The new promotion really are rolling back the years for sure, great to have riders and a manager with local connections. Josh Bates is a up and coming rider from Barnsley and will do good job for us at reserve, and to have Joe Screen as manager will not only help Josh Bates education in the sport but he will no doubt create a great team spirit and that is what we need. Is it March yet.

If Matt wants to go where money is that is upto him, Buxton will always be the better club even if can't afford to splash out like some, Great that Liam Carr will be back !

fair enough and i am sure Jayne is putting in a lot of work behind the scenes but maybe just get themselves in news more often would let people know about Buxton rather than just 7 rider announcements. I certainly love my visits to Buxton, in between heats a nice burger and one hell of a view on back straight !

like i said it is not me you are trying to convince to go speedway, it is people who don't go and i can see as others can also why people do not go, lack of value for money. Under all your theories once all of us have died it wont be sustainable, there will be no speedway ! And everyone loves different sports for various reasons, fact is Speedway does not have the support and promoters have to provide more to try and bring new fans in, not just be happy with die hards turning up because one day we will be all gone.

£15 a WEEK is expensive for the product on show ! I don't get freebie tickets, i work hell of a lot of hours but for price i expect more and at other places i get better value for money, simples ! but i still go speedway because i love it but it is not me your trying to convince to come it is the floaters who pick and choose and the ones who have never been then they go home disappointed with what they paid for. The only people who can help British Speedway is the promoters, try to do the right things and fans might just be happy but if you just expect them to show up then your onto a loser. The price goes up because not enough are turning up so they cover costs of die hards but even them turn away at somepoint.

you really do not get it do you ??? Speedway is competing against a lot of other sports and activities and there is a reason for only 800 through turnstile, not enough on offer compared to elsewhere !!!! and like you said 2014 we expect more than just an update from past.

no, i was challenging your argument/opinion/thought whatever you would like to call it. and all you can come back with is some petty poundland remark which is pointless and adds nothing to the debate except maybe you think i shop there lol I pay whatever price is on odd trip to Belle Vue but it would not be unreasonable to cap all speedway at £15 maximum, it is a fair price, anything over that to a lot of people is off putting specially when it is every week. A lot of promoters have your train of thought, just expect fans to turn up so track stays open instead of putting effort in to create a good overall product. well the raffle is crap, they don't exactly advertise the chance to go in pits or to go on centre green etc Sheffield stopped being progressive years ago, hopefully that changes now with new promotion.

I treat buxton as my second track, and i can see where bw double is coming from ! The official website don't have a mention of the first signing at all. How are people supposed to know track is there if you don't keep it in the news, articles don't have to be 7 rider announcements and that is it !

ten pin bowling is a social event with friends not a hobby unless you take it serious. Glad your not a promoter, the place would be shut in five minutes ! going on your posts this is what your track would be like £16 to get in no way of improving fans relationship with club you would just expect us to turn up get drunk and watch 15 minutes of action. I don't go to speedway to socialise with people, i go to watch SPEEDWAY and support the team !

Well what else is on offer at speedway then except 15 minutes of speedway, i think £15 should be the maximum a promotion can charge and maybe a home meeting every two weeks may help people afford also. I go to Ice Hockey and get much much more value for money, i even take part in shirt off back raffle where if you win you choose favourite player and get his shirt and photo taken with player and they also do 50/50 draw where again you choose favourite player to hand you cash and photo taken as well, they involve fans in what is happening on and off the ice. But i still go speedway because i love it but that love certainly gets tested from time to time when stood around waiting for something to happen, sometimes it is just crap and hard to justify the cost each week.

plus they normally time it so it can go in speedway star article also.

Nick Morris would be great also but even if not Morris, with Compton at reserve there is a few good options for main body of team still.

Agreed would make us much stronger team and be a huge mistake by new promotion if they didn't take advantage of Compton's low average, but seems most want Koppe and another 3 pointer if Albin does not return due to lack of sponsorship/ place to stay.
