  1. This forum enjoys slating UK tracks (apart from Belle Vue) and the racing we watch. Yet Poland doesn’t always show great racing either or great track prep. Lublin have prepped for a dry track and like the manager of Toruń said in the break, the inside will be fast until they water the outside which they haven’t done as they are winning. If Ipswich do this everyone moans about the sport and how it’s dying in UK yet Poland does it and it’s ok. British just love a moan I guess.
  2. Yeah, they only really have Vaculik, Thomsen, Lebiediew and Paluch. Fajfer is far from riding like his usual self. Packing the remaining places with their under 24 Polish riders doesn’t cut it in Ekstraliga.
  3. Depends if they stay fit or not. Being an Ipswich fan also, I know all too well that speedway is a funny game!
  4. Us, Rybnik and Falubaz in the fight to stay up. It’s a format of bottom four play off to stay up.
  5. Brief story : The former president of last year for Stal was taking money from the club for his private business ventures. The fans were protesting last year for him to walk but he never did, he damaged the club with simple thing with the fans like changing the 5-1 celebration music and the traditional Kevlar colour (they looked more like Lublin last season). The fans and the president didn’t get on, after these protests and the end of last season he decided to fire Wozniak who was still contracted another year which annoyed the fans. He finally got kicked out the club after an internal audit was ordered by the league and 12 million was found taken and this is where the club were almost ended. Another president came in and the set up a ‘go fund me’ page (which I contributed to) and also ex and current riders auctioned off equipment and belonging etc to make sure the club could find the money to continue this season. Lebiediew was bought as a last gasp from the former president to try and show he was spending the club money and investing. At the time of uncertainty whether Gorzów would continue Miśkowiak fast made a decision to abandon the club and run to GKM, this is why Gorzów fans do not like him. Stal Gorzów raised enough money to continue from various sponsors and ventures and now have good money, the only problem they face is the league put a ban on them spending money due to the audit and issues that arose last year.
  6. The whole team are off, the former president broke this club, hence why they almost folded at the end of the season. Vaculik already signed for Lublin next season so he probably doesn’t care anymore and Anders has been actively looking for a new club as well. It’s a sad situation for the club.
  7. Only as a neutral it’s “thankfully”. As a Gorzów fan the referee should have made the correct decision to disqualify him.
  8. Should have a Grand Prix here at foxhall. This is the same “gate and go” as people mention for us 😜 Zmarzlik only one really looking like he would force a move on someone.
  9. All four back with nobody near him? I doubt that.
  10. What was the random drone shot of going upside down haha. Missing lambert overtake and focussing on fricke and madsen who checked out. Oh dear. They are trying to switch to too many angles in one race, I just wanna see all four riders in each shot so I can choose who to focus on!
  11. The last paragraph is far to true, to invest in YOUR team and then watch the same riders guest for someone else and help them is so backwards for a competitive sport. And I get it, riders need to make a living and all that jazz, it just doesn’t sit right with me. Nothing against kings Lynn, but I’m an Ipswich fan and to watch some witches riders guest for Lynn was weird. Imagine a Norwich player getting injured so town loan them a player to help out! It’s another reason why I don’t like the averages (but fully understand why for competitiveness), you build a team over years which you feel is yours then have to break it up just because you’re too good.
  12. Is this worth the travelling from Ipswich with such a depleted side. Tough decision!
  13. That’s so true though to be fair, as a PROMOTER surely you have to be good at promoting the sport as well as just your team. How much can it cost to even put signs around each city about the local meetings taking place. In Gorzów, before every meeting they have the Stał flags waving on all the buses and signs on every main entry route into the city. That doesn’t really take that much planning does it?
  14. Aggravated his reoccurring injury according to his social media. 2024 Ipswich witches returning by the looks of it ! R/R/R/R + guests !
  15. I think it’s the wise move right now, if he rode and only got a few points but made the injury worse again it wouldn’t be worth it. Rebuild and go again, I wouldn’t be over ally concerned if he missed the cup matches as well to give more time to recovery. Surely the focus is the league this year for witches.
  16. I always stated the track was fine to ride inside and outside, you spoke about the outside not working, and not everyone agreed with you. I said it is the dumbest thing I've seen on here, but if you want to take it as you got called a dumbass... I guess if the shoe fits!
  17. Agreed. The main thing is that he comes back fit and healthy, I saw reports this morning in Poland from the president of Częstochowa that Doyle complained of the same hip giving pain after the crash and also that Doyle himself asked to race as he felt no pain before the meeting, although the team said it might not be wise, but they let the rider decide. Either way it’s done now, just another road to recovery! Anyone heard news on Thompson as he is a big miss for us???
  18. All the riders would be in the country? I doubt that when a hand full of them rode in Poland today.
  19. I came up with the same conclusion as the referee so I’d be good at it plus nie lubię Falubaz. Tylko Gorzów Stal KS. If anyone thinks Doyle would purposely stay on a line where he’d get wiped out after still suffering injury then bigger fool them.
  20. If you jam it up the inside of anyone and wipe them out in doing so then you are the reason for the accident.
  21. Nope. IMO Doyle held a fair line which was tight and the room wasn’t there for Jensen, he just about got in front but he hit Doyle, so clearly he didn’t have enough room or he would have made the pass clean. Doyle had the racing line and Jensen was so tight he was always going to slightly drift.
  22. Jensen was at fault by staying inside line then pushing into Doyle when he got into the slide, Doyle had nowhere to go. Waved to the crowd as getting into the ambulance but yet another set back.
