Not sure if someone has complained about the air fence. FIM official examining it with the track staff now. Can't say I ever remember it being an issue before though, and it's not changed, so perhaps I'm just reading too much into it. Not much else to do right now. Tapping away at least keeps my fingers warm

We have seen some good racing, but Milik and Thomsen both just go their lines wrong. Holder was unlucky - he high sided and got collected. The fall was awkward but he would've got up from it.

Ambulance 2 on track again. Ambulance 3 just left with Chris Holder... Ambulance 1 is up at the pits but seems we might have a reasonable stoppage again. Unfortunate accidents really.

Nilsson's last two rides are off 1 and 4. Heat 15 is tough, but heat 18 could be a good one for him based on what we've seen so far. Gate 4, no big guns (two riders with one point combined, and Drew Kemp).

First win from gate 2, albeit no rider off 3. Bewley has 8 points. 5 riders with 7: Fricke, Holder (J), Jensen, Lambert, Nilsson.

It's the rider who gets to turn one first. Not a term I'd ever seen used in speedway before Discovery used it this year, but it's common in motorbike racing on tracks.

Kids' race after heat 12 is cancelled. Looks like they're moving Holder into a different ambulance so I guess it'll be a short delay yet whilst they do that, before we get going again. Should I check the gantry to make sure Dave Rowe is still awake?

One thing they could do better in Glasgow is filler for the crowd during breaks like this. They have a DJ but the doesn't play any music. They have a centre green presenter but he's got no chat. It doesn't need a lot, but something to fill the void would definitely help when there's a pause.

Fourth bend here. Either KO'd or playing dead lions. Just caught the bottom of the air fence in the head/neck area. Not convinced he should be passed to go out again tbh.

Some rain today, but not loads. Some tomorrow morning, but again not loads. Should be fairly clear from the afternoon. Plenty of banking will help with drainage. Sun’s currently out. I don’t really see any major issues.

That was the original plan, so I guess so. 18 heats so they get 4 rides each? I'd love to see a heat 19 with the top 2 riders from the home team against the top rider from both away teams too. Just for something different and to provide a finale to the evenings.

Yeah, it was terrible at the end, although it seemed to work well for Tom in heat 18.
