As our nearest and dearest, I'd love to see the Bears put out a very strong line up for next year. Always nice to have strong next door neighbours Probably way off reality, but this would be a cool line up to see Redcar Bears Avg. 1 Charles Wright 8.28 2 Kasper Andersen 5.87 3 Erik Riss 7.84 4 James Sarjeant 4.16 5 Lewis Kerr 7.67 6 Norick Blodorn 4.00 7 Jordan Jenkins 3.70 Total: 41.52 Remaining: 0.48 I know James Sarjeant at 4 seems pretty terrible, but I'm thinking if him and Norick swap after the first set of averages come out, Norick and Erik would be a brilliant 3 and 4. Lewis is a decent number 5, Charles is a very strong number 1 and Kasper would be the best number 2 in the league by a mile. If the Tommy Jorgensen rumours are true (and I hope they are) then possibly Redcar Bears Avg. Charles Wright 8.28 Jack Thomas 5.15 Kasper Andersen 5.87 Thomas Jorgensen 7.28 Lewis Kerr 7.67 Norick Blodorn 4.00 Jordan Jenkins 3.70 Or Adam Roynon rather than Jack Thomas? Probably miles off but either way, I'm excited to see the team tonight

But I don't understand. In speedway riders sign year long contracts or short term contracts 99% of the time. So Benjamin's contract was up with Poole, why is it then any of Poole's business where he plans on riding next season. Beyond "Are you riding for us next year, these are our terms" and a yes no answer... Basso doesn't owe Poole anything really? And that's the way the Ford's seem to see it? But why? Nail on the head. Jealousy... I wish we would sign a rider like that, But I'm not jealous about it, I'm excited about the prospect of seeing Ben at Newcastle racing for the away side...
-
Real shame because I really enjoyed my 2 visits to Poole last year, thought it was a brilliant track and great set up, didn't realise it was ran by a bunch of children though? Just wish the young lad good luck for the future, you didn't get what you wanted boo hoo. No need to shame him, I'm sure he's not going to bother riding for yous again, even if the scenario was different now. Hope he becomes world champ

I'd rather my team DID accommodate Basso, so I could watch him and be entertained, rather than watching more R/R So he has to base his whole career based on what Matt Ford wants him to do? And if not Matt will spit his dummy out? I don't know much about the Fords, but they seem to expect the whole of the speedway world to revolve around them? And if not they spit their dummy out and slate a young lad publicly? How petty and embarrassing...

So if our final rider is already signed up and sorted. Would it not be best for his sakes just to announce him? So he can more easily get sponsors etc... is there still no plans to announce? This is not a criticism, just a question.
-
Just to keep the Pirates stewing for a bit
-
What time is the team being announced?
-
Never knew that. Last I heard he was packing in speedway. I'd still be shocked to see him back over here though, but I can but hope... thanks for the info
-
Would be happy with a completely new face also. A brand new rider to these shores. Are we allowed to sign Nick Skorja or Ondrej Smetana again. Preferably Nick.
-
I would be surprised if Ludde considered riding in Sweden again nevermind over here... we can hope though. Ideal last signing for that team imo Tero would be great too as third heat leader or number 4 too
-
Sundstrom has retired
-
He can ride for other NL clubs...
-
Martin Vaculik would be one of the leagues top 3 riders... not 3rd heat leader or second string??
-
How well is young Charlie Wood progressing down there? I'm not even sure if he's on the 500s yet... Could he be an option at reserve? NL should be about young local riders and a couple experienced heads to help guide them i.e. Ben Morley...

Thanks everyone

Hi can anyone help me fill in the blanks of the race nights for the CL clubs/confirm if I have them correct. Thanks in advance Berwick - Saturday Birmingham - Wednesday Edinburgh - Friday Glasgow - Saturday??? Leicester - Saturday Newcastle - Sunday Oxford - ??? Plymouth - Tuesday/Wednesday??? Poole - Wednesday Redcar - Friday Scunthorpe - Friday
-
Aye but that's a more important rider riding for two more important clubs... so I wouldn't hold me breath
-
Martin Smolinski was all over the Birmingham Twitter page yesterday, wishing him a happy birthday Hmmm
-
What time is the AGM tonight? And will there be a statement? Will they mention the rules for the PJL too? And what's going on with the national league?
-
I'd go with... 1. Sam Masters 2. Steve Worrall 3. Ryan Douglas 4. Luke Becker 5. Nick Morris 6. Drew Kemp 7. Leon Flint And just hope that Ryan Douglas turns out to have had a massive upgrade over the winter... He's a great young rider, but maybe there's gonna be too much pressure on one or two in that team? The reserves included... Luke Becker should be a great number 4 and Steve can hopefully settle into the number 2 spot and come back to his former self... Sam is a decent number 1, never too convinced with Nick though, he can be brilliant or disappointing, which isn't ideal for a number 5 in an already weakish side... Reserves would have been brilliant if it was 2 RS... But both of them might struggle to be the senior reserve... Disappointed because Wolves generally put good teams out on paper, they're my favourite top flight team generally...
-
So by your reckoning 1. Craig Cook 2. Broc Nicol 3. Tom Brennan 4. Ben Basso 5. Ulrich Ostergaard/Adam Ellis 6. Danyon Hume 7. Connor Bailey Does that actually fit???
-
Jack Thomas is slowly turning into a brilliant little rider and I feel he may surprise a few people next season...
-
Yes yes... I know, I forgot about Bereicks reserves for a second as i pointed out in a later post we have strong reserves should I say then...
-
Guess yous could start thinking of a team then? Dunno what the limit will be, but would be nice to see a top 2 of Dan Gilkes and Jake Mulford, which would take up nearly 20 points!! Who would you Kent fans like to see in the team...
