  1. Do what I do with him - put him on your ignore list! Looking forward to this years tour as ever - will you be joining them again this time Gary?
  2. I'll be watching! Come on Tim! (or should that be TOM?! ) and Neil!!!!!
  3. Nicholls does not deserve a place in next years GP series - end of! He should not be given a place just becasue he's british - the only GP which 'has' to have a British rider is Cardiff - and Nicholls can battle it out with Harris, Stead, Richardson etc for that spot! The GP's should be for the best 16 riders in the world - NOT one from each country then a few others! If we use that theory then Hefenbrock (current German Champion) and Laukanen (Finnish Champion) should also be in! They should look at the averages of the riders across whatever leagues they ride in and decide the riders from there! I realise this might mean Wolves losing PK for 2007 (as he has said he wouldn't ride in the UK if he was in the GP's) but at least the GP would be about the top riders!
  4. Our friends in Germany might be interested to see this video interview with Hefe at Wolverhampton last ngiht......... http://www.expressandstar.co.uk/video/spor...926_hefenbrock/
  5. Wow I really wish my daughter could avoid being a 'yam yam'and go to whichever school you went to!
  6. I don't particularly like either rider - I'm certainly not an Andersen fan but my point is that people see the behaviour of a foreign rider in a different way to a British rider - like it or not this is being biased. Fact is that niether rider was willing to give an inch in that race and, using your 'logic' they've probably both got 'what's coming to them'!
  7. Jen - So sorry to hear about your aborted trip - I missed this thread yesterday - but you would have been VERY wet and have to watch a Coventry rider win the final so some good came of it! Here's hoping you can get some sort of refund/compensation! See you on Monday!
  8. And Nicholls riding style and attitude is different? Talk about biased! I honestly think it was a 50/50 decision - bith riders were riding stupidly IMHO and it was always going to end with someone hitting the deck. I think the ref probably should have excluded Andersen but Nicholls was hardly and innocent party in the whole thing!
  9. I haven't read this thread but just wanted to say..............were the riders who were 'riding' in the slurry tonight really the same ones who complained about the state of the track for the ELRC and the GB v Sweden test match? Hypocrits!
  10. Hmmm - I'm not so sure.........is that 'Deliverence' I can hear?
  11. Pssst........Heathen till I die = Cradley Fan - nuff said!!!!!!
  12. Just heard this news via the SKY match....how very sad - he was only 3 years older than me!!! RIP Toni...........................
  13. I think he did 'make the most of it' but he was definatly hit pretty hard - hard enough to make him lose momentum and balance and therefore lose the vital 2nd place. The alternaive would be to stay on - ala B Pedersen in the race with Crump - and miss out or drop the bike and possibly get a rerun! I'm not saying this is right but the fact remains that it was Nicholls move which caused Zagar to lose his balance. The same was true of Iversen - Nicki hit him and he came off. What Tony Steele does (and I've seen him do it before in Britain!) is he uses the 'person on the deck caused the stoppage so is excluded' line! I think this is the easy option personally - it takes a lot more balls to exclude the person who actually caused the fall!
  14. I would think that questions will be asked anyway! After all he only missed out on the final because he fell! So if it had happened the other way round you would have been as happy? Come off it Phil, Nicholls knocked him off and was lucky enough to have a ref wearing a union flag shirt to give him another chance!
  15. Ahh - in that case I agree! Irony and sarcasm as the most difficult thing to portray on a BB!
  16. Yep another sport fan here Sue! My Dad always treated me as his surrogate son (I was the 2nd child and my big sis was the 'girly' one!) so I got taken to all the sports things with him. I was filling in my own speedway programme at the age of 6 and had a season ticket to Swindon Town FC at the age of 10! I'd love young Chris to challenge you and I to a sports quiz........then we'd know who knows the most about sport!!!!!!
  17. Not being there I don't know the answer but are you SURE they were ENGLISH Dekker?
  18. I've seen Lindback do the same though Stevie boy! The absolute best for this was Billy Hamill - he was the bain of our lives when he rode for other teams............strangely he seems to have forgotten how to do it this season!!!!!!
  19. Hmmmm - now what was it .....Oh yeah 'Support Team GB and show you're proud to be British'.......................................Not as long as people think that 'Supporting Team GB' involves that sort of behaviour thanks! Proud to be British?
  20. Well there we are then..........And people wonder why British supporters cheer for the Dans, Swedes etc - it so that they don't get associated with people like Felix and the idiots who drowned out the Danish national anthem with airhorsn and threw bottles at the Danes on the parade last night......proud to be British ................
  21. Well said you guys! We had all this 'we did well' rubbish in the Football WC! We were easily the fourth best team on the night - we were only gifted the bronze medal by Crump's fall. If you look at it, the other three teams were all weakened by injuries to key riders (PK not fit, Jensen out, Sheilds out) whereas we just don't have the firepower - those WERE our best 5 riders!!!!! I'm sure it's only the Brits who congratulate their sportsmen/women for being losers!
  22. Personally YES! I agree with the person who said Pearson is so full of his own importance - who CARES whether HE thought it was all 4 back or whatever - he's there to commentate on what's happening not treat us to the Gospel According to Pearson!
