  1. Anyone remember 2023 play off final when it was woeful weather and downpour and that meeting was forced through. Sheffield got all those points back and didn’t mind riding that night.
  2. This is big Phil’s moment ! Sheffield out and Lynn with a return to the play offs 😂 can’t manage your own fixtures with half the season not riding at home then face the consequences! Didn’t this Shhht happen at Sheffield when other meeting at Lynn was called off the day before and everyone moaned but then people actually got to Sheffield, waiting, and got cancelled!
  3. Only meeting tonight available to watch live. LionTV £12.99
  4. I've heard through sources that Maksym Drabik has officially signed for Grudziądz for the 2026 season, this transfer will take place even if Rybnik stay in the Ekstraliga, he has no clause to remain at Rybnik.
  5. Apologies Kev! I thought you meant with one league, not with still our GP riders in it.
  6. Appreciate the response IainB! Clearly MikeBV didn't want to stand on any of his initial comments and reply glad someone did!
  7. So now we are suggesting we water our league down only to lose every match against Denmark and Sweden teams because they will have GP riders and we wont? Come on guys someone needs to have concrete answers or this is more farcical by the day.
  8. 2026 one league will (high potentially) remove the following riders from British Speedway: Doyle Emil Brennan Magic Tungate Bewley Kurtz Lidsey Fricke J. Holder Kvech B. Cook C.Holder - Potential K. Rew - Potential T. Musielak- Potential People in favour of one league need to start writing how to make this product work instead of naming problems of the current structure, everyone can moan about things but it takes a different type of person to come up with solutions instead of problems. One league - What nights are ridden for teams? How many riders in teams? Are teams still allowed to guest? How many teams make up the play offs? What is the play off format? Is the league split between regions? How much is a ticket? How do you promote a watered down league and keep the fans who only come to watch the best?
  9. I totally understand where you are trying to go with this statement and it's good that you are passionate enough to write it all out! I have a couple of comments on points you made with I think need clarification. 1. Is there an appetite for speedway, yes from people on this forum but a lot of people moan that people on the street do not even know what speedway is? This is due to poor promotion. 2. You comment about 2 big crowds, because of a BH meeting which I concur with as Ipswich had the same vs Lynn, but you comment about PCMM was a full stadium because of the top class field, so you are opening admitting top class riders brought in fans and also mention if this was a more common theme then more people, including yourself, would come to watch, yet you are still proposing removing top class riders and watering down the product to favour 1 league? 3. Running on a week night restricts crowds you speak of, but I've seen you previously mention speedway has a lot of competition in Manchester due to other leisurely activities, so now you are saying run it on a weekend where there will be even more competition? and when that fails you would probably use that same argument as to why its small crowds on a weekend plus speedway then having to fight against football on a weekend. 4. Running several pointless meeting as play offs are set it stone early could very well happen with one league as well so where does that improve the sport? 5. I totally get the guest fest issue and that is the main gripe for people I personally believe, but nobody has yet to mention that in one league what happens if you get two of your riders injured? Does this mean you can't guest? One league would need multiple riders signed who don't even ride weekly, like Poland, just in case people get injured so you have a full squad which is your team, otherwise you haven't moved the sport forward at all. 5. You say it costs you £50 for two people, which I agree is a lot, and you go to 3 or 4 meetings equalling £150-200, and if it is down to £30 you would 'easily' go to minimum 10 which equals £300+ so why don't you go to more matches this season and spend the same money? Also, are you watching every stream BVTV runs out of curiosity? 6. Your last throw away comment about 15mins of entertainment is typical dip in and out of speedway fan, in football, the ball isn't in play for 90 mins for entertainment, 40 mins are players time wasting and rolling on the floor or trying to play for time, in boxing people spend £60-£1000 to watch potentially 30 secs of the fight they want. Comments about the 15 min of entertainment shows more of that persons dedication to the sport than it does the sports itself.
  10. I'd personally say Adam is weak away from home this year so it could be an advantage, although I cannot see an Ipswich win. We just need to focus on keeping it close and doing well at home. We wont be facing Sheffield in the semis so use it as info for a potential final.
  11. Line ups confirmed for the meeting below. Adam Ellis RR but Ipswich hopeful for him to ride next week at home, if not, certainly for the play offs. Jason is now signed for the remainder of 2025 season due to Jenkins latest crash which has ruled him out. SHEFFIELD: 1. Jack Holder 9.14 2. Anders Rowe 5.83 3. Josh Pickering © 8.08 4. Nick Morris 6.43 5. Chris Holder 7.80 6. Jye Etheridge 3.34 7. Leon Flint (RS). Team Manager: Simon Stead IPSWICH: 1. Jason Doyle 8.42 2. R/R for Adam Ellis 5.88 3. Emil Sayfutdinov 8.38 4. Danny King © 6.64 5. Tom Brennan 7.09 6. Dan Thompson 5.42 7. Jason Edwards (RS). Team Manager: Ritchie Hawkins
  12. Ride with 6 teams it’s pretty simple. This year was only 6 teams anyway 😂 Birmingham didn’t do anything did they. And no relegation from the league so it doesn’t matter having 6. Less teams might be better, take the point scoring for match making away and let anyone get the best team then can with the most top riders. Probably bring in more crowds than more league teams just having one or two GP stars.
  13. If it’s a championship level and averages then Ipswich would probably say bye bye along with the supporters 😂 what a way to kill speedway in one swoop.
  14. If it does go to one league, I don’t personally believe it should or it will, but if it does, Scotty deffo riding for Ipswich! And king, Jenkins, Thompson, maybe Ellis. So just need cover for Doyle and Emil 😂 just a small gap!
  15. Admittedly I wasn’t and that sounds farcical if I’m honest having double points! I get the idea of it and how it makes meeting not runaway ones but when you come in fresh to speedway and look at the amount of random rules and regs its not that hard to see why people go to a few meetings then give up. I really just love the racing and enjoy it so it isn’t exactly a game changers for me just more or a frustration as to why someone gets a second chance at a meeting if they are dogSht to start with
  16. But you can make a substitute when you are winning as well and defend. Not just when you are losing. It’s totally different.
  17. I’d also go one further and say imagine watching Chelsea vs wolves and Chelsea go 2-0 up so the rules give wolves a goal to make it 2-1 and more interesting! The tactical sub for me is a joke. If you are behind in the meeting, it’s because you’re not good enough, you shouldn’t get another chance to get close.
  18. They don’t. 23-24 season on TV: Arsenal - 28 Tottenham- 26 Everton - 19 Villa - 18 Forest - 15 Palace - 13 Fulham - 9
  19. The interviews could deffo be better but that’s something to work on! Think they just need to relax more whilst giving them and let natural chat flow!
  20. Great team riding from Bewley to help Tate! I love how Belle Vue have all details, heat number and lap number and the 2 min countdown plus the riders live split. Just a couple heats early on they missed some action with not the correct camera angle but all in all this for me (BVTV) is better than BSN and TNT. I appreciate more info on screen whilst watching but just my preference.
  21. Imagine TNT doing the same for premier league. Arsenal vs Chelsea not on tv but Burnley vs Wolves is. Speedway is its own downfall sometimes.
