This just reinforces the need for change to the cost structure of the sport. For example why should promoters be liable for supplying riders tyres fuel and oil ? . Such things are hard to understand bearing in mind the attendances at many tracks.
-
No it isn't and I'm sure this is a factor. With one league there would be enough fixtures to keep fans happy as well as riders who do not regularly have a Premiership/Championship club. It will also be a lower financial burden for promoters than 2H2A.
-
Simon Lambert on podcast Speedway 360 stated that in his opinion ChampIonship should be 2H2A.
-
The BSPL do not appear to consider the views of fans and this is a contributing factor for the current failing state of British Speedway and why the people in charge have largely been a catalyst in it's continued decline and it is still going on.

2026 Premiership is Go! - At least 5 teams

Believe so. -
Went a bit too wide in his 3rd ride without generating the speed to get around. Hooky is doing okay again. Tate should really be top 7 in this field in my opinion, anything less is disappointing.
-
Not the way Tate would want to start the Aussie Champs. Preparation is everything. See how he goes today. Poor first 2 rides.
-
Your just a boy Neil 😃. 94 is a good age, still plenty more meetings to enjoy if we are lucky enough to live that long 🤞👍. As long as Speedway is still going of course.
-
2nd option less likely if aiming for a strong top 5.
-
If Rob wants Ablitt i'm sure an appropriate average reduction will have been applied for with him not riding last season.
-
As far as I know Steve Worrall has a business and a young family. Maybe more a case of priorities and loss of desire.
-
Lambert did say on Speedway 360 that he had a club for next season but didn't say which league. if it is a Championship club the he will be back at Scunny simply by a process of elimination.
-
looks like team not sorted so probably true about being let down by a rider from Denmark. Did hear that a rider was recommended by Jonas Jeppeson but subsequently lost a major sponsor.
-
Not doing UK even though he did have offers including from Poole. Riding in European leagues including for a Polish Extraliga club apparently. Probably a sensible decision as he has just turned 16.
-
Yeah, it is great to see local businesses supporting Speedway.
-
No, fans are increasingly uncertain about whether the team is sorted.

This is an interesting one. There may be something in it simply because he hasn't ridden Speedway for 7 years and many people may well have forgotten about him in the context of a speedway rider. Could be a good signing if he feels he has unfinished business . He would need to be assigned a favourable average of 4.97 or less based on my belief that if Cookie has been given yet another chance then we should sign Max Perry as our other reserve (2.29). Other options that fit with Perry would be Danyon Hume 4.97 ( on condition his fractured back metalwork removal due around this month is uncomplicated. ) Nathan Ablitt 4.91 and Declan Kennedy 4.63. I reckon Scunny will do all they can to sign Drew Kemp in order to give them 2 heat leaders. Luke Harrison must be back and more than likely Lambo. This would only leave them 3.24 for the last reserve if indeed this is the scenario.

Zach's last Speedway meeting was in September 2018. He apparently stepped away from the sport citing reasons of confidence on the bike. He is 27 now and did become World Long Track Champion in 2025. Could he be fancying a return after 7 years ? and what would be his assessed average ?. More questions than answers.

Jason Garrity ? Who is it ?
-
Who is it ?
-
That's a left field choice if true. Can't see it somehow. Can't believe we would be in such a position.
-
Not if Cook has been signed.
-
Jamie Etherington would struggle in the Championship based on what I seen of him last season. Don't know much about Heidelberg so can't really comment. Think Cookie would let us down again. Would like us to get the team signed up and announced now. The first 4 signings came in quick succession then a gap indicating we haven't got a full team signed up yet .
-
yeah think geography would have been a factor in his decision.
-
I think this is a good shout. Worky track would suit him. Saturday track logistics may be an issue.
