  1. I would expect the Colts to be comfy enough but the Brummies have a few riders that can certainly challenge around the NSS and provide some good entertainment. If the downpour weve just had here (20 mins from the track) is repeated closer to tapes up the meeting could be in trouble, was like a monsoon, crazily enough its now fine?
  2. Something appears seriously amiss down there at the moment, perhaps a reaction to Ford coming out to publicly slate the team? In football parlance losing the dressing room. As for average manipulation don't buy that as most of these riders will be discarded next season, and if riders don't score they don't earn.
  3. After Holders slating of speedway in this country i would have thought this wouldnt bother him, he didnt have the courage of his convictions to walk away, the decision has been taken for him, bye bye.
  4. Whilst not being a fan of Chapman I support him in his actions, the powers that be need to take a stand against rider power before it becomes completely out of control. Those that would continue their appeasement to these whingers should realise the tail has to stop wagging the dog. These two plus the likes of Schlein are always happy to have a pop at speedway in this country, but are also happy to take advantage of riding here, that two now cant ride here they are still whinging, the old adage be careful what you wish for comes to mind.
  5. No Bjerre or Fricke seriously weakens us so not expecting too much, coming down for the weekend so hope the weather plays ball, always enjoy my visits to the OTA as well as sampling the good real ales in the Crossways Inn
  6. Rules are rules but somehow they always appear to impact on BV in a negative manner.
  7. Cost us against Coventry in the final when Bjerre was injured and only r/r available, could be a case of deja vu.
  8. The one thing we didn't need was agent worralls help, not with acting agent Bewley showing him the way round
  9. Also ironic that the man who gave away his silver SWC medal as worthless thus taking the shine off the other lads achievements did a lap of honour finishing 9th
  10. Agreed he has reached his peak, hope theres not a negative fallout from this and the SWC on Monday.
  11. Great meeting really enjoyed that, well done to Latvia and lebedevs they came to the party, I fancy the Russians in the race off and think the polish track will also suit the Latvians. As much as I always get behind our lads who represent us with pride I think if we were in this round we would have been out. Hope the final is a good learning curve for us.
  12. Fact is he has no interest in representing his country so that's irrelevant.
  13. Its going to be similar in the football world cup when they increase the teams, more third rate countries will mean more one sided matches, same in any sport.
  14. Bridger has no doubt wasted his talent, with the right application he could have been so much better.
  15. Yes the racing was very poor but at least the lads got the job done, overall it was more experiance that will stand the likes Of Stevie, Cookie, and Robert in good stead. I expect us to get well beaten in Poland but who else is realistically going to challenge the Poles? Again it will be a very good learning curve for these riders, yes Woffinden would strengthen the team but obviously his heart is not in riding for Team GB, i also thought last season when binning his silver medal it was a bit of a slur on the rest of the team who have never ridden at that level before, why undermine their achievment? Not really great for team morale at all, I stand by those whilst having lesser ability have greater patriotism, no big time Charlies. He himself disowned his place of birth as he obviously has not got that patriotic desire to ride for Team GB, and didn't exactly help promote speedway on these shores when opting out of league racing as a current world champion.
  16. But he dosent give a toss as he has no interest in riding for his country. I personally would prefer to go with the so called lesser riders that are proud to wear the union jack. All real Englishman, not a plastic version with the aussie flag tattooed on his back.
  17. If he recaptures the form that he did last season after a slow start.
  18. Funny that the person who stated the state of the track was just home advantage was one of the most outspoken when it came to our old track at Kirky Lane constantly giving it pelters, no one knew better than BV fans the state of the track at KL was poor, never thought of it as home track advantage though. We have a good side here but think Wolves still have the edge home form being the telling factor.
  19. Lynn will go well at the NSS we are more vulnerable at home think this could be difficult.
  20. Some massive home advantage, sneaked past Leicester, lost to Somerset, Struggled for most of the match against Rye, just edged it against Swindon, and Poole got a draw. We look more vulnrable at home than away, but thats the price you pay for having a track every rider loves to race on, we saw it with Hyde Road, and saw the other side at KL where every away rider dreaded as it was a pit.
  21. Dont have much luck in heat 15,s at poole this season. At least weve survived the track. Thought our doghole was bad but this place?
  22. I stayed at the Holes Bay B&B on Hamworthy Road good digs , not to be confused with the Premier Inn Holes Bay
