Forgive me for not believing hardly anything people write on here đ most people just want to feel important and in the know đ

What a stupid comment. So what are fans supposed to do? Fans donât buy clubs or invest in them, they support them, thatâs in essence the fan doing their part.
-
Remember when he said âwhen the town does well then so do the witchesâ Well, town are now second, and the witches donât have any riders, a league, or even a buyer. - IF the likes of Brennan, Rew, King, Edwards, Jenkins and maybe Ellis are all waiting to hear about Ipswich then how much longer can you realistically wait as a rider. Soon decisions will be made and Ipswich will eventually ride (or not) but we a depleted team and fans wonât be happy. You cannot then have comments about âat least we have speedway to watchâ because Louis himself said the club will be left in safe hands and good state, Iâm sorry but that will not be the case if the above happens.

Genuine question, would it be viable to build a permanent stand around the 3rd / 4th bend so that they donât have to spend tens of thousands for the temp stand, thus improving facilities and the look of the stadium. I know lots of people (including me) have light banter across the teams we support but if it is the home of British speedway itâs in the best interest for Britain to have an even better stadium, it would complete the look too IMO, just continue the stadium around the bend to connect the two stands, or is there reason they canât?

2026 Premiership is Go! - At least 5 teams
ShanoXtra replied to RoundTheBoards's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Play offs for promotion I understand, not for winning a league. Premier league is point and case, if you are the best over a prolonged period you deserve to be champions. That is simply facts. -

Totally understand that, my thought process would always be to run a league with no play offs, the reason the play offs bring in additional income is due to it basically being a mini tournament for the winners of the league, thus making the rest of the season void once you enter the play offs 100%. If you scrap the play offs, people surely would go the league meetings as every single match is one step closer to winning / losing the title. If a team runs away with it the supporters and other teams should just respect the fact they deserve to win it and no other team deserves a second chance (play offs) to try and it away from the most dominant team over the season. -

Surely if there are only five teams you could only do either of the two options, run the league as a championship so the final standing are the results and scrap play offs. Or if they are hell bent on some kind of play offs at least lessen it so for example 1st position gets automatically placed into the final and gets to choose where to have the first/second leg, and only 2nd vs 3rd races for a chance to play the winners of the league. I see no point in 1st-4th being placed in a play offs, personal opinion which may be an unpopular one, I donât know everyone elseâs feeling. -
If we make it into the new year and C.Louis and Ipswich speedway fail to have a buyer or provide any kind of update then itâs really time to say they have failed the fans. This kind of fiasco will overshadow last yearâs triumph if they are not careful.
-
Those last few sentences make me laugh, everyone should feel sorry for speedway promoters and we should never criticise them or tell them what we think is best, do you not think the biggest sport in the world, football, doesnât have the same for football owners? Majority of football team donât make a profit either incase you are unaware.

Nah never been allowed before⌠even a few years back when we won the cup it wasnât allowed. đ¤Śđź

Well Ipswich and Leicester were the only teams riding that night, Belle Vue were nowhere to be seen. And what point did I miss? Iâve had a great day, but thanks for your concern!
-
Get him to screen shot it and then you can post it on here as confirmation đ great news if that is true as we all want the sport to go to as many people as possible but they are large numbers to quote with no backing, Iâd love to stand corrected though!
-
True! Youâll have to finish higher in the league next time if you want to celebrate at home I guess đ Nice of Dan to drive 5 hours to celebrate with us though đđť top guy!
-
Fair play sticking to your guns and being insistent that Bewley would say. He clearly didnât mind having a dig at his own fans then for saying Ipswich celebrations are the best he has ever seen đ

Stay away in protest, deffo would be the nail in the coffin for me and I donât think Iâd forgive Louis either, even after winning the league, you canât do wonders like that and then claim âleaving the club in good handsâ and actually leave it in a sh!t show. Iâm an Ipswich boy through and through with speedway and football but this is becoming a joke and in all honesty turning me away from speedway. -
If Buster is involved in buying the club then sorry but for me Louis has failed the club, I feel let down by the poor media information given from the club as well during this period. Bitter taste in my mouth after such a great season, tarnished a legacy is a sad comment to make but itâs starting to really feel that way for me.

Imagine if they tried that last year! Imagine if Poole agreed to be the 8th team to race in the KOC and they got drawn against Sheffield, then imagine the mighty Poole getting cold feet and pulling out so Sheffield got a buy into the next round, just imagine if that happened⌠-
Why does Robert lambertâs name pop up on this forum so often when he was interviewed saying he wouldnât come back to British soil anytime soon. He even said he would never manage the British speedway team when his riding is done as he would be the owner and would make massive changes unlike people in charge now. He is a massive tool.
-
At this stage, if we did ride in 2026 Iâd be happy with this team if it fits the points criteria: 1. Brennan 2.King 3.D Thompson 4.Jenkins / Edwards 5.Rew 6.Ellis (if he rides) 7.Rushen
-
So basically the licence then.
-
Championship Witches would honestly be lucky to get 500 at the gate. If you think anyone would be excited to see Poole Pirates âAKA the best teamâ turn up with the likes of Lawson and Rowe as their big hitters and still expect you to pay ÂŁ20+ itâs a dream land / nightmare scenario and really shows the state of our speedway in this country vs anywhere else. Youâd be better closing the doors to British speedway altogether and start again fresh 2027.

What will 2026 UK speedway bring?
ShanoXtra replied to Lionsman66's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I guess Ipswich fans always turning up on a Thursday night shows there is more loyalty to that club than others who want to pick and chose their race nights to suit themselves (Friday/Saturday/Sun). Force everyone to race Mon and Thurs and letâs see who really has the most loyal supporters. -
You ever known someone who excels at their own job but the people around them are useless⌠I think everyone has and this is case and point, if a select few idiots are next to him and you have to have a majority vote it doesnât really matter what your title is. He ran the best performing speedway club in the country so he knows a thing or to about success.
-
If Ipswich do ride in one league next year what team is it? No Doyle and Emil obviously, no Dan T, Tom B as they now ride in Poland so wonât make the Fri/Sat or sun fixtures, Iâm sure Iâve seen Adam E say he isnât riding UK next year. So much uncertainty, Chris L probably saw this all coming and decided he canât work with this pathetic running of a sport and still no official announcement and once is it announced he will be left with the scraps.

This sport is an absolute shambles.
