Number of Meetings in the UK
SteelShoe replied to Kieran22222's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
less will have to be more next season -
Goes without saying all promoters want to make a profit, who wants 5 and 6 figure losses.
-
You gotta earn big to owe big. It's like Neila putting a few shifts overtime in (when he was workingπ) then complaining about how much income tax he paid.
-
He maybe isπ
-
not sure I get that one Geoff. I remember Mrs Beeton wrote a cracking book on household management though, wonder what the BSPL are cooking up π€
-
yeah I didn't think much of his article either.
-
heard the lump sum was 6 figures, can't have been right π€£
-
good looking top two but best in the league when all haven't been announced is a tad premature Paddy. Think Fredriksen is a good shout, liked the look of him last season both at Plymouth and Worky. I think they will go for Klima if he wants to return.
-
he kept that quiet
-
Seen Ryan in the U19 Championship at Worky. Showed a bit of promise but its a big step up into the Championship, be interesting to see how he copes with the challenge.
-
Well he has a good record on the second of those. New air fence probably Β£35K minimum, loose change for Matt π
-
Big job relieving everyone on here π€£
-
I heard Matt Ford was chipping in as well ππ keen to help with wealth inequality I think π
-
More chance of setting up an alternative to the current structure π. Could call it the Bain Ultimatum or something similar after another secret agent π€£

This is an opinion I have formed over the last few seasons too.

Antti was our best heat leader at the GT Tyres arena last season while Batch was our best heat leader away from home. I would have them both back without doubt, Batch at 5 Antti at 3. However, building a solid team that has a rider or riders who can win the big heats at the back end of the meeting along with a good 3 and 4 who can produce a fair percentage of wins in heat 12 and heat 14 respectively (great example being Zach Cook at Poole) plus having at least one consistently strong reserve is not easy within the constraints of the team building points limit.

maybe don't have the infrastructure, airfence, refs box, starting gates etc and don't have the finances to buy them ?. Looking at the Northampton Shaleway on google I don't think the track shape is conducive to good speedway, looks narrow with long straights. Can anyone confirm ?.

What will 2026 UK speedway bring?
SteelShoe replied to Lionsman66's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
you've just taken the negativity too a whole new level , I'm feeling really depressed now. π©π -
yeah sounds like a fungi ππ
-
Plymouth or Edinburgh, somehow can't see him back at Plymouth he goes well at Armadale generally so they will definitely see him as No1 material.
-
Only made around 4 out of 16 heat 15's last season at home and didn't win one.
-
Sounds like he is our new No1 thenπ. I like Danny great professional and team man. He goes great at the GT Tyres Arena. What I question in the No1 position is, is he the man who will go out in heat 15 and win you the meeting. Time will tell by the sound of things ππ€π
-
Got his location as Poole ?
-
Not Worky anyway.

Think the BSPL are struggling to break even π
