Thought I'd get this thread going as the National League section is always rather quiet https://www.speedwaygb.co.uk/news.php?extend.39902 Brilliant to see 8 clubs riding in the NL next season, really excited to see how Plymouth get on. Any predictions in team building for any of the clubs? Massive step forward

Are Bradley Wilson Dean, George Congreve and Matty Wethers not foreign like? I dont understand how it works...

Oxford Cheetahs 2022
Diamonds85 replied to CowleyCheetahs's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I imagine that Kyle and Cameron will be the 3 and 4? NBJ isn't doing uk this year supposedly... Or else I'd be begging for him at Newcastle -
Josef Franc? lol
-
NBJ has been talked about multiple times, supposedly he's not riding next year? Or else he is the obvious choice... Although he'd be at Berwick... My point was if it was a choice between Josh Bates and Ty Proctor is that I'd choose Josh, but yes... Absolutely no thanks if we can avoid it...
-
I mean if we HAD to get one of either Josh Bates or Ty Proctor, I'd choose Josh because at least hes spectacular. But still I'd rather not, I just dont trust him... He'd have to go at number 2 really.

Comedians. The pair of you.
-
There's no one left to sign then!! There must either be a rabbit out the hat, an unheard of or 3 points under the limit...
-
He could have said he's building a financially viable team though, which is a better way of saying a team for the bottom of the table...
-
4 if you count the very important number 8
-
That's a shame Any particular reason? Or just personal ones that's no one's business...
-
Especially if both are at reserve

So he was I think my memory is mixing us and Edinburgh around come to think of it. They were going to have two new riders one being 4.00 and one being 5.00. I think that's where I'm thinking about... We must have both been 5.00 Either way, Nick fits and I think would make a brilliant number 4, partner him with the Ironman Two riders our final signing won't be now is Ashley Morris (signed for Birmingham) and Kyle Newman (Pretty much signed for Birmingham). There's barely anyone left on a sensible average!! Are we going to be 3 points under again? Or am I missing someone obvious...This final rider makes or breaks our team imo, so I am so keen to find out who he is I just hope it's an average above James' Just looking at the averages from last year again... Sam Jensen or Paco Castagna look like the best of what's left to me... Dunno much about Sam tbh, but Paco would be nice, not sure how he rides around Brough tbh? But he's a very entertaining rider. Not the strongest of signings though, but still... An entertainer, especially if he swapped with James and went to reserve.

Kevin Wolbert has had a couple really good season by his standards recently... Would do really well over here I think if his head was in it...
-
He wasn't a guest for Plymouth, they signed him on a short term contract
-
Wonder if it would be a Jason Crump type scenario... Use his average from 6 years ago with certain percentage taken off for each year out... Either way 8.00 is a decent average for Kevin already...
-
Until the first set of averages and someone like Scunny can fit him in maybe?

Scunthorpe Scorpions 2022
Diamonds85 replied to IronScorpion's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Don't worry, I'm sure Godfrey himself is working very hard behind the scenes to bend the rules ever so slightly Hence the delay in announcements... -
Would Kevin Wolbert's average be 8.00? After his 2016 PL average... Or would he get a new one? Maybe Kevin and Norick at 3 and 4 hmmm, the two Germans If you could add Sam, Josh, Kye and 2 reserves that would be a hell of a team... But I highly doubt that would fit would it?
-
I'm sure Nick was a 4.00 and Ondrej was a 5.00. But that may be different if they were signed now. Im not sure?
-
I'm guessing that counts as one of the leagues where he'd be a 5.00 rather than a 4.00 then? No idea, only just heard of that for the first time yesterday
-
Good shout as the senior reserve... But who will be the junior reserve? Or will they go down the same route as the Diamonds and have 10 points down at reserve and not as powerful of a top end? Will be interesting to see...
-
I struggle to see who edinburgh are gonna have at reserve... unless they go for willie Lawson again and nathan Greaves rides again?
-
Well it was going to be 4.00 assessed last year? But what leagues did he ride in 2021? Will it be 5.00 now? Either way we can fit him in and he would easily up that average??? Just permit issues... are slovenians easier than Czechs?
-
Hmmm, interesting... Not sure tbh?
