  1. Very slap dash. As a pedant, I care about spelling although not so much with names. As you say, people generally know who's being discussed.
  2. Always worth the effort with me, saves a lot of grief
  3. He said stick you on ignore. Sounds like good advice Seems to have worked.
  4. I've had a word with Ged regarding your request and his reply went something like this: "I have got better things to do with my life than bother about what people are writing on internet forums. From personal experience I know how much nonsense and tripe appears on these sites. They are full of garbage and you can waste your life sitting reading it." - I told him that that was a touch unfair given that most posters are generally sensible, however, we agreed that you were an exception so you'll have to use the grey stuff between your ears, meaning that the meeting will go ahead as planned.
  5. That's as maybe but that's not the point. At the end of the day he's riding for Richie Worrall and not for Panthers with the same desire for the team to win as your own rider. OK it works out for much of the time but is not the same as having Harris who I'd say still flies more than we hope Worrall does. The key might be if Starke (who I like so it's not a real dig) realises that the meeting starts before his third ride, when he himself starts to fly.
  6. Guests are a gamble and rarely make you stronger. You're at your strongest with your own 1-7.
  7. True. There's not enough wine gums in the world for my purposes
  8. Not sure that Poland is ready for Fat Joe and Remy Ma feat French Montana and Infared. A class act though Holder is at the EoES, these maximums are doing my ears in. What a racket!
  9. It was you with the bloody bell. I threw most of my wine gums at you. You must have thought that Oxfam were the meeting sponsors
  10. Always seems a bit random anyway. Usually just sort of in line with the lighting post. Wasn't Heeps 4 & Ostrich 3? If that was the case then from some angles it could be deceptive but no different. Could just have a spot on the inside I agree.
  11. As the start is, as it always has been, 15 metres in front of me, I think that I'd have noticed anything significant. All I saw was the usual of little activity, blokes pulling the tapes down and 4 riders rolling up to tapes. Any time that we have a gates issue they usually have to find a programme to check who goes where, so to think that there was any pre-planned doctoring is fantasy.
  12. So you're saying it's 4th on this week's BSPA list of things to do.
  13. More confirmation in part that people see what they want to see and hear what they want to hear. I never saw any track doctoring (not you, that's further up). We're pretty naff at it if there was, given our home record will cost us the play-offs. I never heard any cheer when Schlein fell off. The bloke playing the music probably never even saw Schlein hit the deck. If he still sits at the end of the box then you'll notice the large metal stantion that obscures the fourth bend. All he probably saw was 2 Panthers crossing the line first.
  14. As Del Trotter said: "That's your problem (well one of many) you will insist on thinking".
  15. Usually they'll wait to see if we can make the play-offs. If it's looking likely then any decision will go against us. If we can't make the play-offs then the decision will go for us. That's how it worked last time anyway.
  16. The major difference is that Frost/Mahoney could run at the expensive unhelpful EoES whereas it's brought everyone else to their knees. It was a golden opportunity wasted, much possibly self inflicted. I hope Rathbone has a kind bank manager and sponsors because enthusiasm doesn't pay the EoES and other bills. You do realise that Tsunami is the BSPA forum representative
  17. Different set of circumstances but fair point and doubt that it'll be the last time that it happens: Hawkins/Oakes & Easter - Horton/Horton - Horton/Frost & Mahoney - Frost & Mahoney/Rathbone, get the drift.
  18. He should have bothered though and he might not have qualified it with "I can only speak for myself, but I had a good conversation with Colin Horton last week and he said nothing but positive things about Peterborough. He told me the club is fine and he is going nowhere." - that was 2007 and in 2008 Horton was history and Frost had to save the club and allegedly sort out what Andersen was owed
  19. As Hans Andersen once said "I've got better things to do than bother about internet forums" - it's not difficult to see why.
  20. Not much happening or mention elsewhere it seems so hot air and programme filler?
  21. I've been equally frustrated many times before when the opposition have blasted around the home team so I get what you say. Trouble is that it's bloody obvious what's going to happen but it just keeps happening Likewise with Bacon, we hear all this guff about motors, who's helping him and what he's doing elsewhere, but then he tops it with a lemon of a ride like heat 14 yesterday, First to last on the inside tram line. He's picking up a few points now with some extra speed but doesn't seem to be learning how to ride the EoES. He just doesn't look aggressive on the bike so I'm not sure that he's up to it anyway, time will tell.
  22. I think that the SWC is an annual pointless toilet that could be sorted out over a weekend, so I think that WC looks spot on
  23. That's the problem with thinking it's one not to miss, it rarely turns out that way. I can't see how your expectations are so high being a Kings Lynn supporter? It wasn't a classic due to Glasgow's heat leaders not turning up but there was plenty of passing and fast action on another well prepared circuit. I don't agree that it was slick, as has been said said by others, and they are clearly trying to reintroduce a more effective inside line. Given Panthers dire position and form, I think this was perhaps one for the home fans, so I enjoyed it but can understand your lack of enthusiasm.
