First bet of the season for me. LEICESTER -8.00 @ 5/4 and the Hcap Tie @ 8/1 I'd be shocked if Sheffield put up 42+ around Leicester, I don't even think they'll put up 40 tbh.

Lions vs Tigers KO Cup 🏴23/04/26🏴 19:30
TTT replied to IainB's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Lions by 10-14 imo. -
Should be a walk in the park with every Witch scoring well. 57 - 33

My concern is that he's been riding at reserve against very inexperienced riders and he's still only managed to get 1 x 2nd Place from 7 Rides Away from Home and that's on tracks that should be more favourable to his style of riding. 3+2 combined vs. Rushen/Scott and Zischke/Cairns is very poor and Jeppesen would easily improve on that by a sizeable margin every week at reserve but that option is only available for another 8 days after tonight.
-
I'm honestly not sure if he'll even be here tbh. Jeppesen's average goes up to 5.65 in May, So it's a decision that has to be made over the next week.

Agree 2 x 6 Points for Jonas riding @ No.2 around Belle Vue and Leicester so far this season. If the Club wants to give Scotty the full season as a farewell send off then a very harsh decision will have to be made on Hellstrom-Bangs if things don't improve imo because it's likely that Scotty is going to struggle to score a point around Belle Vue and Sheffield which will certainly be two of the four tracks come Play-Off time.
-
Agree, I said pre-meeting that Hurry made a massive error in pairing Lawson and Nicholls. Nicholls should be @ No.2 every week imo.

After seeing the form of riders, I'm almost on the same page as you. Minor alterations from my pre-season rankings. 1. Wroclaw 2. Lublin 3. Torun (Dudek reverting back to his old self see's Torun dip from 1st to 3rd with Wroclaw and Lublin moving up 1 Place) 4. Zielona Gora 5. Leszno 6. Grudziadz (Drabik same situation as Dudek see's Grudziadz drop from 5th to 6th with Leszno moving up 1 Place) 7. Gorzow 8. Czestochowa

Some people do depending on their trade of work lol. If Lawson was turning up with lawnmowers and ended up going R, 1, 0, R then I could understand the backlash, But he's scored the amount of points that was predicted for him and the dirty bikes didn't have any impact on the result. Lawson's dirty bikes aren't anything to worry about from a fan perspective but Hellstrom-Bangs form is, The Club can't afford to carry him when age has caught up with Scotty to a point where he's going to struggle to score anything around tracks that he'll have to ride at the business end of the season if Ipswich make the Top 4.....(Scotty's still a legend though)

Play-Down thing has gone way OTT in order to produce more meetings so they can make more Zloty's out of Canal. I'll never buy into a 5th Placed Ekstraliga Team being a serious relegation candidate as they'll need to lose 2 x Two-Legged Ties on the spin vs. Teams that finished below them in the table as well as another Two Legged Tie against a Team that wasn't even good enough to win the Ekstraliga 2. League.

The Lawson bike talk really is moaning for the sake of moaning tbh. Lawson's Dirty Bikes -> 6 Points from 4 Rides.......Nicholls and Hellstrom-Bangs Clean Bikes -> 1+1 from 6 Rides. Clean/Dirty bikes really didn't make make a difference at all, Just got beat by the better team on the night.
-
I know the rule, It's just a stupid rule that's been created to milk extra meetings out of the season, Not a chance half of the League are legit relegation candidates. For example say Zielona Gora finish 5th and miss out on the Play-Offs by 1 or 2 Points, Nobody can honestly think that they're a legit relegation candidate which is what the rule wants fans to believe.

Wouldn't have made a difference if his kit was shiny and new. The NSS is the only track in the country that Richard struggles on hence why he doesn't even bother competing in British Finals.
-
If Mayfield drop Hellstrom-Bangs for Jonas Jeppesen then Ipswich will become serious contenders for the PREM title imo. Hate to be harsh but tonight told me everything I need to know about how Hellstrom-Bangs is going to cope on British tracks, If he can't score well from reserve around the NSS then he won't do much anywhere imo.

Zagar did score 10+1 and 11 on his 2 visits to the AFA last season so I'm not sure B. Cook is a gift tbh, Could very well come down to the Heat 15 picks. Agree on Klindt and Brennan on the OVERS as they should get enough rides to hit double figures.
-
Lawson & Nicholls @ No.3 & 4. I admire Paul Hurry's faith in Scotty but neither of them have a liking for the NSS. I would've gone -> 1. Brennan, 2. Nicholls, 3. Lawson, 4. King, 5. Musielak

Think we're going to struggle big time in this one, I think Scotty Nicholls will struggle to score a point against any member of Belle Vue's 1-5, Always struggled around the NSS apart from one meeting and that was a good few years ago as well. Lawson's not a fan either so I think the Aces could put up 60 here.
