  1. And the ones with just a CL average would be on big time bargain averages if signed in the PL. Auty, Aarnio, Wethers, Sam Jensen would all be good value reserves, but Kye Thomson would be my top choice.
  2. Going back in time there was Reading's1982 signing of Steve Gresham, which led me to cheer on the opposition when he was riding.
  3. I think it is an inaccurate statement. What he meant to say was "we didn't notice that issue 20 didn't include the meeting (it was after the Sept 23 cut-off) and would therefore be superceded by final green sheets that do include it."
  4. No, Brennan has not really got the hang of the NSS and a swap with Flint would seem a good move for all parties.
  5. Would BV consider going with a strong top 5 and take both Flint and Palin?
  6. And for me. With Kent closing my nearest track is now Poole - over 80 miles away. This news knocks 60 miles off that figure
  7. No. Less than 6.00 available using current averages but I think removing Eastie results will give the Lions nearer 6 1/2 to work with.
  8. Speedy promulgation of the Final averages after removing Ebne scores would be welcome. Apart from Kennett the other major effect will be the reduction of Leicester averages (they won at Arlington and tanked them at home in that final fixture farce)
  9. What can I say? Congratulations to all involved
  10. California https://maps.nls.uk/geo/explore/#zoom=15.522027806572527&lat=51.38242&lon=-0.87955&layers=193&b=1
  11. http://www.gbspeedway.com/2021/ridercareer.php?mc1=x&mc2=ta&mc3=pf&mc4=Scunthorpe Scorpions&name=Jordan Palin
  12. Current GSA (5.84) less the two Eastbourne matches gives 5.69 by my reckoning
  13. So conversion factor should really be about 1.25
  14. So unless there is a net inflow of top line riders that makes Jorgensen, Wright, Howarth and Steve Worrall heatleaders. Go to 8 teams and Kerr, Batchelor and Richie Worrall (5.36) would also be heat leaders
  15. What prevents them from being RS? Under the present rules neither are too good, too old or too experienced? I'd guess that Dan becomes a 3* and Joe a 2* , ( but that's assuming the rules evolve gradually, they could easily change completely.)
  16. A quick calculation would suggest 5.92 http://www.gbspeedway.com/2021/ridercareer.php?mc1=st&mc2=a&mc3=av&mc4=x&name=Tom Brennan Edit: I think Shield fixtures in 2019 counted, so make that 6.02
  17. There are better prospects than Wilbur Hancock in the States, don't be blinded by the name.
  18. Easy. The difficult bit is making it a system that works, is fair and helps develop young riders. So stand by for a botch job full of contradictions and compromises
  19. That depends on how many teams in the league. 42 is the starting point for a league of the same size. Assuming riders can't be magiced out of nowhere then the average has to go down if the league expands, but can go up if it contracts.
  20. Smederna were Swedish champions three years in a row without ever finishing higher than 3rd in any of the 3 seasons. (2017-19)
  21. Hardly conclusive evidence, Kent had already made announcements about 2022 and look where they are now.
  22. Nah, they are just extending the doubling up rule. When Oxo and Berwick meet the away team gets a guest.
