  1. I haven’t even mentioned the big, thick blue lines that have appeared on the first and second bends since heat two.
  2. Heat thirteen and it’s the first exciting race of the night. If this meeting is was taking place in my back garden, I’d close the curtains.
  3. Look at the state of this. It looks like someone’s let off a flare, it’s so dusty.
  4. Blobby, you’re an Edinburgh fan and I’m a Glasgow fan, so enjoy the nick of us here. We should be pointed at and laughed at. Please, however, don’t tolerate, never mind excuse this track. Trust me; it will play its part in the death of the sport in this country. This is the third meeting BSN have covered at Wimborne Road this season and it’s been the same dull, boring, stale, lifeless, monotonous show every single time. This isn’t unique to this evening.
  5. Heat eleven and we have the second pass of the evening. What a spectacle.
  6. Seventh heat, first pass after lap one. Only the second pass of the night, the first of which came on the first lap of the same heat. The Thompson twins look terrified on this track.
  7. This is absolute brain damage speedway. Let’s hope there’s no first time viewers because as a spectacle, this has been utter rubbishe. Six races and the only pass beyond the back straight of lap one was Lawson’s questionable one on Hodder. Such a poor meeting in terms of entertainment. I remember Poole used to host the SWC; it was outstanding. What happened?
  8. Lawson versus Harris; a clash of the titans. Shame it’s at speedway’s equivalent of a sleeping tablet, Wimborne Road. Worth noting that as a Glasgow fan, that was an outrageous decision to warn Lawson as well as Harris. Another woeful refereeing decision from that young lady.
  9. Cami’s needing to stick some sun cream on that face.
  10. I’ll be pleasantly surprised if we’re competitive, but can’t see beyond a comfortable home win. Being reliant on two guests is far from ideal.
  11. The cloak and dagger statements from both the BSPA and Workington leave you with more questions than answers. What I do know from working closely with Global Mobility functions regarding the sponsorship and distribution of visas (both in the UK and abroad) is these ”administrative issues” mentioned are an inexcusable oversight and to be honest, elementary. Workington‘s choice of words shows they know that. British speedway does it again. A total shambles.
  12. 53-37, Tigers win. I’m in London for work, so had hoped to catch the meeting on a live stream, but don’t think the club has one.
  13. I can’t disagree with that. A patched up Oxford side gave a strong Edinburgh side a scare, especially with those back-to-back 5-1s. Really surprised by how poor Harrison and Scott were.
  14. Killeen was outstanding, but he definitely buys his race suits from build-a-bear.
  15. Well done to the Monarchs. Big win. Credit where it’s due to Kyle Thomson who rightly came in for some criticism at the beginning of the season; his last heat pass has just secure Edinburgh the win.
  16. What a ride from Killeen. Nowhere near good enough from Castagna or Sedgmen. You’re fuming if you’re the Edinburgh manager here. Your second and third heat leaders, plus captain in the last two heats; both of which end in 1-5s. Fair play to Oxford.
  17. A professional performance here from the Monarchs, although that 5-1 keeps Oxford’s hopes alive. I’m surprised by Luke Harrison. I’ve been impressed each time I’ve seen him, but he’s well off it tonight. Probably an example of where guests just don’t have the same impact as the riders they replace. Replaced here.
  18. ”Victor Pavlova” is superb from Dan Gilkes.😂 I quite like him on commentary. Insightful.
  19. Spot on. It’s painful how British speedway is frequently compromised. Once again, Oxford fans are witnessing their side not at full strength. They - and the rest of British speedways followers - deserve better. Who knows what the solution is? In most other industries, including other sports, they’d draft in a consulting body to evaluate challenges and implement improvements, like a KPMG, Deloitte, Accenture, etc. However, I doubt the SCB have that sort of capital. Speedway taking place at Oxford and it being live on BSN are two huge positives, but long/short term, the sport is facing longevity issues.
  20. Agreed. Not so much as a discredit to Berwick, but they’ve (Poole) done it again, haven’t they? They’ve built another formidable side. I wasn’t worried by their team building in the winter, but I was so off the mark. Add Cairns to that side and they’ll wipe the floor with most sides.
