Ipswich v Sheffield Thursday 4th June
TTT replied to Aries's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Can't do anything about the weather and the track is waterlogged but I think the negative comments (Myself included) are mostly driven from the whole fiasco surrounding this meeting in regards to the Hellstrom-Bangs situation. Ed Kennett signs, Ed Kennett unsigned, Mulford guests for Ipswich against Sheffield, Bangs returns for Ipswich in place of Mulford, Mulford then guests for Sheffield against Ipswich. -

At least with the postponement, It saves everyone from further embarrassment. -

Could've drawn it out of a hat as to which team got Jake Mulford's points added on to their team total at the end of the meeting lol. -
Bangs rumoured to not return, Kennett signed, Kennett released, Mulford booked to guest, Bangs returns. WTF is going on behind the scenes?

I hope I'm wrong but I wouldn't be surprised if King's Lynn released Castagna and then Mayfield sign him as a No.6.

He's not coming back at all from what I and others have been told. If it's mental health then we've got a Swedish Craig Cook situation on our hands which doesn't benefit anyone in the long run. No Club wanted Jake Mulford as a Rising Star let alone No.6 so I don't see how that's a good move to bring him in as a Guest tbh.

Doesn't change the fact that this situation is a mess, Like some others I've also heard he's not coming back at all. Mayfield and Paul Hurry have only backtracked on Kennett because he didn't show up for practice / training. With all due respect, How can you say give the lad a chance when Mayfield and Paul Hurry have already put out a prior statement saying Hellstrom-Bangs would basically get sacked if Kennett does half decent in a 28 Day period?

I won't mention a certain Danish riders name anymore as I've done that on several occasions. All I'll say is that if Ipswich miss out on the Play-Offs then this is all down to Mayfield, This situation has been Mayfield's first real test since the takeover and they've made a complete mess of the entire situation for a rider who should've been sacked weeks ago.

The sooner Buster does one permanently the better off the Sport will be in this country. He's had a number of riders walk out on him, He's also rubbed a number of Clubs up the wrong way with his shenanigans and sadly he's dragging the entire Premiership down with him. It's due to cowboys like him why the Sport doesn't get taken seriously in this country anymore.

That's the Top 4 basically sorted, Grudziadz, Lublin, Torun and Wroclaw. Only question is whether Grudziadz can keep this going for a full season and pull off the shock of all shocks. It's really good to see a fresh team challenging in the Ekstraliga for a change instead of the usual 3 and I hope they go all the way but it'll be a tough ask.
