  1. If they've got the big water truck that chucks out a good dose then it's not too hard. If it's the crop sprayer that dries as quick as it damps the surface then you could be right.
  2. You've been looking at the big events in Ipswich pages for ideas haven't you
  3. It just needs to say any day with a Y in it. We need to run when the EoES give us dates, If that was 4 different days in a month the so be it. Why?
  4. And I was counting over the whole season (and it's still 50/50 if you want to pick this moment in time anyway) when we have more Fridays and will continue to do so I'd guess as long as we run at the EoES. Changing official raceday half way through the season for convenience would probably open a whole can of worms.
  5. Another one who hasn't actually looked at the fixture list. Do the days count and look at what's reserved. Badly. Instead of putting out the fire at source with a cup of water and sensible decision making and reasoning, they did what they do best and threw a litre of petrol on it (Dope would have been more appropriate terminology I suppose).
  6. You do your job well. There are always two sides to a story but you put forward a good case on the issues.
  7. Looking at how and what you write I doubt that you and education ever crossed paths.
  8. Just the PL version of stevebrum. Losing brum is the only benefit of a PL thread but then pops up his understudy.
  9. I'm sure that his manager will post something to clarify the situation and explain where it went wrong.
  10. Hopefully he's nicked the roving mic as a souvenir.
  11. Owning the place is a big plus and makes a lot of difference. Take what you have, enjoy it and be careful what you wish or you could be that visiting team before you know it
  12. Speedway's a Vanarama product with similar crowd levels though. Until that finance and hard work is put into the overall product nationally then locally it'll soon wear thin with those currently putting the money and effort in. Looking at the Glasgow website I thought that it looked very much like the start of the RF era at Peterborough. Facebook, Twitter, Tiger's TV, online shop, Red Alert news updates and even an App thingy. It all sounds very familiar.
  13. I'm sure that they think like that anyway but stadium/rider availabity must make it rather difficult these days. Not impossible but plenty of variables to put a spanner in the works. Do ice hockey players play for anyone else (either inside or outside of the UK) and all live in this country.
  14. Not even a big team in the PL these days Given our recent history (well 10 years +) that's not a good place to be.
  15. Which isn't a fault of Rathbone because it's been as and when speedway for over a decade now (and often none during the best part of the season) which is why Panthers at the EoES need a sugar daddy. Those who say that they wouldn't want Frost & Mahoney back (and I understand that Bratters suggested that they needed to move out when they first arrived?) need to wake up. With speedway in a mess then F&M will not return. Budget and community speedway at the EoES no longer mix IMO, despite the EoES allegedly wanting us there (under their terms it would appear and with little understanding of our busines). Now that the honeymoon is over after the winter of 2014, is this a crisis or just a blip? Time will tell. Interesting Glasgow thread with a few comments on the cost of their speedway now as they try to up the product, with a Panthers fan happy to pay £22.50 for their top 4 (tongue in cheek I assume) . Panthers fans moaned about £17.50 in the EL so we need to bottle his enthusiasm
  16. Have you actually looked at the fixture list.
  17. Steady on Stilts has got in on the act now though, so we can draw a line under this. He's never one to get controversial so retirement must be turning him into Victor Meldrew. End of topic it is then
  18. Each to their own and it also meets the approval of the northern oracle (of, I have a lot of respect for Rick but speedway was just not for him fame) so a double negative
  19. After promising the fans great times and apparently "He particularly enjoys new challenges and innovations to solve problems or improve efficiencies", I'd say that dumping us in the PL, also back under Horton where we knew how it would end, nearly closing us a couple of times before camping in Dorset isn't much to be proud of. In fact on Nov 19 we were still "Readypower Panthers"
  20. But before that ill-judged scenario arose, Poole still didn't muck around which is the point. When Frost was at Peterborough giving the benefit of the doubt to under-performing riders it was often pointed out that success would only come if he followed the Poole model. It never came because he never did.
  21. It probably was but they couldn't get who they wanted and/or wouldn't pay what they considered silly money when running on a tight budget. It's a fine line between good decision and false economy.
