Great racing, basically British speedway level riders involved and add a decent track (apart from bend 4) and a great atmosphere and you have a brilliant event in general. We need to get a better crowd into our stadiums. Look at Polish fans and tell me how many programmes you see people filling out! It’s my pet hate in British speedway. Doyley must be rethinking how much longer he wants to do this, especially with a young family now.

I mean imagine the investment they could give! Bigger tracks and stadiums with AC, 1000cc bikes 😂 Speedway GP Riyadh followed by Joshua vs Fury 2. Coming May 2027!

This was spoken about, they do have more equipment that was written online and they are investing in more, including a potential wonder wheel. Summer ‘27 the stadium gets some renovation but Mayfield have said they would pay rent upfront to bring that renovation forward. Nobody can say they aren’t trying!!! People also need to pay attention to what Me Rusko said, who it anyone doesn’t know, if a very rich man. When he speaks and tells the world that British speedway needs to be stronger then people must listen, he is clever individual and thinks outside of just his own club, he looks at where the future of speedway is and how to make is sustainable. When you then add that with the fact Swedish speedway is on the decline, like Richard said from 200 to 70, it really opens your eyes about not just opportunity for British speedway but the necessity to make this work for the global scale of speedway. In 5 years time maybe we will have promotion and revelation in our leagues, a lot to do before hand to build British speedway financially to make this viable but with sponsors and TV deals it could force the likes of Poole and Glasgow to want that dangling carrot of the premiership finally. Like Richard said, at the moment everyone is a bit too comfortable with how things are and nobody really wants to make drastic changes, but that is what will be required.

Ipswich win. We have been strong at home, Belle Vue aren’t the best at Foxhall and we will be under pressure to perform from the management. I can see Brennan getting 8+ on this one which will be great for him. Tobi isn’t a slouch round here so even if Doyley does ride it’s not a given Doyle does as well as people think. Scotty is decent at home. We have enough to see off Belle Vue although the bonus goes to BV in my opinion.

I think personally, and not speaking on anyone’s behalf nor was this mentioned tonight, but the likes of Belle Vue, Leicester and maybe King Lynn are with Ipswich… they see where this needs to go… let’s say some other clubs, especially in other leagues, like to just chug along and not worry about the sport as a whole, just personal interests. Which in turn, especially next season, might shock them into having to make a decision of what they want their future to look like. And I for one, am all for it. A shake up is needed, with some riders as well, not just the clubs.

Richard and Andrew are top guys. Speaking and listening to them and actually seeing they share similar concerns is such a positive thing to see, and that they understand the situation WE are in. And I say we because everyone on this forum is a speedway fan and this isn’t just a one up on other British teams, it’s a chance for us to pull this sport in the right direction. Let’s face it, people would be moaning if the same old same old was happening, it needs a change and these guys can actually do something about it. They can sit at a table and people can take note, they run a multimillion pound successful business in other sports, let them do their thing, give them time, and let’s hold our judgement until a few years time. British speedway in general should be happy this sort of stuff is taking place, and Ipswich fans shouldn’t be gloating about anything, we as fans should support other clubs too and try and really build this sport. OK maybe we won’t support kings Lynn but still 😉 I also like that they see a clear vision on what needs to happen, not just saying what people want to hear but speak clearly on what they plan to do. Ok, so go back to my post previous when I said it was full of juniors. I knew this before so how did I know this? This is not for argument, I know my facts which I try to share to people who have open ears and listen, you know your opinions so let’s leave it at that. You need to stop commenting on what Polish people think of their league when you literally have no clue and I do because I know Stal fans and about the club. I didn’t see you upload the Stal team tonight, maybe that’s what triggered you because you didn’t know it? Sorry but how do you know that ZZ would even have made them that much stronger when only Anders is a stand out rider? If you really want to know why Gorzow made that decision go do your homework on what happened before the Wroclaw SGP and why Gorzow were frustrated before this match even happened! You are commenting on things you have no insight to. You look at a team sheet only, not the entire situation. Other teams don’t always use ZZ, Ekstraliga made rules that you can have a squad, Gorzow used their squad. You are getting way too sensitive to this situation it’s weird. Jablonski is actually a good rider, maybe do some research on stals squad instead of slating it. He was bought for big money because they invested in him as a younger hot prospect but he was involved in a crash which resulted in a broken leg injury. He is still trying to get back to his level. So tell me now, how would stal have been so much better using ZZ? They drafted in Igor who is a very good young rider at 16 but rated highly and has been in the top 3 in junior events before. You comment about a team that you don’t have any info on, so maybe you just don’t get it. I have always kept people on this forum up to date with Gorzow because through Polish family I know some other parts of the club people may not, I don’t say I’m always in the know and just try to give people more information about situations they only read on media and then write false accusations on here, you can’t help some people as they always have to be right. If people chose to listen to me then I try to give information to inform people, if people chose not to listen then that is their prerogative.

Other clubs couldn’t care less, I think you care more about the Gorzow team line up than other clubs. If Gorzow lose and give other teams a better chance of play offs they are happy. Wroclaw were more surprised that Gorzow put up a half decent fight as most people would bought it would be a walk over. But Częstochowa are in the Ekstraliga because they qualified through the play down so what are you on about? This isn’t England when you choose what league you want to be in. I think you are just venting your own frustrations of the Polish league and trying to make out that your personal thoughts are valid through other Polish fans. Just say you are frustrated with the Gorzow team and be done with it, no Polish fans think like you. Two people got injured and missed the match today, Gorzow didn’t decline to race, they used their squad, what is your problem?

Why? Add another 8 or so points which they MAY have got and they still would have lost. Wrocław didn’t put their big guns in 14 and 15. Gorzow are happy with the performance.

@racers and royals FYI - the polish commentators just said it was a very good match and Gorzow did themselves proud and fought well. All Gorzow riders gave points and got on the score sheet which is a great team performance. As you wanted to know so badly how they were being criticised in Poland 😉

I thought you knew more about Polish speedway than you are showing tonight but maybe I was wrong. Gorzow fans knew the team before and if they decide to travel they cheer on the team, this isn’t British speedway where everyone likes a good old moan. Tonight has been some good racing and if you deny that that you haven’t watched much racing full stop. The fans always support the team, not just certain riders. Maybe you go and look at a Częstochowa match then think what you are writing tonight. Gorzow have performed better than Lublin last night and I didn’t see you worrying about the league in disrepute after that match! 51-39 is a respectably score, I think you need to relax a bit and stop getting irate.
