  1. Would it? Talk is cheap and always has been. At this stage of his career he'll go where the money and opportunity is. I'm sure that last year taught him that this isn't the Horton or Frost Panthers that provided both with him in the past. The mentalist is probably just being the idiot that he is but nothing would surprise me (apart from Panthers signing a top liner) at the EoES these days.
  2. Good to see that fixed race nights have done the trick by upping the quality, profile and returning of some of the top liners!
  3. It's all sounding really positive: making up the numbers with an indeterminate shelf life, a perceived small budget and it's unclear who does what? Hopefully it all becomes clearer in the coming weeks and there is a more positive outlook, as long as we don't ask Godfrey for advice of course!
  4. Although some bad decisions led us to our current destination so I wouldn't totally agree with that terminology.
  5. Tungate has said similar as you'd expect them all to do but the real situation, irrespective of what they say now, is: “I’m open to offers about racing in England in 2020 but I guess we are all waiting for the conference when they will determine the points limit and new rules.”
  6. And they would say: " Those were the days. Right, let's crack on! ".
  7. Same as kissing the badge on a football shirt. All it means is that they can coordinate their hand and lips into a single action. Give them a better deal elsewhere and they'll be kissing a new badge before you can say Ron Micklethwaite.
  8. It's all she said, he said and a bit boring now though. We only need to bother about where we go from here and forget (or at least not keep trying to make sense of it) about events around this time last year. Chapman said in Aug: "We have made mistakes along the way but they are honest mistakes and we will try to learn from them" - so after a dogs dinner of a season lets hope that statement is correct, as it is when Johnson says "No-one wants to finish bottom of the table and, as I promised the fans at the end of our final home meeting against Wolverhampton, we’ll be doing all we can to get into the play-offs next year."
  9. With. I wish no harm to Rodders but we're both like a dog with a bone when we're not happy about something
  10. Rodders, you're begining to sound like a bungee jump.
  11. Certainly is if he gets out of the gate but misses it with alarming regularity. Get that sorted and worth another punt but look elsewhere if that's a permanent fault.
  12. Don't we all, but rather infrequently. Especially in the summer.
  13. I didn't even remember that it was on, just saw some Twitter post I glossed over. Did anything interesting happen
  14. You've done it now Dick! Flappy with his team a day and Taps posting while under the influence of whatever noxious substance the local shop has in that day. Jeez, roll on March, assuming the correct decision was discussed last week.
  15. Can you understand a Sausage, Egg & Cheese Bagel please said in Danish? Good effort!
  16. Never heard that one but imagine that Mr Greer and co would have looked at anything that might have worked.
