  1. Chris Louis to be greeted with another award next month I see!
  2. These championship team fans need to be careful what they wish for, saying their league is better than the prem yet if the prem didn’t pay the likes of Z.Cook, Lawson, Wright, King etc big money, thus helping them ride in the second tier, they wouldn’t have many good riders at all. Take out their riders who ride in the prem and it’s a pretty poor standard. Everyone can say Prem is better or Champ is better but the fact is Speedway needs to be better.
  3. All lot is true in this statement apart from the fact premiership champions Ipswich got more international publicity than Poole overseas.
  4. Lambert has no thought of coming back to British speedway until there are less meetings.
  5. Goes back to my point, massive cash injection needed for the prem to become a super league with just top stars riding but fewer teams. No point limit and acquire the best riders to build the best team and the fans would certainly benefit. 5 teams, 4 for the play off with the 5th team being relegated so every match counts. Promotion will be key for champ teams so they secure the big money injection of the prem. Just need to temp the Saudis 😂
  6. So what the Premiership needs, much like football, is a massive injection of money so riders don’t have to double up and ride in the championship. Then championship teams would be desperate to ride in the prem for money, but you then add promotion and relegation so you have jeopardy . That would be the catalyst for some good racing and more risk, bringing fans in as they would see some meaning to the meetings. Not this joke of any team choosing what league they want to ride in. A lot of championship fans on here comment “let the premiership run how it wants and we will do our own thing” so let that be the case. No doubling up, all top riders ride in Prem only due to money being bigger, and championship and NDL can do their own thing, see how many then want to make the jump up to the top league. The Prem should be the ‘promise land’ and all champ teams want to be in it, dilute their teams and league but limiting the top riders only in the prem and see how many comments change then, as all they want to do is dilute the prem to be their level of riders.
  7. Official collection of Ben Fund for 2025. Well done to all fans for giving this season. PREMIERSHIP Club Belle Vue £1,397.00 Birmingham £1,125.00 Ipswich £3,362.58 King's Lynn £1,043.00 Leicester £1,964.84 Oxford £1,203.89 Sheffield £751.00 CHAMPIONSHIP Club Berwick £1,885.00 Edinburgh £1,609.00 Glasgow £1,231.20 Plymouth £743.09 Poole £1,584.35 Redcar £732.96 Scunthorpe £900.00 Workington £916.50 NATIONAL LEAGUE Club Kent £603.00
  8. And drop who though? Out of interest, anyone think King might leave Ipswich now he mission is pretty much complete winning both cup and league?
  9. You often come with false news. I wrote before that they are riding next year. Let’s see who actually has facts.
  10. Think I’d rather see Rew and Ellis both than Musielak
  11. Nice to see British speedway recognising how brilliant the Ipswich vs Leicester meeting was produced and fan turn out, to remove the British Final Race (which was the best race in years) from the official British speedway homepage and replace it with the Witches winning the title and making it look very professional is a nice touch and shows the sport moving in the right direction, I think all fans who attended that meeting can attest to how amazing the atmosphere was and how the celebrations on the centre green was the perfect finish to the season and also to show how it can/should be done.
  12. Jenkins won’t be back at Ipswich next year I doubt, potentially not Emil either but we will see. Chris Harris already signed a contract so clearly he knows what the crack is about the leagues and it isn’t one big one!
  13. Yeah when his wheel went up there was a sudden inhale of breath from the “shed” stand I was sitting in, how he continued I don’t know, but even more impressive is that he still tried to hunt down the leader and it didn’t phase him! The way he rides and finds lines was far superior than any of the other riders and he wasn’t scared to throw it outside or inside when others held back. I’ve watched him for a fair few years and I’ve always rated him higher that Cairns
  14. The guys who are high 30’s in age must be breathing a sigh of relief that they don’t have to worry about the future of speedway! Speedway in Poland over the next few years will start to decline due to riders rinsing the clubs for money and it’s finally showing that clubs can’t sustain it. I heard one U24 rider wanted 1 million zloty to sign for stal, not naming anyone direct, but stal quickly said this shows the mindset of riders and what they think they can demand, and no the rider in question wasn’t someone worthy of 1 million zloty!
  15. Tai’s story is being sold with SGP not British speedway next year 😉
  16. How you including Rushen in the championship level riders? He doesn’t ride in the championship 😆
  17. The meeting was abandoned due to curfew. The pairs race does not officially stand, although Kev on the centre green said Ipswich will recognise the result. Cooper was who most people went tonight to watch let’s be honest and he didn’t disappoint, best moves made by him and best bike control when he almost ended up on the stock car track. To finish 2nd only to a Premiership rider isn’t a bad nights work. I’m sure Mr Louis will have his eye on him. Probably a crowd of 200/300? The back straight stand was almost empty with everyone choosing to stand on bends one and two which is normally underneath the cameras, or in the smaller start line stand, I was there so can’t say how it looked on TV. Ipswich held the best 2025 crowd last week (including Manchester SGP), tonight was more like our equivalent crowd for SoN 😂
  18. Another reason why Ipswich is well run, all riders very social with the fans and will stop and chat and take photos after meetings, not just in the van and go. Even Doyle and Emil who are too boys give a lot of time to fans. When Ipswich won the title I would bet if you speak to a lot of fans it was so positive because it’s like a family club and everyone has time for each other, win together and lose together.
  19. Gorzow city have agreed to become the guarantor of the loan. The club will receive a licence to operate under for the 2026 season as an Ekstraliga team. Official statements will be released in the coming weeks.
  20. Glasgow only recently uprated their air fence to accommodate the FIM they had last year was it? Might even have been this year, I can’t remember. I deffo saw an interview saying they had to pay thousands to update it to comply with regs, Ipswich would be the same. I’ve heard Chris Louis speak on how expensive the FIM uprated air fences are.
  21. The air fence isn’t that’s for sure. I know it’d be a fair few thousand to bring that up to the FIM standard.
