  1. No it was released on the SGP website at some point last week. Wed or Thurs at a guess.
  2. I have sympathy with Ellis's cause, he had no PL spot last year. With Kurtz being fairly useless and the Speedway chicane B*yawn*e Pedersen spending most of the year at reserve, he had a rough year. Being forced into the main team for most of the year. He rode well to attain the average he did without having a PL spot and only riding CL. He above all others deserves a reduction for riding over half the season in the main body of the team, I would give the likes of Clegg & Eliis (NL riders) a 3.50 average for the start of the next EL season. Surely his parent club Lakeside will offer him a spot. I'd take him over Bridger for sure. Newman has spent far too long being a match winning reserve, Ellis is 20, Newman is 24. Give youth a chance. Whch is also why I'd give Bates an average reduction rather than Sarjent. Although Sarjent annoys me constantly trying to jump the gate. I haven't seen enough of the other ELD riders such as Rose & Lewis to comment. Don't think Jacobs will ever achieve anything away from the NSS.
  3. No stupid draft for EL reserves. All British riders under 21 who held down a PL spot last year come in on half their PL average regardless of their EL average. If a rider had a EL spot but no PL spot so ride CL and is under 21, 3.50. Any new foreign new comers are 4.5. Any new comers or returners (after 2 years) who were selected for SGP or SWC event's in 2016, come in on 8.00 If a rider has ridden in the PL or EL but not in the previous 2 seasons. They retain their previous average only if they completed 6 recent (3 year) matches in the UK. Otherwise 7.00 if elected for recent (2 years) SEP, SGP or SWC events. 6.00 otherwise.
  4. I don't know. I have been to Swindon once, for some awful EL pairs event, I think Richardson & Ulamek beat Hancock & McGowan in the final. I could be very wrong on that. Wolves fielded Correy, who couldn't get around Cradley in his pomp let alone around Blunsden in after several years of retirement. Such was the level of interest. It was complete tripe. Personally, I think Doyle averaging 9.75 under current heat format is comparable to a rider averaging near 11 under the old heat format. And that matters? It is Poole after all. I can cope with Ellis being given a reserve spot on a 4.00 average (surely Lakeside will have him) but Starke & Newman are in the mid 20's and have no chance of being anything other than an EL reserve. They should not be allowed to be in any EL draft for the forth coming season on anything other than their genuine EL average. Kasprzak, Holder & Andersen = 7.91 + 8.58 + 7.15 = 23.64 Good luck getting them all to turn up for every fixture and finding point scoring reserves & second strings for such a team.
  5. Batchelor & Schlien appear to be on low averages for their ability, Lambert is only going to improve. Harris is a solid EL performer if you can sign him. Can you fit those in with a possible return of Bjerre? Would be a solid top 5, without a stand out #1 admittedly. I do worry about Schlien's health though. Is Lebvedevs an option?
  6. Over the course of a season, under this current race format do you think Adams (fantastic servant to every British League club that he was) would have averaged 9.75 as Doyle has this year for the Robins? Over 0.5 above any other rider and other than Iversen a point more over the likes of Holder & AJ? KK may well be better at Wimbourne Rd. But even on 0.7+ average I'd have Holder over Kasprzak every day. Question maybe can you fit both in? If Poole can they would have a powerful top two.
  7. http://www.speedwaygp.com/news/article/5312/holder-eyes-poole-stay suggests Holder stays with Lejonen
  8. Any announcements as to where the events will be held next season? Or are they waiting for the full GP schedule to be announced?
  9. If the riders you want to see don't turn up, there is no fan attendance at meetings Polish League 14 fixtures. Swedish League 14 fixtures. Why do we think 20+ fixtures are required? You wonder why they are more profitable?
  10. How exactly? Lindback was in the top 8 of the World Championship at the time he replaced Andersen. Milik and Madsen have never competed except as the Wild Card in such an event. Milik should return on his average attained at Kings Lynn last season, Madsen has not ridden in Britain for 5 years or more, has never been a GP rider and only rode in the SWC because Hans Neilsen is stubborn. Re-assessing his average to 7 would be harsh.
  11. If he is that expensive then I would agree. You would need Cook or Fricke to be able to beat the best riders in the world - well Doyle, Lindgren, Holder & Iversen when it mattered. Do you think they are capable. Or do you just go strength in depth.
  12. Ellis has kinda ridden too well, without having a PL side to get a place for next season coming in on a 5.7ish average. Which is fairly ridiculous. It would take an statistician with commitment to remove the the heat 2 scores from the averages of Bates, Howarth, Ellis, Newman, the Woralls et al. But I think that would be the fairest way to do it. By heat 12 if they are going to score points then they should. I mean have Kennett, Lawson, Bridger been at reserve for the odd fixture?
  13. As long as it is one rule for all that is fine. One could argue that Richie Worrall despite not being a EDR this season spent longer at reserve than Newman, his brother and a few other riders (Howarth springs to mind) this year such was the form of his brother why should he not also come in his PL average re-assessed also?
  14. But the continental riders don't. That format could be extended to have a home/away fixture between the teams in the different regions. That would be 16 home/away fixtures.

  16. Hasn't ridden in the UK since 2010 I believe, surely would have to be re-assessed.
  17. If you regionalise it, then each club riders each other clubs in their region twice home & twice away, that gives each club 10 home league fixtures. With shorter travelling distance (admittedly Ipswich or Kings Lynn to Somerset is still a heck of a journey) there is more chance that fans can travel away on a week night. Leaving the playoffs winner North v/s runner up South and vice-versa. If clubs are then guaranteed to face clubs from the opposite region in a re-introduced KO Cup competition it would make this more interesting. I'm not saying it is perfect, I'm just trying to find a possible solution to the problem.
  18. With no idea of points limit, the conference will invoke. Matej Zagar 7.48 Steve Worrall 8.98/2 = 4.49 Chris Harris 6.62 Anyone. Freddie Lindgren 7.2 Kyle Newman 6.61/2 = 3.30 Max Claegg 3.00
  19. With no idea of points limit, the conference will invoke. Matej Zagar 7.48 Steve Worrall 8.98/2 = 4.49 Chris Harris 6.62 Anyone. Freddie Lindgren 7.2 Kyle Newman 6.61/2 = 3.30 Max Claegg 3.00
  20. I would love to see. EL North Belle Vue Sheffield Wolverhampton Coventry Leicester Birmingham EL South Poole Kings Lynn Swindon Lakesdie Ipswich Somerset
  21. I think Leicester were spoiled having Doyle as #1 for their first two years, without any assets. Next year will be fun looking at averages. Lakeside & Swindon need to drop a few riders, bizarrely higher ranked teams don't.
