Lawson versus Harris; a clash of the titans. Shame it’s at speedway’s equivalent of a sleeping tablet, Wimborne Road. Worth noting that as a Glasgow fan, that was an outrageous decision to warn Lawson as well as Harris. Another woeful refereeing decision from that young lady. -

I’ll be pleasantly surprised if we’re competitive, but can’t see beyond a comfortable home win. Being reliant on two guests is far from ideal. -
The cloak and dagger statements from both the BSPA and Workington leave you with more questions than answers. What I do know from working closely with Global Mobility functions regarding the sponsorship and distribution of visas (both in the UK and abroad) is these ”administrative issues” mentioned are an inexcusable oversight and to be honest, elementary. Workington‘s choice of words shows they know that. British speedway does it again. A total shambles.

53-37, Tigers win. I’m in London for work, so had hoped to catch the meeting on a live stream, but don’t think the club has one. -
A professional performance here from the Monarchs, although that 5-1 keeps Oxford’s hopes alive. I’m surprised by Luke Harrison. I’ve been impressed each time I’ve seen him, but he’s well off it tonight. Probably an example of where guests just don’t have the same impact as the riders they replace. Replaced here.

Spot on. It’s painful how British speedway is frequently compromised. Once again, Oxford fans are witnessing their side not at full strength. They - and the rest of British speedways followers - deserve better. Who knows what the solution is? In most other industries, including other sports, they’d draft in a consulting body to evaluate challenges and implement improvements, like a KPMG, Deloitte, Accenture, etc. However, I doubt the SCB have that sort of capital. Speedway taking place at Oxford and it being live on BSN are two huge positives, but long/short term, the sport is facing longevity issues.

Looking forward to this. The availability issue Oxford face definitely weakens them, but I understand a few of those Edinburgh riders have never raced the Cowley circuit, so who knows? I said it after we beat them at Ashfield; that Edinburgh has the potential to do damage. Palovaara was a genius signing and him moving into the main body of the side now affords a more “established” rider a less pressured role in the team. An Edinburgh win for me tonight, based on Oxford’s reliance on guests and the Monarchs’ strength in depth. Love that speedway is back at Oxford. I know it’s been a few years now, but the sport needs positive stories like that of the Cheetahs.

What an interaction.😂 Do you mind if I go back to constructively discussing the topic with adults? I’d prefer not to engage in your low IQ nonsense.

Let’s revisit what I said: Let’s see what I was referring to: You can’t even get being a smartarse right.😂 Thick as sh*t.😂

A special mention has to go Ashton Boughen who was a victim of his own success. To find yourself in the main body of a Championship side at 17 years-old, having only taken up the sport three years ago, is remarkable progress. Seeing him almost lap (exaggeration, of course) Chris Harris at Ashfield last season - less than three weeks after his 17th birthday - was the biggest “giant killing” I’ve ever seen. Bigger than Powell versus Hamill and Hancock at Shawfield in ‘95. I think @IainB was spot on when he said Boughen is trying to run before he can walk. Fortunately, he has time on his hands and lots of it to fulfil what is evidently a huge amount of potential. All the best Ashton.

😂😂😂 Let’s ignore the several comments that I’ve already ridiculed - ”Leon was gutted” and ”things weren’t helped by the amount of shale caking him and his bike” - and let’s point out another. You said he changed his bike and felt comfortable, including in his fourth ride. What happened in his fourth ride? He was on the arse end of a shock 5-1 against Edwards and Starke.😂 Honestly wee man. Stop talking. You’re making a fool out of yourself.😂

We need a Tarasenko-esque signing.
