  2. I’m surprised the amount of people moaning about Chris, more frustration should be aimed at your own promoters, if they could actually run a speedway club like Chris then we wouldn’t be in this situation. It’s not really his fault others have failed. A fair few people on here happy to makes their voices heard but not so keen to actually go to their local speedway club every single week and back your boys, maybe that’s a bigger reason why the league has fallen along with poor promotion? Or maybe Chris calling it a day because he didn’t want to entertain one league has upset people because now the domino effect happens and your club will be next. Bigger issues in British speedway than Chris leaving the club, maybe focus on them.
  3. Yeah what’s that got to do with SGP 😂 they take into account the club riders vs TV deal and ticket sales for the league, SGP wasn’t profitable for them. I know it’s hard for anyone from British speedway to get a grip of not going under due to finances 😂 and yes… stal almost did! Haha
  4. Statement from the city of Gorzow as to rising costs and unfair system where smaller speedway cities such as Prague / Riga etc are demanded much less of a payment to SGP than “larger” speedway cities. Gorzow decided to relinquish their GP this year to get finances in order… “Councilors pointed out that Praga paid less to host the Grand Prix than Gorzów. They believed this demonstrated that the rules imposed on cities were not equal. "If Praga pays less than Gorzów, something is wrong. This demonstrates the absurdity of the entire system," the councilors said. In 2024 and 2025, the city donated PLN 2.5 million each to organize the Grand Prix at the Edward Jancarz Stadium, and in recent years, a total of nearly PLN 10 million has been spent on the Grand Prix. This difference in costs, they argued, demonstrated that the conditions imposed on cities were not transparent, and that smaller cities could be treated as "budget donors." Councillors admitted, however, that the absence of the Grand Prix in 2026 could be a financial relief for the city. Perhaps this is the time to clean up and resume talks, but under normal conditions. They pointed out that the Grand Prix was becoming increasingly expensive, and new promoters might demand even more. Councilors said that Gorzów should not abandon major events. They pointed out specific directions. The councilor mentioned the Edward Jancarz Memorial, which for years was the most important tournament before the league's launch. Piotr Paluch emphasized that the city could return to speedway events, but must do so in a way that doesn't burden the budget. "Normal rules first. Only then should discussions about a return," concluded Councilor Piotr Paluch.
  5. Quite possibly, I don’t know if I’m totally honest so you could be right.
  6. Interesting news coming out of Poland! They are reporting high potential of Guy Nicholls taking over and that’s the reason behind him pulling out of sponsoring Sheffield.
  7. Belle Vue, Leicester and Kings Lynn fans will of course be mad. Chris has single handedly stopped the Prem from running next year clearly and you three teams will have no option but to drop down or sell 🤦🏼 , I don’t expect any good words from anyone apart from Ipswich fans!
  8. And you still wouldn’t turn out for the “qualifiers” 😂
  9. He considers Fram as his home town though and not Halifax.
  10. The whole team basically saying farewell is a pretty sad situation.
  11. Something seriously wrong with this comment… “if only it could have lasted longer”. Everyone wants the truth but we will never get it.
  12. Any outside chance, for the short term, would Jake Nicholls step it to promote. I know he goes often and he is running his own section of his Dads business now. He is close friends with Dan Bewley who rides in his dads back garden MotoX and he knows Adam Ellis and Doyle really well… totally out of the box comment I know but just to keep Ipswich going as they live here too?
  13. Disappointingly, Ipswich is probably the best run sporting town at the moment with the witches and Ipswich town football financially sound, I think that’s why everyone is so shocked and disappointed. The town was going through some kind of amazing high if you also include Fabio wardley.
  14. It’s not an insult, it’s light banter 😆 you insulted Chris, that’s the only reason I felt I had to speak on his behalf 😂!
  15. What I write about my Polish club comes from the club so it’s more factual based than opinion so that’s really not an insult 😂 shout me out if you want, I’d love another 15 people in the world knowing about me 😉
  16. You’re an idiot writing this and not having any facts although you often claim to know many. Do you know his personal situation? do you know his financial situation? Do you know if Ipswich can afford to run in one league with a watered down team and without TV money but still having to pay Spedeworth every time they use Foxhall stadium whilst not having the pull of the fans if they have to dismantle their team? If not, don’t call people spoil brats. You say you have a voice on a podcast now and then, but sometimes talk crap so it’s concerning.
  17. Speedway needs to prosper, I’m not on here to have any arguments… I want speedway to have a bright future. The main thing I’m frustrated about is the lack of communication from BSPA on any matter, they are sitting silent and us fans left in the dark. That’s very poor from them.
  18. Instead of being a smart ass write better explanations then… you didn’t write “should” you wrote it as a statement that they pay what they want and it’s take it or leave it, it’s not my problem I can’t understand your poor English.
  19. You completely contradict yourself, one moment “They pay what they can afford and the riders take it or leave it” then one second later “promoters paying excessive wages”. Work that one out then explain it back to me.
  20. If the premiership falls it will be a domino effect for the championship thus NDL so be warned. That’s all I’m trying to get at, many people on here seem blind to that fact and don’t understand how riders manage to ride in the championship because they get paid from prem clubs too, championship clubs will need to increase the riders salaries and that’s where the real problems will start to come. All of a sudden you have one league that will be in the same mess as the Premiership. But people are obvious to that fact, and just think the championship is run better… it’s not the case.
