Etheridge impressed me tonight. Him and Perks at reserve sounds exciting.

As somebody that has switched from lakeside to Rye I have to ask myself several questions: 1. Journey time - Rye is 15 minutes further. 2. Cost - Rye is cheaper than Lakeside (last year) for admittance and program 3. Officials - Rye staff always seem happy and part of a team 4. Promoters - Huge respect from what they are trying to achieve at Rye and I just cannot trust Cook ever again. To much negativity and talking rubbish. 5. Viewing - Much closer viewing and plenty of seating at Rye 6. Weather - Rye stadium is much better protected from the weather 7. Atmosphere - Positive atmosphere and sense of belonging at Rye. The opposite at Lakeside 8. Racing - Maybe its the better viewing but I think the racing is better at Rye. The comments following the TV match were very positive. Before anyone says where is your loyalty, well that will always be for Waterden Road. So will I be back, Nope.

Lakeside V Mildenhall - Friday 25th August.
KevtheRev replied to tocha's topic in National League Speedway
If that was the case then why did John Cook state that was the reason Lakeside were dropping down to the National League? -
Rye House V Kings Lynn / Kings Lynn V Rye House

Holy Crap - That's a lot of meetings. I would hope a deal would offered to tempt people - more so that the £12 for Mondays TV meeting. -
Rye House V Belle Vue 16/08/2017
KevtheRev replied to JamesM09's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Have to agree racing was poor last night. It seems to have got worse the last few weeks. Had to move from the back straight as it was so dusty, more water was needed. The time it was taking to grade the track took almost as long as the 4 heats in between. Wouldn't have minded if the racing was top draw but it wasn't. Still a good crowd in attendance and I liked the centre green announcer, especially the humour. Looking forward to a good few meetings over the next 3 weeks. -
Yes of course it is 😂 Clearly obvious that you statements are well thought out and truthful
-
If that is correct then he's either sh1te stirring or blind as a bat. There is more dirt on the Rye track then either Lakeside or Kent.
-
Yeah really FFS. I read that and thought what a twit as I imagine most people did. But hey if you want to think otherwise you go ahead.

Having been going to speedway since the 70's one thing I'm not is star struck about speedway in the UK. Ive been to all but one this season and I never said it was wonderful but It's better in every way than Lakeside.

Seen a few digs on twitter and now these messages having a pop at Rye House. Seems the negativity continues to grow at Lakeside I went yesterday and not the greatest track, but checkout You-Tube and see Heat 1 between Kennett and Harris! There were a few good heats. Facing a team that hadn't been beaten for 10 matches and lacking match fitness there was only going to be one winner. I'm pleased to say I'm enjoying my speedway. After the previous several years that is a god-send. It's a better stadium. There is much better viewing. The atmosphere is better. It is cheaper than last year. Maybe it's the better viewing but the racing is better. There is no contempt for fans - withholding information, making false promises or lying to fans. There is a sense of belonging and Steve Jensen seems a genuine guy.

Masterful display by Swindon, as for Rye - oh dear😯 even managed to muck up the TR with some crazy riding.looking very rusty. As for Barker well what waste of space.he just looks like a rusty sheriff's badge
-
So you going to apologise?
-
So if it's rained off, then presumably it will be announced as a walk over for Birmingham - seeing as Lakeside have no dates left??? What a joke. They don't want to run more meetings as it will cost them money. As has been said time and time again. You're been lied to and taken for mugs Lakeside fans. Unfortunately you are not alone.

Way to treat your fans Cook.

14/6/17 Rye House V Belle Vue
KevtheRev replied to cityrebel's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Heat15 had disaster written all over it. Robbo was one of the best riders on show, but not known as a gater and shouldn't have been selected. Then even worse was Kennett. Had to be help by Robbo in his heats to get points and known for being a choker under pressure. -
Looking at the pictures on twitter, crowd look quite poor and that was an improvement - oh dear!

Rye House V Leicester... Premiership... 1st May, 2pm
KevtheRev replied to Shadders's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Not only impressed with Danny Ayes, but also Kim Nillson. Rode like a strong number 1 and his battles with Scotty were great viewing. Glad he moved away from Lakeside and continued to improve. -
Rye House V Poole 22/4/17. 7pm.
KevtheRev replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Given Davey's previous dubious scores against Poole, his current form and his own confession that he loves Poole, would rather he wasn't riding. NBJ seems a no brainer to quite a few people. -
How about NBJ and Lewis BrIdger as replacements? Bridger's average should come down a bit I would expect after the start at Berwick. He could be key in the Prem.

Simon Wigg Or Kelvin Tatum?
KevtheRev replied to scottyfan's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Both great riders, but Tatum gets my vote. I have a slightly tainted view on Wiggy. The year he road for Hackney in 1987, all he did was moan and his heart wasn't in it. Turnde out to be a nightmare of a year and Hackney dropped down again. -
The Program at Lakeside was terrible. Apart from the race card, what did you get: 1. A page of JC comments. 2. A page with Tatum's comments. 3. A fixture list and handful of photos that you can get online 4. Pages and pages of adverts Not good value whatsoever

We've never met, though I think I would recognise him from his previous role :-) I have no doubt he can stick up for himself, but wanted to wade into this debate as I think he came in for some harsh and uncalled for criticism from a handful of individuals, plus one certain person who thought it was OK to have a pop at a forum because it only had 43 members.
-
As they said themselves - their post says a lot about them ;-)
-
A tongue in cheek comment like that , does it really? Does it tell you the hours of work and effort he used to put in voluntary to help run things at Lakeside? No thought not!

Everyone was saying that Neil was a nice bloke including VOR. His ability to carry out the Team Manager was bought into question. Your constant slating of VOR and anyone else who dares to post a negative comment is quite tiresome.
