  1. I'm a Panthers fan and have no idea why you are getting so wound up about this. Perhaps you can clarify what consideration and respect I should be showing because I'm buggered if I know what that is? As an access route to and from the stand if people choose to use the back exits I'd say that it does impead. If all of the seats were taken then I think that some common sense could be used but the former is unlikely and the latter is fantasy these days.
  2. I shall be looking at the local press with interest and scanning any stand shots for infractions, of which I expect will be many. At the end of the day we know that it's been the case now for about 15 years that the EoES says jump and we ask how high? However, with their tough new stance on H&S I'd imagine that we're within our rights now to ask for a safety net.
  3. Will be interesting to see how the new health and safety regulations apply during Truckfest on May 1 & 2. Perhaps someone who goes could report back. I'd guess that it's a speedway only problem. Having said that, just sit down or stand elsewhere, it really isn't worth getting upset about. I'm sorry if that sounds patronising or disrespectful (not aimed at you spencebel) but in the bigger picture of Peterborough Speedway this really is chicken feed.
  4. Standing at the back has been an issue for a few years although seemingly ignored and not fully enforced. A new season and a new push on the issue. Wouldn't most speedway fans give their right arm for a free seat, right next to the action in a 2200 seater stand? I appreciate that some people like to stand but there are plenty of other options to do that. It's not a big issue going to cost you anything so why should it part of the season ticket T&Cs. If you're a regular you'd know about the situation. If not you'd just sit down or stand elsewhere. More often than not officials are jobsworth types so you have to allow them their power trip.
  5. "The T Balfe Construction Panthers supremo" - got the local primary school doing the press again though! Thought we'd got an adult in post but he must have moved on?
  6. That's True. As Rick Frost said, when did I buy a *** guest house?
  7. Tubbs & Edward from the Alwalton shop were not too happy allegedly.
  8. It does if they can't find or strike the right deal with someone else. Where has everyone's faith in Ged gone?
  9. Thursday or Friday night would stop the question everytime although Friday is our most popular raceday anyway in 2016.
  10. I'm impressed by the fortune telling of our local comic: "SPEEDWAY: Panthers’ 2016 title heroes to be re-united for testimonial"
  11. True. Somehow the Peterborough management never got that, hence being pot less since 2006!
  12. All sounds a bit like record season ticket sales and bigger attendaces. Or the lesson from 2013, if it's not working then change it pdq. I don't think Rathbone will hang about as the Readypower management team always did, although whether he'll have the funds available now to pay over the odds if need be is a different matter.
  13. You have to differentiate between fans and idiots who are just out for a reaction. You've just made stunt's day. Best to ignore in future. That's probably using whatever guideline they've put in the public domain, which probably differs from the recent behind closed doors rewrite.
  14. No doubt on a wind up, it's hard to tell. Best to ignore: "Its quite easy to get people wound up on here, now breathe and relax. Merry Xmas." (That was stunt btw)
  15. Johnson added: “It is worth emphasising again how happy we are with the six riders we’ve already signed." & that was only Friday so would look pretty silly if that's been ripped up!
  16. C'mon, you wouldn't expect the website to be up to date with current news & views Without the detail it means nothing but is a good soundbite all the same and it's good to get someone on board. Will be more interesting to see if it's a new name or one of the regulars. He probably thought that you were an idiot. He deals with gift requests, not employment law. He no doubt forwarded your e-mail to Rudolph to deal with so I wouldn't hold out too much hope of a reply.
  17. That's when the speedway season should start anyway.
  18. A legend in his own lunchtime clearly. It's not a pseudonym for Craig Saul is it? I would be slipping if that is the case
  19. He probably wants to see who this Kev the rev is so will indeed see the fluffy bunny brigade soon
  20. Is that the announcement our looney friend told us to expect? As per usual he's sold us a lemon.
  21. No good being a Peterborough fan then, those days are long gone.
