With Wright already in and Jenkins and Edwards as assets they are probably in, don’t think they want to change the team much from last season as Kerr and Riss were very popular so I’d think Newman would be looking for a track closer to the south coast and Anderson might be the sacrificial one . Jordan Stewart to reappear with a NDL ‘star’ to come in ?, Pijper-Boughen-Harrison-Trigger ??? as a big gamble .

Glad your not picking the team then as Jenkins did very well for us and will improve again next season . Newman still lives in Poole so is very unlikely to be signing for a northern club for a full season.

Your not going to get doubling up-down banned, those that are here now won’t cut their earnings in half and still continue to ride. So you won’t get guests banned either as there aren’t any replacements of the same calibre just waiting in the pits. As there may be less clubs next year that will only exasperate the problem as less meeting means less wages and possibly some ‘imports’ thinking twice about coming over perhaps ? Look at your Bears team this year, how many doubling up? and a couple trebling up ! Now how many times did you use guests ? You can have a number eight if you want one , but he/she won’t get used , they never are, look at the Premiere leagues no.8 rule this year, didn’t work, they even brought guests in and kept the no.8 the same ! Lets hope they come up with something though.

A pity the clubs didn’t make more of an effort then.

Yes, council own the whole motorsports park and have tried to pass it off previously as there is no guarantee of safety in any council owned land these days even if you do have a lease.

I did say FIM who control the strings for ALL GP tracks.

Redcar is owned by the local council although everything on the land is owned by the directors.

But as has been said umpteen times, the building superstructures and the dimensions of the rugby pitch mean that it isn’t cost effective for ANY promoter, club or FIM , to try to run speedway at Odsal. As for better location ? It might be for northern based individuals but people travelling from abroad? I’d rather go to Cardiff, despite the rip off hotels and I live really close to Bradford compared to Cardiff.

So that’s two hands up for Bradford but as it’s never going to happen for all the reasons covered on here it’s not really an issue.

So not the best 16 riders in the division more of a diluted individual meeting.

What are the illegibility rules for this meeting ? So many from each club ? As I’m wondering how a teams number 6 gets to qualify for such a meeting ?

So far we have had 21 HOME meetings and we still have two individual meetings and a cup final to run and we hope for more !

and what do clubs do for the other half of the season ? My local club pays rent for 12 months so 15 fixtures isn’t going to cover it !
