  1. It's a stir the pot theory. It wouldn't cause havoc across the League as it only means that Belle Vue will have to use Lidsey instead of Kurtz. Higher Ups have to do everything to make Northampton as competitive as possible after the money it's cost to get them up and running. No logic in leaving them looking like the 2025 Oxford Spires as Northampton will need a big name rider to entice fans to turn up. One has Brady Kurtz and the other has Tai Woffinden and all 6 Clubs have One Rider on a 8.00 GSA.
  2. Stir the pot theory seeing as a lot of names are being branded today in regards to potential No.1's. Belle Vue haven't announced Brady Kurtz. A very late U-Turn has happend where a One Rider Over 8.00 Rule has been introduced at PREM level to ensure that Northampton are competitive instead of being the 2025 Oxford Spires due to the amount of money it's cost to get them up and running. Mayfield Sports have made a late move for Brady Kurtz with Norfolk lad Olly Allen as Team Manager. Tai Woffinden to Northampton with Pete Adams because it's a shorter distance to travel for Pete and Tai is like a Son to Him. Belle Vue sign Jaimon Lidsey in a Double Change when upgrading one of Peter Kildemand or Tate Zischke. Nobody is left empty handed and everyone will be competitive.
  3. I'd go one better this time and get Tom Skinner to do the PREM KO CUP Draw BOSH!
  4. Got to feel for Simon Lambert. It's a bit like Ant & Dec revealing the Bush Tucker Trial votes to the camp on I'm a Celeb where everyone is praying that it's not them.
  5. Of course they will. They've just had some bad news that the PREM has been strengthened when they were hoping for a total collapse. Credit to everyone involved when it comes to Northampton, I hope they have a competitive 1-7 and healthy attendances to go with it.
  6. Anyone else expecting a tail end of Jeppesen, Jenkins and Edwards? Has to be a reason as to why Jeppesen's not been announced by another PREM Club on that bargain of a GSA imo.
  7. Lindgren hasn't signed a contract in his home country so the 3 League Rule wouldn't hinder Mayfield if they did want to make a move for him. Loads of rumours are doing the rounds at the moment but I'm sticking with Woffinden though because of the GP Wildcard Pick.
  8. Things are looking up. I wish Northampton all the very best and I hope it works out well for them.
  9. Thanks. That's far too much travelling at Pete's age just for Home Meetings imo, Looking at around 6 Hours from Telford to Foxhall and back. Would be much easier travel wise for Pete to become the TM at Northampton imo assuming they come to tapes.
  10. Best to keep it that way tbh as your feathers would only get ruffled again.
  11. Pre-Christmas rumour was the Wolves Trio and it's still possible, Just without Becker. One half of Team GB's Managers working with 2 of the eventual 4 Team GB World Cup Squad is also very likely imo and it's beneficial for Team GB as a whole if Olly Allen can work with Tom Brennan in the run-up to the World Cup. I'm not sure where Pete lives but Wolverhampton to Ipswich would surely be about a 3 hour journey where's Olly Allen is a Norfolk lad isn't he?
  12. Hence why I refused to criticise Chris Louis throughout the sale process despite how frustrating it's been this winter due to a lack of news. It was always worth giving Chris the chance to stay true to his word.
  13. Charles Wright's interview in the Speedway Star will be worth a read.
  14. If Tai gets a further 8% Discount and Jenkins another 25% Discount. It's British Speedway after all where the rules get made up as they go along half of the time so never say never. 1. T. Woffinden 7.77 (10.5% Total Discount from 8.67) 2. R. Tungate 5.89 3. D. King 6.50 4. K. Rew 6.19 5. T. Brennan 7.05 6. J. Jenkins 3.46 7. J. Edwards (RS) = 36.86
  15. I wasn't sure on King at Ipswich due to the Becker rumour as I knew that Ipswich couldn't have Brennan, Becker, King and Rew as well as a No.1 due to the points limit. But after hearing the Becker news, It's a no brainer to go 3. King, 4. Rew and 5. Brennan as it's the strongest possible option when it comes to riders who are reliable scorers around Foxhall. I assume that Northampton will go 2. Kerr, 3. Riss, 4. Wright and 5. Lawson or something along those lines.
  16. Assuming the Pre-Christmas rumour was true just like everyone else, I do have worries in regards to Tai's recent injury record but what I will say is this..... Tai isn't like most other riders and he's the most strong minded rider in our Sport imo, No matter how many bones he breaks, No matter how many surgeries he has, He keeps coming back for more when he doesn't even need the Money. Could easily have called it quits after last year but Speedway is in his blood and it's his passion to a point where he simply can't walk away from the Sport. Tai may have some dodgy performances and some hit and miss scores but you'll know that it won't be through a lack of effort. He'll give it 100% every time he takes to the track because if he didn't care then he would've just retired.
  17. I'd say Tai will be given an 8.00 Average. Woffinden's current GSA after 2.5% Reduction would be 8.45. But will get a further Reduction on that for being injured for a full season, Say another 5% Reduction which would take it down to 8.03 so the higher ups may as well just hand Tai an 8.00 average.
  18. Just a case of who imo. Woffinden or Lambert would be the most likely names. Fully expect Brady to be back at Belle Vue but it's taken an awfully long time for them to announce him but that's the longest of long shots imo.
  19. Am I supposed to care? I'm just laughing at how a little bit of truth telling by myself has caused you to have a full on meltdown that's on course to last a full 24 hours.
  20. Waiting patiently for months hasn't been ideal but it could've been a whole lot worse.
  21. If the Lambert rumour is true then we've got 5 of the World's Top 8 (GP 2025 Standings) over here this year. That's pretty good considering we've only got 5 or 6 Teams in the Top League during these tough times. Wouldn't be to British Speedway's benefit if we were to prioritise Foreign Youngsters over our top end British Youngsters tbh. It's the higher ups job to invest in riders like Dan Thompson, Leon Flint and co. at PREM level by making sure that they aren't being left without a Team place. Polish Leagues to bring on the Young Poles and the same goes for the Swedish and Danish Leagues when it comes to Swedish and Danish Youngsters imo. The owners are already paying for the Big Names so I guess it'll be business as usual for them, Just sign whichever ones who are the most reasonable when it comes to negotiations.
  22. Even more reason to appreciate the financial hits that some owners take in order to put on the best product possible for the fans during these tough times. We've currently got the vast majority of the World's Best GP Riders (Zmarzlik's challengers) competing over here on a MON & THU Night and yet some fans just want to complain about it 24/7. It's ungrateful imo.
  23. Good for you. I'm not the one who advocates to bin off the Top Tier that'll take away the vast majority of income for the Best of British Riders. I'm not the one who's ungrateful by moaning non-stop in regards to Club owners spending an X amount of £ on top riders with an intention to put on the best product possible for the fans. A reason as to why Scunthorpe fans prey that Simon Lambert doesn't sign for them every year, Nobody wants to mention that though as it doesn't fit the narrative. If NDL was as good as some make it out to be then the attendances wouldn't be so bad due to a severe lack of interest in the product. I can go on and on, But I cba because I've got better things to do.
